Speed, stamina, precision, tempo, power, groove, good taste, creativity, no-pain no-gain attitide, that's Eloy. The perfect drummer for any metal band. Maybe, just maybe, as Estepario says, we're looking at the greatest metal drummer ever.

Even though I also admire Estepario as the huge drummer that he is, I do not doubt that Eloy was far better to assume the drums in Slipknot since his extensive experience in working in a huge band creating music, doing festivals and shows around the world as a Sepultura member. Did you see him in his first week as a Slipknot drummer? He delivered all without fail for the delight of the lucky fans over there. Also, You can see in the band performance that he ignites his new band members on stage as well!
Best drummer in the world, some of us been saying for MANY years while he was with Sepultura. Proud to share a name with this beast. As for better choice for Slipknot? No better choice exists, including Estepario. Eloy is light years ahead of Estepario, and Estepario is of course also a total beast!

Jorge stated very early on that he had no desire to be Slipknots new drummer. And even if he did I still feel Eloy's aggression and "Chose Violence This Morning" style fits way better with Slipknot.
Eloy is a force of nature!
Bear in mind - it's all with a single "practice" mic and just a bit of compression. You can hear every single hit perfectly, including the double pedal (on a single bass drum!). But along with the force come great dynamics, so the cymbals aren't too loud comparing to the toms etc. Also - groovy as hell, perfect timing, complex and fun fills. Dude is a fucking powerhouse, a perfect fit for any nu-metal band.
Bro I’m Brazilian and I can tell you it’s just the beginning for you guys.. lol this guy is a fucking star in Brazil for being a GREAT drummer of any Type of music since he was 15.. maybe not Jazz, that’s what he said lol
Yeah, I've been watching Eloy's career closely, since he joined Sepultura. Igor left some serious boots to fill. Unsurprisingly, Eloy used all his latin-percussive elements in his playing, which was ideal for them. No wonder Brazil is so proud. I hope he uses these same "traditional" influences in new Slipknot material, so I'm hyped for another album - like pretty much never before. Cheers from Europe, btw! :D

J'adore Eloy et il est parfait pour Slipknot mais je suis penché sur celui qui l'a remplacé chez Sepultura et franchement, Greyson Nekrutman est tout simplement extraordinaire !!!! On a une génération de batteurs vraiment folle !!!!
First time I ever heard slipknot, the first thing I noticed was the drums. When Joey was fired I was genuinely saddened. While Jay did a good job replacing Joey, I dont think he matched the same intensity or speed. Eloy has me once again excited for my old favorite metal band. I love his drumming and he sounds so good playing the slipknot material. I cannot wait to see the new stuff they come up with, its going to be insane.
I don't know if I am happier for him to have found his way to Slipknot or for Slipknot to have him as a member! In the end, the Heavy Metal fans got a win-win situation! 🤘

Right hand , foots . I have ten fingers on my crappy virtual drums covers and i will never reach a 40 % of what he plays .

That was absolutely mother f****** incredible that s*** at the end with the double bass and the simple joke just unbelievably talented somebody might have set up before that he might be too good for Slipknot they might just be on the money with that then again maybe he'll help Slipknot up their game and they'll just get even better than they already are
