Yamcha is one of my favorites and it's a shame they keep screwing him over. Even in Dragon Ball Super where pretty much all of the weak non-saiyan characters get a redemption power up Yamcha was the only one left out. He's also the first who created a version of the Instant Transmission Kamehameha against the Saibaman but instead of Instant Transmission he uses After Image.
It sucks especially when he enters the World Tournament and ends up having to fight someone who either ends winning the tournament and loses in his first match. The first time he entered he ended up fighting Jackie Chun/Master Roshi who was the strongest fighter there and won the tournament. Second time he lost to Tien who ended up winning the thing. Third time he entered he lost to Kami, Kami didn't win the tournament but the dude is the Guardian of the Earth and was even stronger than King Piccolo. By now Akira is probably going along with Yamcha being a joke. I mean look at the people signed up in the tournament of power saga, they got Master Roshi, someone that Yamcha surpassed a long time ago, Monaka who is the weaker than a regular human and they revived Frieza again. They decided to bring back one of the most hated villains in the DBZ universe over redeeming one of the early fan favorites.
Yamcha in Dragon Ball was basically Vegeta before Vegeta was introduced, a former rival of Goku's who gets defeated by a new character to show how strong they are, which sets the stage for Goku to come in to show how powerful he is.

Yamcha should marry with Launch. They both have common problems. They both have social interaction problems. Yamcha is too shy to date with other women. In first DBZ episode Bulma said he cheated on her. But I don't think so. In fact Bulma was always flirtatious with other men. And Yamcha was always the shy around women. So he's only comfortable with the women he knows.And he knows Launch. In the other hand Launch has strange dual personality. She's a nice person while her hair is blue but she goes full crazy while her hair is blonde. So just like Yamcha she has similar social problems in some degree. They are hopeless with their lacking social skills. And they both have heartbreak from their old relationships. Bulma left Yamcha in a disgusting way. She went to Vegeta who is responsible Yamcha's death. Vegeta gave order to his pets (saibamen) to attach eartling fighters. She left him with a bulshit cheating excuse and she has chosen a mass murderer for her future family. She's a total bitch. So Yamcha deserves better. Lauch loved Tien but Tien was stupid enough to reject her. After this incident she was lost. I guess with her crazy blonde persona she couldn't find love. And her old friends were perfidious. They never called her again. Yes Roshi, Krilin and Goku acted like a douche to her. They were the most closest friends of her. But they didn't care for her. Yamcha is the same. In Dragon Ball Super he's nothing more than a joke. In baseball episode he revived his worst memory. And this was supposed to be funny. Yamcha and Lauch have same faith. Toriyama e makes great characters and then he trashes them all. Dragon Ball Super is all about Goku and Vegeta. And Goku portrays himself as an idiot. Vegeta is the same arrogant douchebag. My favourite character Piccolo is just a babysitter for Goku's family. GT was terrible. But at least Yamcha and Lauch were safe in GT. They weren't suffering mediocrity. GT trashed all characters but Yamcha and Lauch were at least far away from that shitty storyline. Somehow their loser fate won in that universe with disappearing. At least in GT they won with loosing. In Super Yamcha is still suffering. They have chosen Roshi instead of Yamcha for the tournament. I'm not against Roshi choice. In fact that's great. I missed Jackie Chun performance of Dragon Ball era. But he can't fly. And he's not stronger than Yamcha. Yes he's more experienced but there must be a way to include both in that tournament. Anyways they thought Yamcha's humiliation was not enough. They simply have chosen less powerfull fighter. Yamcha and Launch have more in common. They are both lonely. Becouse they both have perfidious friends. They both wanted love in their life. Bulma demolished Yamcha's dream and Tien rejected a dream girlfriend. Even in her crazy form Launch was super hot. I really suspected Tien's situation. I mean come on! How can a man refuse a hot lady like Lauch? And why is he still hanging around with Chiaotzu? That's kind of a creepy. Anyways Yamcha and Lauch deserves better thins in their life. Becouse they did their best to help their friends. And they tried to be more social.They really tried hard but they both lost their battles. So they should find some love.

The Joker after cell he stops fighting on the grounds that he'll never get as strong as goku or vegeta. krillin still went to fight babadi even though he knew he wasn't as strong as them, he even entered the World Martial Arts Tournament. Yamaha only watched. he also complained that there was no point in going on all throughout the Android and cell sagas. krillin also complained, but he never gave up. krillin was also the first one to charge perfect cell. Yamaha is as useless as they come, ever sense his death by explosion. he's been a quitter pretty much onward.
even in the buu arc, when krillin charged buu to give others time to run, yamcha runs as well like a bitch maybe if helped maybe more than just guarding might of survived
Yamcha is stronger that Perfect Cell only in filler. He is my favourite character, but we have to stay true to the manga. I feel bad for him not playing a big roll in the Super as he is way stronger than Roshi and his attacks can have devastating effects (in a tactical way).

I really like how they always portrayed Yamcha in the video games. Light on his feet, fast, and a very up closed rush type fighter. I could have seen them utilize this in Super. Yamcha being a physical attacker rather than blasting beams like everyone else.

The primary character point in Dragon Ball was Yamcha's crippling fear of women. Every time he was in a position to get the jump on Goku, Bulma would show up and make him freak out and run, and Puar commented often on his fear of girls. So his female issues predate Bulma by a substantial amount.
That's what I dislike about DragonBall: saiyans are overtuned and the gap in power levels compared to other races such as humans and namekians is drastic. Basically if you're not Saiyan you don't stand a chance, so you never get to see the humans like Krillin, Tien or Yamcha, or even Piccolo grow in power, they reach their limit and their limit is nowhere near the power of a saiyan. Heck not even the half saiyans Gohan, Goten and Trunk's power is really explored. The series (especially DB Super) focuses too much on Goku and Vegeta, the rest of the Z warriors is just left behind.

There are several possible explanations for Gohan being a SS: 1) Yam is secretly playing the long con and is a Saiyan himself. 2) Goku's sperm happened to vibrate in the exact way it needed to to fuse with the yam fertilized chichi egg; gross yes, but the biology checks out. 3) Chichi collected all the dballs and wished for Gohan to be part Saiyan to hide her unfaithfulness. 4) The final (and most likely) is that Goku and Yamcha are the parents b/c they've hinted Goku's superballs could impregnate anyone (see episode 4, 62, & 125).

Yamcha is so underrated. I've always liked him, but humans in DBZ disappear past a certain point, and for some reason, he's the most teased of all. There's so many memes about him. People still gives some credit to Krillin and Tien, but not to him. Yet, he's an interesting character with some cool techniques. Also, didn't he made a 180° turn, at a certain point, and become a playboy? Wasn't he dumped by Bulma cause he cheated on her? Probably he'll never be happy because he'll never stick with the same woman for long
I always liked Yamsha and really hate that he's always being treated as a joke. Not that the series is that serious anymore to begin with, I mean Roshi got into the ToP and somehow caught up to the level of the gods because the plot demanded it.
It has to be said that in Dragonball; Yamcha was defeated by some very powerful opponents during the tournaments. Most of those guys gave Goku a lot of bother at the time when he fought them. In fact Master Roshi (Under the guise of Jackie Chun) did actually defeat Goku in the final match for the 21st martial arts tournament. Yamcha still had a great deal of credibility back then even if he was unlucky to face them.

Yamcha has one of my favorite character designs in Dragon Ball..His first costume was the best
I really like how they always portrayed Yamcha in the video games. Light on his feet, fast, and a very up closed rush type fighter. I could have seen them utilize this in Super. Yamcha being a physical attacker rather than blasting beams like everyone else.

I'm glad u did this yamcha is indeed one of my favorite characters in db/z everybody gives him grief for that saibaman death but fail to realize it's a SELF DESTRUCT attack by a fucking alien he himself did not think would happen. in his defense he's human u can't forget that and ppl also fail to realize it was a battle of inhumans that krillin nor yamcha shouldve had any part of. I mean gohan neither because he's a child but that's besides the point, but that saibaman could've blew up on anybody hell chaotzu blew himself up for nothing and theirs no meme about that but I digress. all in all besides krillin who he himself is a bigger coward than yamcha himself, they are still one of the strongest humans on the planet. The primary character point in Dragon Ball was Yamcha's crippling fear of women. Every time he was in a position to get the jump on Goku, Bulma would show up and make him freak out and run, and Puar commented often on his fear of girls. So his female issues predate Bulma by a substantial amount.

That's what I dislike about DragonBall: saiyans are overtuned and the gap in power levels compared to other races such as humans and namekians is drastic. Basically if you're not Saiyan you don't stand a chance, so you never get to see the humans like Krillin, Tien or Yamcha, or even Piccolo grow in power, they reach their limit and their limit is nowhere near the power of a saiyan. Heck not even the half saiyans Gohan, Goten and Trunk's power is really explored. The series (especially DB Super) focuses too much on Goku and Vegeta, the rest of the Z warriors is just left behind.

There are several possible explanations for Gohan being a SS: 1) Yam is secretly playing the long con and is a Saiyan himself. 2) Goku's sperm happened to vibrate in the exact way it needed to to fuse with the yam fertilized chichi egg; gross yes, but the biology checks out. 3) Chichi collected all the dballs and wished for Gohan to be part Saiyan to hide her unfaithfulness. 4) The final (and most likely) is that Goku and Yamcha are the parents b/c they've hinted Goku's superballs could impregnate anyone (see episode 4, 62, & 125).

Yamcha is so underrated. I've always liked him, but humans in DBZ disappear past a certain point, and for some reason, he's the most teased of all. There's so many memes about him. People still gives some credit to Krillin and Tien, but not to him. Yet, he's an interesting character with some cool techniques.
Also, didn't he made a 180° turn, at a certain point, and become a playboy? Wasn't he dumped by Bulma cause he cheated on her? Probably he'll never be happy because he'll never stick with the same woman for long

It has to be said that in Dragonball; Yamcha was defeated by some very powerful opponents during the tournaments. Most of those guys gave Goku a lot of bother at the time when he fought them. In fact Master Roshi (Under the guise of Jackie Chun) did actually defeat Goku in the final match for the 21st martial arts tournament. Yamcha still had a great deal of credibility back then even if he was unlucky to face them.
I couldn't stop myself laughing when I saw those fusion names whom Yam-cha fused to.
