Yamcha is the most human person of the Z Fighters, anyone beaten and outclassed that many times would have given up on fighting a long time ago and have low self esteem.

@Rad Metal I’m actually neutral on him, I agree that he should’ve died permanently, but then I wouldn’t get to see Vegetto, my favorite fusion since he talks smack while actually smacking around his opponent, and he does have his moments. What made him irredeemable to me were his actions in the Cell and Buu Sagas, being super selfish and throwing everything for a good fight which never ends well for him. Although I disliked Super, they made him a bit more likable since they show him caring for his family, and even for U6. I also can’t forgive him for contributing to the irrelevance of the OG cast, Yamcha, Tien, and even Piccolo don’t deserve the disrespect they get.

Yamcha's acting very modest in these cutscenes, but is cocky when playing as him.

Why won't they let Yamcha be happy ? He climbed corin's tower and took the sacred water , he trained with Roshi, kami, king Kai, and trained with the most legendary heroes in all the galaxy. When he fought the hero that inspired the tales of Hercules he smacked him around, Goku had to turn SSJ2 TO fight the same guy to a draw. He's also a professional baseball player. How is he just a joke?

@Jesus Pabon 11 months later but yamcha had power level of around 500k in the cell saga so he'd be on par with 1st form frieza but that's about it, if we were talking about buu saga yamcha then he'd be stronger than frieza until he turns into his final form

I feel honestly so bad for this guy. One of earth's strongest humans and he's only remembered for the time he was cheapshot by an LGM. And they neglect the fact that he did it so Krillian wouldn't die again.
Also, Yamcha was stronger than than that Saibaman and actually won against it. But all people ever remember is how he died from a cheapshot
That's humanity in a nutshell, finding something so petty to make a big deal about. Toriyama didn't exactly make things better with his forgetting things from time to time. Although to be fair, this happened because Yamcha didn't finish the Saibamen off, he assume his opponent was down and he let his guard down. The formerly incapacitated Saibamen jumped up and grabbed him. Then, it self-destructed. None of us knew what would happen except Vegeta and Nappa. It is a sad thing overall, but always expect someone from the crowd to make something tragic into a big joke. The fact that humans follows along with it shows some humans have such a mentality that's often compared to sheep.
*12:49* Keep that same energy. Everyone calling Yamcha useless and weak should've been his greatest motivation. Maybe he can prove Whis what he's capable of and obtain god ki.
When that happens long enough, you start to believe it yourself. I've been there or Ng enough being shit on for over 10 years at one point. It really blew ngl, and it's depression central too. Especially when everyone you know is fully expecting you to fail at anything and everything you do, and blows off any wins you do get.

People say that Yancha is weak, yet that time he snuck into the gravity room set to Vegeta's level, he was able to tank the sudden spike in gravity and was able to walk out with minor damage. Goku on his way to Namek was badly beaten by less gravity than that... It's not that Yamcha is weak, it's just that he's comparing his gains to the wrong people...

Totally Niv Lugassi, he's got so much potential... all the humans and Earthling characters do... that's what made the Manga "That Time I Got Reincarnated as Yamcha" such a brilliant story, shame its a the reincarnated character was a One Pony Otaku... could image being reincarnated in Dragon Ball and doing training and techniques methods from other anime/manga/games.
If Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Super was more about Martial Arts skill, techniques, tactics and effective training methods (Oh do I love me a good training montage... "even Rocky had a montage" lol) rather than transformations and huge power level... Yamcha and others would be kick a$$ fighters actually able to support the Saiyans. Because Toriyama forgot and abandoned all the original Dragon Ball fans in his hurry to do as much Sayian stuff as possible. And once someone made a meme out of Yamcha, he hurried to support it. Right now, DB consists of "Sayian!", "New powerful enemy, best attacks don't even cause a flinch!", "New Power Up Form! Defeat enemy with ease!" about 8 transformation ago, each transformation being a MASSIVE leap for Sayians, with the final one "Ultra Instinct" being one anyone can have...except Yamcha.

@@JasonDevil06 DBZ follows the manga, and it follows it logic, there is a reason most filler is ignored, because otherwise it makes no sense, like the hell filler contradict the story, no way in hell Yamcha and the others could have beaten the Ginyu special forces,at the very least it doesn't count as an example because it makes no sense, Bad guys are not given their bodies, their souls get reincarnated.
The evil entourage making fun of Yamcha is actually pretty funny, considering that he has Nappa beat in pure power by the time the game starts, and with the waves putting everyone on more or less equal power levels he may actually be a better martial artist than Cell and Freeza.

Heck even the final scenes with images from past characters did not have Yamcha in them. It's like they are trying to erase Yamcha from DB history even though he was more of a role in original DB..

Yamcha is one of Dragon Ball’s original Z-Warriors and the first major antagonist ever introduced in the series. In his early days, he was a rival to Goku but has since fallen to the wayside. But Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultra God Mission may be giving this legendary warrior a chance to shine once more with what is perhaps the single greatest feat of durability shown by a human in all of Dragon Ball’s history.
