I have one of the first Ruger American's, the build quality was definitly 'ruger' and it had to have a lot of work done to the bolt closure to actually make it work without having to force it over and down. It's a cheap no-frills gun which I eventually sold off...

The Gen 2 safety is different. It now has a bolt lock feature. Gen 1 didn't have that. Move the safety so 2 white arcs are showing and the bolt is locked. Slide it so only one white arc is exposed and its still on safe, but you can open the bolt. Thanks for the review!

Hey I have the gen 2 standard and bought different comb heights so you can swap the comb out but the bolt is a different material now so very smooth compared to gen 1 😅

    Great vid 👍
Is that just Standard 7.62 x39 Rack?
The time lapse between the Muzzle report and the Bullet striking the Metal Target seems very long, (for 100 Yards) more like a Subsonic.
Be interesting to see a few of them put over the Chrono.

That Gen 11 looks the Mutt's danglies Rack, loving the stock finish, similar style of rifle to the Bergara B14. Looking at the fluted barrel, (Anorak spoiler alert!)🙄...Does the fluting twist correlate with the internal twist rate?

@@racknload I use both, like most shooters nowadays I think. I was just getting at @davegrimshaw7318's silly MOA comment.
Anyway... I don't get your question, but 9mm is around 0.35in. How is that relevant for the joke? 🤷‍♂

@@racknload I can use both too. I've learned to measure things with all systems. Metric, imperial, bananas...
