HEIPI W28 3-in-1 Travel Tripod - Review | Best Compact Tripod 2024 for Outdoor & Fieldrecording

This is the New Ultra Compact Carbon Fibre Travel Tripod from HEIPI the W28 3 in 1 Travel Tripod.
This Tripod got a Nice Build Quality with a lot of Features and smart design and I think it´s the best looking Tripod right now.
The 3 Pillar Center Collum makes this Tripod the sturdiest Compact Tripod I´ve ever used.

I have one of the early tripods and the hook underneath the ballhead to attach extra weight and help stabilise the tripod was basically unusable. Heipi listened and changed it from a silly metal hook to a lanyard. Even better you can retrofit the new system to the earlier tripods for £7/€7/$7. Very happy

Great review with interesting details! I own this Ulanzi Zero tripod you showed for a second, but I changed ballhead to Manfrotto mh949 with arca swiss plate and now it is perfect travel tripod for me :)

nice review, but for cold, it is very likely the batteries, the chemical reaction is that slow, the current is lower than needed for normal response, with the 'v' mount, perhaps try a woolen teapot cozy, or the like, to keep the battery warm.

I think it was the LCD screens that don't like the cold because on audio recorder play and stop display was overplayed and camera screen was so laggy and motion blurry like I have a shutter speed of 3 seconds or something 🙈

Can the locking pins at 2:27 be removed from the ball head? I plan to use this with an L-bracket and those would likely get in the way.

Yes it was only an issue on the prototypes which was given away earlier to reviewers

I haven´t had my hands on a Peak Design. But I like this Tripod very much and prefer it over my Ulanzi Tripod because it´s massiv Ball Head which holds so much weight
