When I moved into my last house, we had a massive rat problem. Bought 15 vector traps, set 7 in the attic and the rest under the porch. The attic ones I had to empty not even 30 minutes later. Suffice to say, 2 weeks and around 40 rats, we finished.

Pellet guns are far more effective, but would certainly leave pellet holes on misses. Maybe a larger caliber would stun them more effectively. Maybe a paintball gun with rubber balls?

@@user-ng2df2xm8h have a green gas model of a glock18 made by KWA that I dispatched a trap shy mouse with the other night. It was so satisfying to hear the bastard scream when I hit him. Haven't seen any mouse sign since, so hoping I've got all their entry points plugged now.
@@user-ng2df2xm8h I'm a slingshot hobbyist but I do come across some air soft or air rifle videos, a mostly stainless steel slingshot with around 8mm steelballs does the job at those large rats, I only say 8mm incase you don't have time to aim at their vital points and can only hit like their ass, air soft or air rifle I haven't seen much video, but on average they go much faster and I've seen videos taking out doves and moles(and something that looks/acts like a mole).
In the end it's fun to use both, but slingshots needs less investment but everyone's budget is different.

Caught around 300 rats in a check cashing joint next to a couple of restaurants.
The rats were using the check cashing place as a nursery and getting unlimited food and water from the restaurants.

My ex’s mother was a hoarder so she had mice. I always thought there was only “some mice”. I would spend the night some times and I eventually had to do something about those damn mice, so I ordered a 50 pack of sticky traps and went to war with those mf’s. I was shocked at how many we caught that night. It started slow but by the end of the night we had close to 100. I was so fucking disgusted to know that I ever spent one night in that house but felt good about lowering their numbers.

I do special operations and that includes rat exclusions we were called to a barn and my boss shows up with a bunch of bags from academy filled with pellet pistols they were sig sauer p320s they were co2 but them things got the job done so this video made me kinda happy it made me remember my experience 😂

That room should've never been allowed to get so bad. As soon as it became evident that there were rats in that room, that room should've been cleared out, completely, to help expose the totality of the problem, and also, to minimize the places that the rats could use to hide.
Head down to a local shelter and spend time with different dogs to determine which ones are best suited for rat catching. Encouragement and patience with training could not only provide a means to clear rats but a new life for few lucky dogs. Neighbors keep Poodles and Yorkies for commercial chicken houses. Pretty impressive lil beasts....

This is the first episode I’ve jumped every time lol
I used to have a collection of pellet guns and this is an ideal use for them. Even the ones that shoot the slowest are good for ridding mice, rats, squirrels, and bun-buns. BB's bounce because iron has elasticity and the spherical shape causes them to bounce. Pellets don't bounce but do ricochet at acute angles.
These use 6mm plastic bbs instead of the smaller copper or steel bbs or pellets. Most plastic ones are biodegradable and shatter if they hit something harder than them. But they aboard moisture out of the air and basically turn to chalk after a while.
