Thanks for this, best video I've seen on reading waves. The part about seeing the crease/bump that makes the wave disappear, could you make a video about spotting that/knowing which waves will be mushy or fat?
Good tip on lining yourself up with landmarks. Keeps you in the right spot in the lineup and when there are rip tides/currents then at least you can adjust accordingly.
@@SurfingStuff well for bodyboarders they sink the board and use the natural buoyancy of the foam to "cork" out of the water as a lil boost for initiating paddling.
These videos are soooo helpful! I love seeing the videos and hearing you talk about the waves. Wave selection is something I'm still learning and struggling with so this is really helpful! More of this! haha
Good question. If you’re able to do a light angle take of or check then before the section breaks and then give it a couple of pumps and stay low while coming around the section it should help!
Two topics I find very difficult, Surfboard finns, and shapes of the surfboards, I am aware about if u are still not able to ride waves on a good manner I can not see the differences how the impact will be on different shapes of the surfboard. Regarding to Surf finns, longer fins? shorter fins? what about the shape of finns?
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks for your feedback. Glad it’s helpful 🙌
Exactly, what was the “bump”? 😢 could you help to circle it?

Yes it does for sure. Wise words there brother.
Shannon, can you do video explaining the "turn & burn" or "cork" take off?
Good idea. I kinda just mentioned it in one of my videos but I can make a sele rate tutorial on that!
Yo Muff! What is a ‘cork’ take off? Shannon needs to educate me!

Thanks for your feedback Mikaela. Hope you keep progressing in your surfing 🙌🙌
Do you have any tips on taking off deep behind the peak a bit and still making the section?

Also anything longboard wave selection would be even better but also love general!
Notes 👍 I’ll look into that. 😊

Those are good topics to talk about. Will get them done for sure. Thanks Alex
Thank you.
