    I followed your instructions for Maya, but the Camera doesn't Match and the Scaling of the Objects is also off...

    • @r00sterbok
      @r00sterbok 10 месяцев назад

      Same thing for me.I wonder if it was because of the FOV but I don't know which is the correct one to match it

    • @theapexpredator157
      @theapexpredator157 10 месяцев назад

      @@r00sterbokWhen you say FOV (Field of View) are you referring to the Angle of View (which has an Inverse Relationship with the Focal Length)?

    • @r00sterbok
      @r00sterbok 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@theapexpredator157 yes!

    • @theapexpredator157
      @theapexpredator157 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@r00sterbokWell... the Focal Length is shown on the image that you use when you check its properties and that should give the correct Angle of View if the camera is set up correctly in Maya, but idk for sure if that's the problem or the only problem...
      There are 3 possible reasons for why I think the Camera isn't getting set up correctly in Maya...
      1) User Error
      2) FSpy
      3) FSpy to Maya Importer (if this is being used at all...)
      Whatever the case, I haven't been able to solve this problem yet, but am working on it when I have time...

    Hello!
    I followed your method of Fspy to Blender to Maya, and for some reason my resolution gate and gate mask does not match the size of the image work. Not sure why, since my resolution settings are the same size as the image

    • @swapnanilnag3713
      @swapnanilnag3713 Год назад

      I am not sure it will work or not or if you already found a solution. But once try by just opening a new default blank scene in Maya and go to two views side by side and on one side go to the camera view. and other one as perspective. Check once if it works

    hi Abraham, what if i don't have a environment, have only a prop(i.e helmet or fire hydrant) to match multiple camera angles? can we do that in fspy ?

    • @Nexttut
      @Nexttut  Год назад

      Usually for simple props you just need to find the closest angle to a front or side view and work from there. You might not be able to match it perfectly but as long as you get 95% there you should be fine.

      nevermind, for some reason the whole process works perfectly until i import the camera to maya: it's stuck outside the resolution area and it doesn't even keep the perspective it had on blender.

    Nice tool. So I gonna use it to your Maya environment creation for Film course 👌🏻. You talk about environment and I have a request. In Maya, I would like to create a grass field. Can I use proxy as I can in Blender ? I know I can use Bifrost or Mash. Can you explain the best process. My goal is to have the minimum of polygons in my scene to avoid a Maya crash.

    • @Nexttut
      @Nexttut  Год назад

      Hey Barjazin! Yeah i think bifrost could be a good idea and even Mash, i feel Mash might be easier if you goal is to do some simple random distribution, bifrost might more useful for more complex stuff. I would try Mash first and see if you can get the result you are looking for.

    Hello Abraham, I’m not sure if you have talked before about AI generated Images before or not but we actually need to hear about that from such a professional artist like you who had worked before in different studios and knows how these studios might be thinking about that? We need to know your vision about the 3D Artist career in the nearest future and should we be worried or it’s going to help us more in our field. Thanks

    • @Nexttut
      @Nexttut  Год назад

      Hey my friend, i did a video several months ago when things were starting to appear. My general stance is as follows:
      AI is not going away, it is a tool that can be used to close the gap and accelerate processes however we need to use it in an ethical and responsible manner to ensure all artists are benefitted. I am completely against using it to plagiarize or get an economicall benefit at the expense of other people.
      As for our work going away i dont think that will happen but we will definitely see a shift in the coming years and the best we can do is again to adapt and use the new tools to create more amazing stuff.

    As a beginner artist I m having trouble with perspective, camera, focal length and object placement on the basic of the camera. The Fspy way is also good but when it comes to large environment design with no buildings or straight lines, it gets difficult, can you suggest a real way to learn and understand the topics I mentioned.
    Please help. (I usually start with a concept picture but when I block out the scene I usually dont get the sense of call or correct on=bject placement just like it looks in the concept image)

    • @Nexttut
      @Nexttut  Год назад +1

      Hi Karan! yeah when you dont have a specific way to find the perspective you will have to rely more in understanding the composition and playing with the 3d shapes inside of Maya of Blender. My advice is not to match the image exactly in those cases but rather to interpret the concept and think with logic on how the objects interact with each other. For instance ask yourself questions such as "how far is this sofa from the wall? does it make sense to have that distance if someone wants to walk behind it? how big should a refrigerator be?" These questions will ground the idea and make easier to understand the 3d space.
      Lastly remember that a concept is meant to guide our artisitic decisions not control it, if something doesnt make sense in the 3d world you can adapt it and change, always ask your client or art director but concepts often vary quite a bit from 2d to 3d.
