I don't know why you can match the image at last. But if you change the default Camera Aperture from 1.417 to 1.260 inches, you no longer have a 35mm camera. The 35mm equivalent 38mm focal length means the the lens's horizontal angle of view is the same as a 35mm camera with a 38mm focal length lens. So when you set your camera aperture to 1.26 inches, and your lens to 38mm, you won't have a same angle of view as in your image.
The first 45 seconds of this video solved all my problems! My focal length on my camera was 35mm so I gave my Maya camera a 35mm focal length, which wasn't working. Didn't know why not until I watched this! Still don't completely understand why it's different, but at least it works now! Thanks a lot 😊
Hello, what if we're trying to match to a drawing with no focal length information? Could you please give us a tip? thanks!
Bro, you don't know how much you helped me right now xD Thank you

This is the easiest way to match perspective with an image. Wish I had seen this video years ago.
Best camera matching tutorial I've found so far! great job.
Any tips if we don't know the focal length of the image? :D
cheers
I want to know this too :(
Great explanation. But what if we have reference of object in front of us. What height to give to the camera in this scenario?
Is it possible to perspective match panoramas?
how to know Aperture Value?
thank you for sharing!
my camera rotation too sensetive... it jumps to couple thousand degree
You can click on rotate and go far away from the rotate pivot and that will be less sensitive :)
So complicated
This is so much more easier in Modo. They have tools for this. Just a few clicks and its all set up.
I don't believe it.
