I have to thank you so much. I did a course in CGI on udemy but the guy teaching showed fspy but I didn’t really understand what he was doing in fspy. Your one is amazing and so clear. THANK YOU.

nice one thank you. What about blender side? How do you import and match the photos?

    • @WhatMakeArt
      @WhatMakeArt  9 месяцев назад +2

This shows how to install the fspy Blender Addon - need to make a full video showing what to do with the matched photo once in Blender

hi, why did you chose the "export camera parameters JSON" in the final example? I can't seem to import that in blender.

    • @WhatMakeArt

Yeah that was a mistake in the video

@@WhatMakeArt :) OK, thought that the 3point camera needed some other export setting lol, thanks!

Why does this video exist? What does it do that others haven't done? I feel like there have been other tutorials that cover fSpy more in-depth like the one by Bartosz Pampuch...
Also... why isn't Maya explored at all?

I appreciate the feedback. These videos are made for students in specific courses at a certain level, the goal is to cover what is needed for that lesson. Yes, there can be redundant knowledge on the Internet.
Hopefully those that are already familiar with fspy skip this one for other topics.
I try to cover Maya and Blender but haven't made a Maya fspy video yet, will likely make one in the future. Many students prefer to learn Blender since it costs a lot less than Maya

@@WhatMakeArtI see... you create specialized content that covers only certain areas while omitting others so as to not overwhelm students... I think that makes sense...
I'd appreciate a fSpy tutorial for Maya since my institution has us learning it... I think I prefer it over Blender though since the latter doesn't have Y-Up (as far as I know)...
I'm having trouble with getting the camera to get set up correctly in Maya, but yea... If you have time and see value in it, then I'd like to see if you can solve my problems...

The key with Maya is to type in all the correct camera information from fspy into the 3D camera in Maya, I will put that on the list because some of my students probably have the same question

I put all the information correctly from fSpy into Maya, but it still doesn't work out for me... Camera Position, Orientation as well as the Focal Length... It gives me a view that isn't like what I see in the image I use...@@WhatMakeArt

That's frustrating when something like that doesn't work ...
I assume you have seen these other videos, that cover f-spy and Maya? If not, perhaps they could help? ruclips.net/video/TMKmSsAj1jQ/видео.htmlsi=BzUociOi4x16-b_D
