Music video by The Beastie Boys performing She's On It. (C) 1999 The Island Def Jam Music Group
#BeastieBoys #ShesOnIt #Remastered #vevo
The first Beastie Boys song that I ever heard. Been loving their music ever since.
Beastie Boys are undoubtedly one of the greatest hip hop trios to ever get on the mic!!!!
In the middle of their transition, from hardcore punk to hip hop, nice that they managed to succeed on both levels.
probably one of their best jams.
#2
Rest in Heaven MCA, been my fav beastie since elementary school
they were just kids then, and on top of the world!
their music will never get old.
They only had a learners permit to be ill ,I just finished a 6 episode podcast on them and they were a favorite of mine before, no dogs in space
This song was my intro to the Beastie Boys! Heard this at a friend’s school dance about ‘85…been jamming ever since!
Same... First saw the video on some UHF channel a million years ago...
First I heard this on the Krush Groove soundtrack on Warner Bros Records in 1985
@@joshuaiowa2190😂 same here !
Oh what a time to be alive 🔥🔥
I went to a mixed Junior High School in Manhattan and we all though License to ill was cool 😎
My homies around the way used to play ▶️ it in the boom box 📻 🤣 that's certified ✅️
This was my first introduction to the Beastie Boys...I watched this video on MTV way back in 1985 at 14. Almost 53 now and still love The Beasties. RIP MCA.
RIP Adam, thank you for entertaining us.
This was considered hip-hop and no rock-oriented station would play it back in the day. I appreciate those that love the Beasties for their range in music, but before any of you who hate rap want to claim them, they were our first.
Beastie boys …. Still listening to them now .. Hell yeah 🤘🏻 I’m 50 yrs old .. Word !
word!
Were in my 6-disc CD player until the internet! Keep Jammin'.
This was the first single I bought, a 12 inch 45 single in 1986.
Welome. Im 52
Kids these days have no idea what real music is, take the video and voice correct away and what have you got ?
A TURD SANDWICH
What this rap outfit achieved in music in their time makes the word Legend look very small indeed.
i started learning guitar at age 12. after a few lessons my guitar tutor said bring in any tune, he'll teach me to play it. any tune i wanted. i brought this. as i played the tape i could see a look cross his face as if civilization were surely doomed. the early beasties were abrasive bratty and your parents and guitar teacher hated them. REST IN PEACE MCA one love
Not to be "that guy" but mca's the bass player. Adrocks the guitar player.....
I just realized this comments 10 yrs old lmfao
@@qwertyiuwg4uwtwthn This comment was written around the time of MCA's passing as a personal memory and tribute to him. You've come along a decade later with your pedantic, internet expert factoids claiming to not be 'that guy'. You sir, are the very definition of 'that guy'. embarrassing.
@@qwertyiuwg4uwtwthn Screenshot where i said MCA was the guitar player
Lol too funny 😂 🤟🏻🤙
First Beastie Boys’ song I heard before they took off!
Still listening in 2024!
These guys were so young, and had it made already. AWESOME!!
Back when music was fun. Thanks for the tunes, MCA !
Too true. Today's popular music is computer generated, humourless and mostly characterless clones. You have to go back a few decades to see real creativity in action.
@@andylec5879 95% of BB music, including this song, was computer generated.
@@andylec5879 🤣💦

@@smithies_jocks 🔥💃🏻🏡🎯
I used to love this song and no one ever talks about it!!! Used to watch it on MTV.
HER FINAL DECISION IS PERFECTION AND PRECISION
They could rap and rock, that's why they were so special!
MCA is freaking awesome! It aint going to be the same anymore without him, man.
R.I.P MCA
Traveling with Addy Walker was thinking that too, he's my fave cause he's the smartest, chillest and hottest
Hottest? Yeah, sure, the only man with a beard I’ve ever thought was cute
The Beastie Boys Forever 💯🔥🎤🎧🎤
They never failed to put comedy in their act.
for 1985, this is fire!
2024 ❤
It was groundbreaking
For 2025 it's still fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤘Still better than 95% of the stuff out here 2024, almost 40 years krush groove now 🤘🥸
Still have this one on "wax". Respect. RIP MCA
Beastie boys are the Beatles of my generation!
There are about 50 women about 50 years old all over north jersey who tell their kids “ that’s me in the beastie boys video”
their*
where was the video actually filmed?
@@theonlydjtopcat in the book it says on a "crappy beach near JFK airport" lol
@@krisirizarry somewhere on Long Beach. I'm sure someone will chime in on the exact beach.
I bet 90 to 95% of the women in this video are grandmothers now in 2021.
Still such a good song after all those years !! Luv it !! 💯😎🇺🇸🗽☺🤘✌
This was the first time I saw the Beastie Boys. Loved them now and forever.
Beastie Boys forever!!!
What a sound, they were outstanding
This was one of their first videos. Their voices hadn't even fully developed back then but their style was.
a young rick rubin explaining internet PROFIT logic. amazing
i've always loved "the beastie boys"
Same here
It was and is simply " Beastie Boys".
I saw this video for the first time at my Meme's in 1985. I have loved you ever since. RIP MCA.
Proof that any race n ethnicity can rap!
It's 2020 and I'm still listening to this
Argentina
So when is this calendar silly thing going to stop? We are all listening this during this lockdown, a lot of people are here during this 2020 for obvious reasons, what's next: the "nobody..." comment or the "hold my beer" joke?
She would get on her knees, if we only ask please.
why not im 35 lol
people look mad max lol the new one do they even see the one from 83 84 lol
Prime example - all the brilliant start with freedom to create...Thank god they did when they did!!
Man, this makes you remember that the 80's were so fucking great!!!
Greatest1979 Indeed! My childhood...
She majors in advanced def jam
This is a true treasure! There was never a song like this before it, and there has never been one since!
Cheap trick stiff competition
The revolution of the best of rap and beastie boys
These my dudes right here!
Hard hitting guitar on this song. Rocktober 21, 2024. Still an awesome tune all these years later
3:49...if MCA would have looked at me with the half smile, I would have been his forever. RIP MCA!
LMFAO! Back when the Beastie Boys were good. Back when music videos were great!
...oh the happy 80´s. Love it!
WHO KNEW THOSE THREE JEWISH KIDS FROM NEW YORK,WOULD BECOME SOME OF THE BIGGIST ICONIC GROUPS IN THE HISTORY OF RAP MUSIC.
well they're from new york, and were there during first stages of commercial rap in the early 80s, so..its not really that far a reach
Producer Rick Rubin is the "Professor"
thanks for the great music MCA, you will be missed
RIP MCA. Beastie Boyz 4 ever.
Beastie Boys fellow NYC natives
My god, where has the time gone? They look like they're 13 years old. I love this one. Great use of the riff from Cheap Trick's "Stiff Competition."
I always wondered where that riff came from. Thanks!
I think they were 18 in this video.
Came here looking to see if it was sampled or their own. Thanks! Btw, I prolly should’ve known this I live near and work in Rockford IL where Cheap Trick is from. They have always celebrated them here so I’m surprised I’ve never heard it.
MCA is 21, Mike D is 20 and Ad-Rock is 19 here.
Mike D was 12 or 13 when the group started in 1978 (the other members were 12, 15 and it’s hard to find anything out about the first bassist), MCA was nearly 17 when he joined in 1981 and Ad-Rock was the last to join at 15 in 1982. Goes to show musical talent is ageless. Could be 7 or 70
Props to that woman lasting that long in heels on a sandy beach. Queen.
Yes yall, this was 1985. First heard by many on the Krush Groove soundtrack from that year. This preceded their Licensed To Ill album.
I went from The Pet Shop Boys to The Beastie Boys! How did that happen?
Answer is I still love both😘
2020 I will always be listening...
I didn't have cable until 1987. "Rapper's Delight" was out before MTV and it went platinum. "The Message" went gold in '82." Rapture" went gold or platinum in '82. I own those records from the time they came out.
Gonna Miss you MCA! Hope your tearing it up upstairs man!
Reading the book. Finding the seeds of Beastie Boys.
Wow they were so young! I just love love love these guys everything about them
This is BEYOND fire
These guys are a riot!!
This is pure 80's style and everythin else
This track was on the soundtrack for the Movie "Krush Groove"
DEM BOYS CAME ALONG AT THE RITE TIME & STILL ROCK....85---TILL BROOKLYN & BACK AGAIN................
Lol ah memories. They made the best party music!
Long Island radio station WLIR luckily had the balls to play this back when it came out. That was the first I’d heard the Beastie Boys.. I’m glad we had a cool station like that, it totally changed my musical tastes.
This song is timeless like many of their classic hits. Makes me go back to my pre teens. Beastie Boys forever!!!
Beastie Boys forever!!!
RIP MCA! I grew up jamming to the BB's. They completely changed the music world... 8-)
I remember this track from Krush Groove. 1:02 That smile between MCA and Ad Rock is why it wouldn’t work without Yauch.
I have tried to emulate these guys for over 30 years.
"While the Beastie Boys started as a punk band in the late 1970s, they had evolved into a hip hop band by the early 1980s. They then worked with Rick Rubin and Def Jam on the License to Ill LP, and became huge stars.
"She's On It" was an early example of the Rick Rubin rap/rock style and Rubin even appears in the video. The song did not chart, but the video was played on MTV "
Was this a quote?

Egg raid on mojo there first rock single or tape I forget but it's crazy how they transformed in hip hop stars legends
Yup, got lots of play on MTV back in 85, MTV’s Basement Tapes
The song was released in UK in summer 1987 and reached top 10
They were so young in this vid, they hadn't even perfected their vocals here, awesome.
Great song! Party party...
another gem discovered......
God, look how young they were.
Hard to remember a time when we didn't have lines on our forehead, baby-faced.
Them baby faces...sigh
How time goes by
A part of me died today, thank you MCA for making my life that much better.
2019, STILL LISTENING!!!
2023 I will always be listening.
My favorite song by the Beasties, it’s not easy to find streaming and it’s not on any greatest hits.. I’m into the guitar.. This was a good time in my life for sure.
Actually, it is on "The Sounds Of Science" anthology. If I remember correctly, though, there were different versions of the anthology.
She's on it, I'm on it, we're all on it!
Its funny how out of all the rap groups of the 80s ...the beasties out lasted all of them !
Public Enemy would like a word.
Run DMC would also like a word.
2 Live Crew....
@@smithies_jocks 2 live crew haven't released an album since the 90s...
@@kevinwagner1451 You are technically correct, under that name, I was thinking of Luke's solo stuff which was released up to 2006. You are right though.

Pioneers right here!
Never gets old
Watch carefully at 1:01-1:03, with Ad Rock and MCA. They are really smiling at each other, which goes to show how much fun this band was.
This and Run DMC's "its like that" were the first single's I bought in my youth, second hand from a school fete lol. Played them to death :)
A school feet?
You know MC is a master of ceremonies right? Has nothing to do with the words you say.
1986 I had their posters and albums as a teenager now in my 50s I have one poster left.
But you have all the memories!
Do they live in a place thats stuck to 80's or how do they keep that 80's feel in the 2010's? Awesome!
I’m so happy they evolved way beyond this.
Fortunate ENUF to see the guys on their first tour, and 3 other times. Unbelievable. When I listen to License to Ill it's like one long song.
This was filmed in my hometown.
Long Beach, NY. Where rick went to high school. Ya momma prob in there somewhere too!!
This song should have been on the Licensed To Ill L.P. I can't imagine this song being left off the album.
I never understood why they didn't add this to Licesened to ILL
@alrhames1664 Me either. It should have been featured after Brass Monkey and before Time To Get Ill.
Best. Band. Ever.
Beatie Boys are oldschool, man.
Beastie Boys forever, R.I.P. MCA
The Cheap Trick Riff made this tune. Love the beastie’s
80's dancing at its finest 0:28 lol
The Beastie Boys' first big hit.
