Praise God ! All day I’ve been on my knees crying because I feel he’s been telling me to end things with this man who I know deep down isn’t right for me. I wasn’t sure , and I kept feeling like he’s going to close the door , If I don’t . And I ve been so scared. But now I know , he heard my prayers and this is my confirmation. God closed the acting door in my life. I was doing pretty good in show business but, it became obvious that He didn't want me in that world because, I started to turn down parts I would have done in the past. The last thing was 'Flash.' Today I still would not do this part a lot of blasphemy, that's not for me, today it's still not for me !!! God bless you and your family. Amen.

I understand and respect what you are saying BUT you are outlining the easy path in life (the path of least resistance), the "leaf floating on a breeze style of faith" approach meaning every direction that leaf takes due to the slightest change in circumstances, must be Gods will, that the door to blow left is closed but the door to blow right is suddenly open only to find yourself going left 2 seconds later, ALL WHILE, more often than not, just because my ladder broke and I therefore wasnt able to reach the best fruit at the top of the tree, doesnt mean to quit but instead go get a stronger ladder that wont break when you are at the top and get hurt, so perhaps it was Gods will for you to not get hurt, learn a lesson in persistence AND have the best fruit! My ex-wife, after 6 years of marriage, became a leaf in the breeze and for 13 years I had hoped she would come back down to earth and be the woman I originally married - she finally filed for the divorce because I'm sure in her mind and her warped friends minds, that it was Gods will to do so, and so she broke up the family and screwed up my kids all because of her leaf on the breeze faith. God doesnt like quitters, just my 2 cents.

I don't believe that we as Christians must take "no" for an answer if our vision is different 😊 I know of one lady in the company I once worked at she applied thirteen times in a row for the same position until she finally got the job 😂
When my Pastor wanted to get our former church building all the officials told him how it was impossible he just shook all of their hands told them "God bless you you're gonna figure it out " and after a week or so we got the answer that we got the church building 😊 just telling these testimonies to encourage You

For many years, I have travelled an hour+ in order to spend time volunteering b/t two different ministries that are physically near each other. Well, ever since early fall (of this year), anytime I have tried volunteering, I have either been getting physically sick, there's been an extreme weather event, the other volunteers and/or the clients have been dramatic, and the management at each ministry has given me an attitude for one reason or another (and never did in the past.) I used to donate a full weekend once a month b/t the two ministries, but it's barely happened since mid-October. Clearly, it's time to move on!

I'm new to your channel. I heard one other video, and thought that was good. But I'm not so sure about this one. After having taken care of my mother who had severe dementia, I choose to sell the house that we both lived in. So many painful memories. I would have never, ever have healed mentally if I did not get out of that place. It took a year to sell. So many things jumped up to prevent what I was trying to get done. I could have said, well it's not the Lord's will. Bologna! I have to ask myself what fruit is my life bearing staying in this place which was at that time behind in taxes. Besides the horrible memories, I could not afford to live there alone. If I did not persist in my faith, I would not be where I'm at now! it seemed to me that it needed to take long to sell that house- so that the ideal one for me would be on the market and I would get it at a good price; all cash after the sale of the one that me and my mom shared! Now I am mentally and emotionally well and healed and in joy and in peace in the house I now have! It took a year to sell that other one, I'm so glad I did not give up. You have to ask yourself what is the situation or person- what kind of fruit is it bearing in your life. Just because the word no keeps coming up does not mean that God is telling you the no word! I also believe in being led by the Holy Spirit and being baptized in the holy spirit with the gifts in operation. Maybe that is what is making a difference between someone who thinks the word no is automatically of God and someone who possess a knowing, and a leading inside of themselves that God must have better for me no matter how the situation is looking!

True BUT, people need to remember that "no" today might not mean "no" 5 years down the road. God didnt want me to go to college but it's been 4 years and hes calling me to go now

So how do you make the difference between: it's difficult but God wants me to get it, I should persist and it's a no from God... Because numerous times, Israel went to war and lost, and God kept saying go back and fight. They went back and eventually won but not after loosing multiple times and suffering... I feel I still don't have an answer to my question... In my case there is a possibility, it's difficult and unlikely tho, and I'm seeing no clear better path. Still confused 😕...

I disagree. Whatever happened to free will. God gave us free will, but slams doors on our choices when the choices we make benefit ourselves and our family. Good message, but no thank you on God leading us through life.

AlbShadoW I know how that is. All my life that rain cloud seemed to follow me. I watched everyone else seem to make it up while I didn't. But now I'm close to 60, and God really did have a plan all along. For the first time in my life I'm actually doing good and very content. Sometimes the tortoise does win in the end, so don't give up.

Job traveling expense today wiped all my cash. They had me on two more trips this week, but it's impossible now.
I'm currently struggling to exist at work because my projects are usually not finished in time.
While I was on the job today, I got a phone call about another job that pays more for skills I actually enjoy using.

Be on guard for anyone who tries to tell you that what your going through is because of a lack of faith, or the devil, etc. Jesus said plainly that hardships come to ALL and are not always due to sin or unbelief. Physical and mental suffering and illness are part of our physical world. You are not abandoned. Keep talking to our Lord Jesus Christ and He will hear and answer you. Don't give up. I struggled and suffered with severe health problems for years, and went through all kinds of people telling me things that hurt my spirit. Truly, if there is a reason that has to do with your faith, or punishment for past sin, only God can inform you and help you through, so pray for enlightenment and ask what He wants from you. No person has the right to assume that. I, myself, did need to do some repenting, and learning. Now I am doing great and know that He was getting everything in place for me. I have a plague I found in a resale shop hanging on my hall wall that means a lot to me:

This is for the message of God closing doors. 1.) When you go for something and you don't get it. It's not in plans for you. There is something else that God has for you. He will guide you to the right door and it would open. 2.) When God doesn't allow for you to open that door. He is delivering you from something that it's not going to do you any good. If God himself don't even want to allow you to open that door and he'll be with you. It's because that's not what he wants to do with you. 3.) When God closes all your doors that you are use to going through. He's opening doors for better things he has for you. It's always good not to have any IF in our live. God closed the door with my ex. It took me a long time to give it up. I will always love him and I pray for him spiritually. That is never wrong. It was sad but I know God knows best.
I know he's closing the door in my life because he took me out of a relationship that was truly not meant for me. I have moved on and it's been hard because I love this person but he's not right for me. God has that perfect right person for me.
When you said you get a clear “NO” amen he’s so right this happened to me with my job I kept getting rejected so quick and back to back and then I asked the lord what do you want me to do ? And God said “wait “ I asked again the next day and he said “wait” I asked him again the 3rd day and he said “listen” like I want you to listen to what I’m saying ... so I said ok Lord I won’t do anything ima wait and sure enough as soon as I obeyed him the next day the job I work at right now called me for an interview ... I knew THEN that that’s why the lord wanted me to wait and I had so much peace about it 🙏🏾 I love my job and it’s exactly what I wanted I give the glory to God !!

Thanks for the message. I went through a breakup more than month ago and was conflicted and confused about it that it is taxing me mentally and spiritually. But I see this as God is closing that door for me and pray that hopefully, someday, He will open another door for me in His time.
Amen, we have to walk by many closed doors first before we often see the door God does want us to go through.
I'm divorced with 5 children in my care no child support...living with my mother...can't find a house for me and my children because every single door has been slammed in my face...And my mother is starting to lose faith...NOT ME THANK YOU JESUS! I just hope my mother sees it the way of the lord..its hard as humans but what a blessing when you do!

That's what Joseph went through, and Job! Joseph was charged with rape, a crime he didn't commit because he didn't want to sleep with Pharoah's wife, and Joseph spent years in jail until his gift of prophecy liberated him because Pharaoh needed a dream interpreter, and what Joseph interpreted ended up happening in history. Joseph was incarcerated for a long time, and Job suffered equally, but Scripture does say that God blessed Job with 2x as much than he had at the beginning. (Job 42:12) And Isaiah 61:7 says that you WILL receive double for your suffering, and you'll receive joy. Take a look at it yourself. :)
"For thou, Lord , wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield." Psalms 5:12 KJV
"But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him." Psalms 4:3 KJV

"I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech." Psalms 17:6 KJV

This is not necessarily true. What is being taught here to to be led of circumstances to determine the voice of God. However, God speaks to His people.
To make sure you are hearing from God you base it on these four things:
1. Is it scriptural?: can it be seen and substantiated by scripture (precedents)
2. Who has spoken this word?: are they a reliable source (someone who's been seasoned in the faith whom others tout and can vouch for), and do they produce fruit in their lives (Jesus said, " a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit", but a tree is judged by its fruit)
3. Has the word been confirmed by numerous other reliable sources (for the major decisions in life)? These are people without an agenda, who should also know you well enough to discern things in your life accurately (such as your pastor, elders, deacons, proven Christians bearing good fruit, etc.)
4. Do you have a desire for it? If you've been gifted in specific ways to the creative arts, such as writing songs and are a gifted singer and musician, and someone prophecies over you that you are to be an accountant for the rest of your life (and you have no desire at all, and your spirit doesn't resonate with that) then you should really question that word, bring it before the LORD as well as your church leadership to help gain wisdom and clear affirmation either way. In Proverbs it says, "In the company of many counselors there is safety".
God has closed the doors between me and my relatives. God has something he wants me to do for his glory without having toxic distractions in the way. All relatives and my grown children be gone. I've done all I could do and much more for them, and now God is opening the door for me to do his Will. My prayers are being answered. It was confusing at first until it became clear through Holy Spirit. It's been a long time coming but I knew a change was gonna come. Praise God.

I don't socialize with them cause they haven't changed their ways to honor God, but they do see God working in my life now. God is using me to magnify his honor and glory. It wasn't easy but I did obey God and I can rest better. Now, how they acknowledge God is their business not mine. Thanks again. Love you!
Patricia King I get it some times you just need to disconnect from everyone to detox your spirit .I do that a lot because drama bad energy hatefulness in ppl it gets me physically sick because I take all that crap into my spirit and its not good but yeah sometimes you have to DETOX your spirit to heal yourself

Love your videos but chip Ingram, once did a series on how "good" open doors are not necessarily God's will but a test of distraction from the enemy (ie: a job opportunity opened up in a distant town for a growing Christian family that had come to his church, but after a short while there the family's spiritual health declined and the dad ended up losing his job and everything fell apart). I also believe it's good advice for a newly single person to,focus on the lord for up to 6 months after a breakup (especially if there's sin) so they can grow in contentment in Christ, be healthy for a future partner, and ensure they don't have codependency issues where they simply need someone because they have no idea what satisfaction in Christ is. Just food for thought :) Be blessed!

This topic really resonates with me right now. I am working part time and I had a chance at a full time offer. I didn't feel God was leading me to this offer so I declined. I wondered if I made the right choice. However, I prayed about careful discernment and eventually God opened up another door for another potential offer. Sometimes we second guess ourselves, but we can always trust that God has the best for us!

Sure. To go a step further. Say you have two potential offers. How do you know which one to choose. I feel like God could be leading me to them equally but I have to choose one. Or do I? It's kind of confusing but I try to see the skills/desire God has given me and steer towards that but it's still hard. I will continue to pray about it.

Thank you. This helped me realize that when doors close in my life, I don't need to fight them closing anymore. I feel like this relates to friendships as well, that friendship doors can close when they are no longer helping you grow as a person. And, when they leave your life (or you leave theirs) it makes room for new friends to come in.
Keep all negative and toxic people out of your life and you can rest better. It's time for people to put God first and then self. No one else matters at all. Amen!

I wish I watched this a couple of years ago. I was trying to get into a university and study certain career and God was clearly telling me NO, but I was forcing it. I did'nt understand what was happening, since it was a 'good thing'. After a year and a half trying to force things, I ended up exhausted, with frustration, pain, and discouraged. God speaks through circumstances, sometimes we need to stop and see what is happening around us.

no human power has the knowledge of another person, only God is the judge and only ( son of God) knows. read the word of God, while it's still here and know him and his plan.
4 months ago my girlfriend of 10 years dumped me and left me for a younger guy. She had been lying to me through her teeth and I kind of knew it. It still hurts and I still need to make the break. I have been friends with other girls but haven't got into a "sinful" relationship. However my ex girlfriend has been living with her new boyfriend for about 3 months if not more. Sure, I am still alive and understand that this "unhealthy" relationship.....oh look. I want to believe but sometimes I want justice to prevail. I dedicated the last 10 years to being a good partner. It seems to me that the ones who do the worst damage get away with it and prosper. The ones that hurt have to deal with the heartbreak and humiliation, the child support payments (that the new guy gets to enjoy as well) whilst the "good" guy finishes last. So I look for videos that shout JUSTICE and I want and need swift justice for the wrongdoers. The ones that set out to HURT another person's feelings and it all seems to look rosey for them.

Then she ends up married to the guy and mothering the children as her own. It's a good line though and so true.

God loves DAVID because DAVID loved god, god loved DAVID because David Praised god, He lived with god, yes it was hard, but through every fight and through every battle it was easy enough to say how much god loved DAVID enough to help him on his journey but David took a census on god, yes god didn’t like some of the things DAVID did. But god didn’t forsake him.
I prayed for over 40 years, only praying for release from my mental abuse that happened when I was a child. I dumped God because he dumped me. The miracle part as soon as i stopped the god garbage i made huge improvements on myself.
I was engaged a couple times and something would happen and it would be over. I'm 53 and really want to be married

I am not completely sure about that one... My father applied 3 times during the course of 3 years before he got accepted into the Arts Academy of his choice. He had a great life and very successful career after due to his (right) choice. That was clearly God’s plan for him!
Just because God doesn’t let you in through the door *now* it doesn’t mean He has _closed_ the door on you. It simply means it isn’t the right *time* . We humans are pretty impatient by nature. Learning to follow God’s timing is the key! _Wait on the Lord_ ...
And don’t even try to apply that “rule” on women LoL! Don’t make me laugh! No woman will want to get with a man who doesn’t show dedication or persistence and consistency. You are in it together for a whole life after all.

If you have a desire to be married you should continue to pray for a Godly spouse. Just because God hasn't given you a spouse yet it doesn't mean that He doesn't want you to have one. Remember, He has His own timing and everything that He does is perfect. Keep praying and be patient. Be obedient and watch what happens. But don't give up. You have that desire for a reason. Keep praying about it ❤ And if age is your concern, remember that it ain't nothing but a number😉. God bless you.

I went mgtow monk a few years ago, but I ran into this girl I went to school with who didn't treat em like human waste. I asked her for her # and she gave it to me, input it in my front pocket of my flannel, drove home, took my phone out of the same pocket with the window down, for getting the #, and out the window it went. I've been running after being an artist as a career for several years now. I tried to go to several schools, but none of them are ever within my reach financially, I even scarified a scholarship at the school I graduated from (which could have potentially kept me out personal student loan debt) to pursue these other schools. I have a degree now in multimedia design and development (not going to well for me either). I'm practicing on my own, but I'm not making much progress, I seem to just be making the same mistakes I always have. But to be honest, not sure if this is a closed door on my dreams of being a professional artist or if I'm just scared and/or lazy so I'm just trying to find a way out.
Where is the scriptural support for this? I can't seem find any applicable verse in my Bible linked to topic context.

I let a relationship go and now years later I feel God putting her on my heart. I ask the Lord to remover her from my heart and I have seasons where she is heavy on my heart. What to do? I try not to reach out and let it go but could this be something the Lord is doing? I am in a relationship with someone new and feel bad my ex is on my heart somedays. Need prayer for clarity.

It's funny how "faithful" we can be when we're pursuing something that we want as opposed to pursuing something that God wants but we don't want how He wants to give/fulfill it.
In 2011, I saw a documentary about a woman (former teacher, wife of a mayor) who was in "education reform". I have always had a passion for "education" and "reform". I felt that "education reform" was my 🎯 area and was impressed with her work, so I looked her up and applied to her new organization. Well, she followed me on social media...but they sent me a rejection letter. I prayed about it and responded graciously, then they suddenly reopened the door by scheduling an interview! The interview was more than 100 miles away and the job required a relocation and heavy travel, so I definitely drove there fueled by faith and passion...and got the job! They offered me a higher salary and more perks than I even hoped for. Shortly after starting, though, I found out why God originally closed the door and literally warned me against working there through one of my references who said that she's worked with that person and her former husband (!) before and they are frauds. She told me, "If you actually care about educating students, then you won't last a month!" I lasted one week. 😂
But I thought that's where God wanted me because He gave me a desire for "education reform". It took a literal gunshot to change my mind. Never mind God arranging for a stranger on the board of churches, organizations, etc. to be in the parking lot of a conference where I was "stalking" this woman to prepare for my interview straight telling me about my gifts, calls, and God's Kingdom...and offering me a job to help him win a mayoral campaign by doing what I loved at the time! After only hearing me speak once at the conference. I "could not understand" him at all because my mind and heart were set on this specific path to my goal. I was even suspicious of his excitement to work with me...
Fast forward 2 years: I was a delegate at a political convention...where her organization was specifically and publicly rebuked by the state's teachers lobby group...for fraud. #confirmation
Fast forward 2 more years: I finally agreed with God to be a Sunday school teacher in CHURCH ⛪ and "reform" how they teach children about Jesus Christ (and "reform" how women perform their jobs as wives, mothers, etc.), not be an advocate for "education reform" in the public sector.
God gives us our heart's desires after we can put aside our own assumptions and definitions about how to fulfill them our way! 😉

Everything happens for a reason. What it does is it teaches us lessons in life.
When i open God's door i move forward and it works, when i THINK it's God's door and it won't open and i use a crowbar to pry it open, i learn it wasn't his and it's best to leave it shut and walk away. I need to remember to read the scriptures first to let God's wisdom tell me which door to open and which one not to. Great video, thanks !

This video is well timed no doubt, thanks for posting it Mark. I still have two issues- and I now realize perhaps there really is some "stubbornness" on my part:
1) I'm still kind of not sure how to distinguish a "clear NO", from a "test of faith" or a test of "how badly do you want it?" The stereotypical "self-help" world doesn't help much either....
2) If God really is closing a door (or possibly multiple doors) in my life, my question is Why would He "allow" me to develop such a level of "want" or "desire" or "daydreaming" for this thing/job/person, etc.? Why "allow" me to want it so much just to "take it away".....?
Take a leap of faith!

Everything is predestined. The past, present, and future has already been written by God. In my opinion, God wants what’s best for his children and will close some doors and open others because he knows this will make them most happy and functional in the long run. I just got done reading National Geographic and about all the search for sacred scrolls. Sometimes I wonder if there was anything overlooked when they wrote the Bible.
if everything is predestined then we should all just eat "cake" all day from birth to death. i mean it's predestined so eating only "cake" shouldn't matter. and we should spend every dime we make, cause it's predestined and what will happen will happen regardless, so why save?!

Mark, What if you have served in a church, but you don't really attend/want to attend that church anymore, but the door is still open for you to serve there, should you?

I would say you should focus on if God wants you to go to that church first. If yes then consider the ministry opportunity. If no, then I would not serve at that church. I would look for a home church to serve at. In other words, I wouldn't go that church just for the service opportunity. That can be one factor but there are many more to consider. This is really eye opening... I broke with my ex almost 3 years ago and every time I’d be single again I’d want to go back to her. We tried again in the summer and it just was filled with the same sin we had before when we dated. We both love God but couldn’t control one another around each other. So I cut it off, and I tried again 2 months later and she doesn’t trust me now and I thought I messed up so bad... but God was just closing that door from heartbreak and sin. Now I’m on the horizon in college just got following God!
