Chinese astronaut makes nation's first spacewalk

  • BEIJING (AP) - A Chinese astronaut on Saturday performed the nation's first-ever spacewalk, the latest milestone in an ambitious program that is increasingly rivaling the United States and Russia in its rapid expansion.
Mission commander Zhai Zhigang floated out of the orbiter module's hatch in the spacewalk, shown live on state broadcaster CCTV. Tethered to handles attached to the Shenzhou 7 ship's orbital module's exterior, Zhai remained outside for about 13 minutes before climbing back inside and closing the hatch behind him.
"Shenzhou 7 has left the module, physically feel very good. Greetings to all the people of the nation and all the people of the world," Zhai said.
Fellow astronaut Liu Boming also emerged briefly from the capsule to hand Zhai a Chinese flag that he waved for an exterior camera filming the event. The third crew member, Jing Haipeng, monitored the ship from inside the re-entry module.
The successful spacewalk paves the way for assembling a space station from two Shenzhou orbital modules, the next major goal of China's manned spaceflight program. China is also pursuing lunar exploration and may attempt to land a man on the moon in the next decade.
China launched its first manned mission, Shenzhou 5, in 2003, followed by a two-man mission in 2005.
Since blasting off from their northwestern China launch base on Friday, the astronauts had been largely occupied with preparing the suits and adapting to zero gravity. Meals aboard the craft have followed a typical Chinese menu, featuring versions of kung pao chicken, shrimp and dried fruit, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
On Friday, the three-module capsule shifted from an oval orbit to a more stable circular orbit 213 miles (343 kilometers) above Earth, meaning it is circling at a constant distance.
The change ensured that Earth's gravitational pull would not vary during the spacewalk attempt and will help Shenzhou make a precise landing on the Inner Mongolian Steppe on Sunday after its re-entry vehicle bursts through Earth's atmosphere, Xinhua said.

Whether that's bad or good isn't even of consideration here. They're doing things... other countries are degrading. China is succeeding and is the most successful country on the face of Earth, and if trends continue, it will literally be by all measurements the world's absolutely greatest nation.

China is all about face. They couldn't care less about their own achievements. They only care about how the rest of the world thinks about them.
If the CCP thinks that they can fool the rest of the world then they would. We are talking about the government that used a scene from top gun and claimed that it was video recordings of one of their military flight exercises.
Why would China reinvent the wheel? People have already been to space and tested more than they could think of. If they want some information then they would buy it or steal it. Well assuming that the information isn't free on the internet to begin with.

This is, whether fake or not, a remarkable video. Much of the movement, as of the small flag, e.g., and the hoses, seemed consistent with semi-riged material in a vacuum, but then, every now and then, bubbles seemed to zoom past at about thirty degrees left of the vertical. The movements of the men seemed at times confused or ineffectual, also, raising more doubts about their training. It would be wonderful if China did have this technology, but I remain skeptical.

5:29 Does someone want to explain why those red wire attachments seem to "bounce" back upwards whenever he is manipulating them into place? Because in space everything should just float where it is when you set it into a position so these seem to defy that. (before someone says it, I'm asking this as a person who knows space is real... But just because you know something is real, doesn't mean you have to immediately believe everything claimed about said thing if the evidence points to some weirdness) The only thing I can think of to explain this is that those wires have some sort of spring system inside them which causes the bouncing motion.

Where is the aura from earths atmosphere? There should be a blue aura like effect near the edge of the earth when looking at it from this height: www.google.se/search?hl=sv&biw=1920&bih=1067&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=EqtJW4uSD8yUsAHv4IL4Cg&q=earth+from+iss&oq=earth+from+iss&gs_l=img.3..0j0i30k1l6j0i5i30k1l3.111773.119592.0.119731.13.8.2.3.3.0.92.499.8.8.0....0...1c.1.64.img..0.12.482...0i67k1j0i8i30k1j0i19k1j0i8i30i19k1.0.09CB0I2062o#imgrc=CE6mp8dDLx9HtM:
The obvious reason is that they hade to filter out blue colors to make the water look black. They obviously did so after they photoshoped in the image of the earth.
If you slow down the video to half speed and looks at the "astronaut" to the right at 7:53. Then you can see a bubble accelerating along his visor. That is not how debris behave in space.
Why is there a reverb when the astronauts speak? It would make sense if this was recorded in water basin. Where there is water to transfer sound and where there is walls to reflect it back. It sound similarly to how it sounds when NASA does space walk tests under water. The same reverb like artifact exists there. But I can't find any NASA space walk video where the reverb exists.
Why is there suppose to be debris to start with? No person working with this would send up people in a capsule filled with debris to begin with.

"Wow, look at all those stars. You'd think they were actually in space eh? "
It's easy enough to test your stars hypothesis. take a camera, a piece of white paper with something written on it , and a bright light. Go out on a clear night when the stars are clearly visible, shine the bright light on the paper and take a picture showing both the writing on the paper and the stars. That'll prove it.

Just look at flag's movements from 06:50 for about a minute on. It is anything but water, flag would move much slower and smoother in water whereas here its shaking and trembling after smallest hand shift.
As for the "bubbles" coming out - on 01:55 you can clearly see some non-round detail (probably metal) slowly flying UP and rotating. I would say if it was a pool of water, air bubbles and debris would not fly same direction... At least not on Earth.
So my view is that NASA set out to discredit China's space program. Because "stupid chineese" cannot have real achievements and successes, right?...

For your next point, if you look at spacewalks from the Shuttle and Space Station, you'll see that the astronauts spend a lot of the time holding on, usually only lettings go completely when they have to (such as to operate tools once they're securely harnessed). As ordinary civilians we can never be sure. We can never be sure if NASA's missions were legitimate or not. The fact that there is no accusation from NASA or ESA for this to be fake, we can trust that it is real, because milestone missions like these will not go unverified by other nations. As I said before, it is just the different cameras the Chinese use that cause visual misrepresentations.
