I had one for a couple of years in the early 90's. A 1.6 Capri Calypso and to be fair it was a really nice drive. Brakes were 💩 and it literally ate clutch cables but a lovely drivers car as most 80's Ford's were in those days. Had a V6 Mk4 Cortina Ghia and a Fiesta and all were lovely drivers.
I've had 53 of these amazing cars. Not one let me down. Even the ones I broke for spares. Totally unique, great looking, amazing to drive, idiot proof really. As a race car they won time after time!
I had seven 3.0 litres and a 2.8 injection, never had a problem with the back end. Can't say the same for my Triumph Stag which needed to be driven with a very light foot in the wet.
I had ten 3.0 s capris that never broke down and five 2.8 that never broke down they are fantastic cars.

Rolled out of Dagenham. Precious chance of them driving out.
Lovely Lovely car
Best of British
I mean honestly who isnt thinking Bodie's Capri in The Professionals?
Nice job but a 3 litre is so much better.
I don't understand the obsession with these. My step dad had one when I was a little kid. That piece of garbage broke down at least twice a year.
Nostalgia!
A majority of classic vehicles were crap compared to modern ones but looking back through rose-tinted glasses the faults are invisible.

Had over 50 of these and they were idiot proof cars, very easy to drive, very predictable, and amazing g to drive. I've never had an issue
