Y'all should drill a hole and put some type of air fitting on that fuel can so y'all can pressure it up a little to help with pressure to prime the fuel system not much maybe 2 to 3 psi to help push all the air out the system and prime it faster than gravity........... it might be a new thing the ppl that own the can patent didnt think of but ive never seen one with a air fitting yet

Nearly all those old diesel engines have glow plugs. They will be hard to start or even impossible to start without working glow plugs !!! Most of the time you turn the key or start switch to the left and hold it to heat the glow plugs. Make sure they are working at least two or three of them. Next bleed the fuel lines at the injectors !!!!! Bleeding lines at the pump helps but it can take a long time to get the fuel up to the injectors from the pump. Bleed the lines at the injectors to save hours of cranking time !!!!!

I grew up fishing on that property... I am sure My Father helped build those ponds back in the late 60's... I NEVER knew it was Down there!... The Father in Law was one of My Father's Best friends... they worked together until the Man Passed... I am sure My father drove that to help them build those lower two ponds... the upper pond was built when State built the Circle.

My old Dad’s first crawler was a HD-6 , been many years since I’ve seen one . We cleared fourty aces of land with it , logged it and stumped and burned it . Made pasture land for our cattle . Every morning in the winter I plowed 3/4 of mile of driveway , up hill to the hyway . Using a low powered machine made you work strategically , turned me into a good cat operator . Later we got some larger cats , my experience with the smaller machine gave me the ability to run them well . 👍🇨🇦

I remember the first time I ran a dozer and when your off loading one, square up with the ramps and stay off the steering brakes unless you use them both at the same time and let her roll. And a single chain is never as strong as a doubled up one and then old boys should have known that a LONG time ago

I retired from a Cat dealership in FL. I used ether for years. When I started for Cat, they didn't sell it or use it. They did allow gasoline. You put a rag over the intake. Squirt a tiny bit of gas. It will " pop" & jar those stuck rings loose
You have everything there but compression it looks like . Gas is not as destructive., but just like ether you got to be careful.

Hi John, I`m a Brit and love my Landrover turbo diesels here, they are more common than Gas engine ones, but some years ago when fuel got expensive my old diesel ran very well on half diesel, half new bulk buy cooking oil (ECO DIESEL NOW) and a good splash of unleaded gas (petrol) it ran better than straight diesel, sounded quieter but smelled of French fries behind me -LOL.. So your give it some gas in my case was good.

I thought "This privacy invasion is gettin' out of hand. I'm gonna write my congressman and the NRA about this crap". But I needed the rounds so I did like she said and dropped my pants and drawers and she screamed and ran off somewhere. In a few minutes the manager came up to me and explained that she was telling me how to use my card in the reader. He also told me "Please don't shop here any more". 😎

fuel pump, etc doesnt mean anything if your not firing off all that starting fluid wally put in it. you guys have a compression issue. maybe rings or could be a compression release that is stuck open. Def. compression, you can hear it in the way it cranks. there is hardly a gallop to it like a normal engine would have when they come up on compression stroke.
