China does not have the glut of orphans they once had. They can afford to be more picky. I'm glad they are. There are now studies on adopted children and the long term trauma of adoption. Even a good adoption leaves trauma. The Chinese are right to protect these kids.

Unfortunately I think its true! China would rather leave thousands of babies in orphanages going off their heads rather than bein adopted by a good decent woman snle to provide a solid beautiful life for a baby.
Yes, I would say some were disgustingly obese and trashy. Many of the new parents were scary looking though not deformed. Maybe ugly does not count as deformed. The Chinese should rule facial hair on men had to be neatly trimmed and styled and approved. The parents did not seem to care how they dressed or acted and I am sure they terrified those babies worse than they were already. The clothing showed lack of respect for the Chinese people. One huge woman wore a mumu type thing with shoulder ties that should not have been seen outside her own bedroom. These parents typified the sobriquet "The Ugly American." I have followed up on some of the new parents because they post new videos. It seemed to me that many were mistreating the kids in the aim of creating videos to post. Ok, that is my rant. Besides, there is not the glut of healthy orphans available as there were before the one child policy was relaxed.

Besides, the Chinese have gotten very strict on qualifications, so they agree with me. I also don't care for the pushing of a certain religion on those helpless adopted kids. That same religion has almost destroyed the USA in recent years.
