One of your finest vids Sir, a bit of history there with the Blue HST set so far from it’s usual haunts, what an opening with the black 5! I managed to catch the RTC and Pullmans here on their way through to you. Thanks for upload, enjoyed the variety 👍👍👍
Got to say brilliant video. Shame i couldnt get down becouse of this cold i have. Hopefully nextyear maybe it may come to wick lol 😆 not getting hopes up lol 😆
Outstanding. One of the most diverse and beautifully shot rail videos I’ve seen. But a question - that 37 on ‘rail head preparation’ duty? What does that mean? Thanks.
Thanks very much! The 37 was sanding the rails ahead of the hst to ensure it didn't struggle on slippery rails caused by autumn leaves falling onto the track
Phenomenally breath-taking video with a great mix of vintage, old and new! What does the test train actually do? I think I might have asked this before lol!
Can you help me out here? Why is there an HST painted in Pullman colours and is it permanent? Is it just a case of preserving the spirit of the Midland Pullman or something else?
And that's all it is. A HST with blue paint, mainly refreshed TF trailers and microwaved food, all wrongly marketed as "Blue Pullman" for those who don't know any differently. I doubt the interior passenger accommodation actually tick all the Pullman Standards criteria boxes.
Excellent video, the HST's look good in Scottish landscape. It appears one sees a fair amount of people on the train, are things back to normal or i am seeing railfans going for a ride because it's an HST?
Thanks, it looked fairly full but i don't think the passengers looked like enthusiasts, i don't think thats the sort of train most enthusiasts could afford to travel on 🤣
@@peters1127 its a weekend trip from London to Inverness, Inverness to Kyle and back then Inverness back to London. the price will include travel, accommodation, meals on board the train or at the hotel and coach travel from the station to the hotel. Not sure on exact figures but id guess it would be a 4 figure amount
That Midland Pullman looks absolutely stunning. Great vid.
Nice video mate. Nice to see the HST but 37667 was the star for me. Looked and sounded brilliant. Great filming.
Cheers Matt, yeah 667 was immense

Busiest Sunday on the Kyle line for several months!
A great selection 👍
3 37s, a hst and a 158! After almost a year of nothing on Sundays
Fantastic, well done!
Cheers
Very well done to you
Thank you 😎
Awesome catch mate 👍
Cheers mate, good luck with getting it yourself 📸
Shame I couldn't see the HST wish it had come to Wick. Great video
Thanks Rachel
Brilliant!
Thank you ☺️

@@TheJamster2006 Ah! That makes sense! Thanks again.

Cheers, the test train basically checks for track defects in all manner of ways. Any problems it picks up will be reported to be repaired
Fantastic video! Do you use a particular photo editor/are there any particular photo editing softwares that you would recommend? Thanks.
Thanks Stephen. I just use Google photos to edit my photos. Free and easy 🙂
@@TheJamster2006 Many thanks.

You've got the idea yourself. Offering tours with a Pullman service. I'd imagine it will be a permanent thing unless demand drops away

@@TheJamster2006 Thanks, but what is the price to take a ride (Trip) from one end to the other on this line.

@@TheJamster2006 Got it, a very rich railfan with plenty of time on his hands.
