I didn't know about this youtuber. I wish I could tell him how much this video helped me. I'm one of the survivors from this day. And this video helps me understand the timeline better, as such memories are easily fragmented and I was in survivor mode at the time. I know this info was available if I truly wanted to find it. But this video is made in such a way that the information is very digestible.
Obviously this youtuber had it tough too, as I've learned he recently commited suicide. That's so sad. I wish he could know that he has helped me.
And. If for some wierd reason someone is going to give me negative replies (you never know on youtube), just know beforehand that I won't respond because this is a sensitive topic for me and I won't subject myself to the torment. Many of us survivors have gotten death threats just for being on the island that day. I have no idea why. No one knows. But that's why I'm saying this. I won't give such attitude any attention.
Thanks for writing about it, and stay strong! I'd be very careful with self-medication through psilocybin. It is a very unpredictable drug, and can give you horrific and volatile experiences that are frightening to the bone, even without pre-existing trauma. These kind of drugs get a lot of hype due to the small amount of research done on them combined with the heavy psychedelic effect so many seek after. At the end of that tunnel you are yourself still, and they will continue to change their impact on the psyche for each use. I'd rather question the research and analyze the data of the research done on the potential PTSD treating effect. There are religious attitudes as well as idealism, and even business-interests that are ready to hear what they want to hear, and say what they want to hear about these substances, knowing or maybe wishing it is that ticket to a better place ultimately. It can not replace the daily step-by-step road that you walk on your own feet.
I was on psilocybin on a different island that day in 2011, felt very alone, like in the soul, and kept thinking about the horrors of looking down the barrell of that gunman as I put up my tent that day. I stared into the sun for a long while and somehow it didn't sting my eyes or blind me that day, but I found no point, no rest, in the phenomena. I kept mulling over this one thing during the whole weekend: Responsibility - who is responsible in horrors like those shootings for making it a horror if we'd ultimately all be utterly defenseless in such a situation. It can only come down to each of us, and we can keep walking, none of the collectivity has ever hit me really in such questions, and that doesn't make me different, strange or any of that. The drug though is whatever, it takes a back seat to the point of irrelevancy, or worse - a distraction - when you have bigger fish to fry.

But I'm not a commie. I'm a conservative now. I was only 14 that day, and was there to be with friends and just have a good time. Political views change as you get older and learn about the world. But you would rather shoot someone before they get that chance. That tells me you have filthy morals, which no upstanding political party wants as a member
@@Alexander_Tronstad Well, i get what you're saying. But my psychologist recommends psilocybin actually. The research is much stronger now than it was a few years ago.
One should be careful of course. As with all things. But it has healed me a lot, that's for sure. It's done me more good than bad.
I dunno what you mean by taking a back seat though? For me, it has allowed me to connect more with everything from my own memories, to other people.

My comment is more general - there is a lot of hype and elevation of these substances to some nectar of the gods, I just want to say that I feel it is important to not lose sight of the fact that at the end of the day these drugs are tools at best, and not to romanticice them too much.

However, the ban on these substances makes it too difficult for health professionals to recommend/administer them to patients who need them. But the ban is thete because some have misused these substances. I only hope we soon change law such that more research and medical use is allowed. Recreational use is a different beast

I remember when you were responding to people in the live chat before the video started and I got so happy when i asked if you could ever make a video on the Vtech shooting and you responded to me saying that were planning to do that. ......What I meant was when this broke back in the day, the news here hardly covered it and instead spun it into gun control blabber. And there wasn't sufficient available information then. So in my mind I left it to assume it was a bunch of sitting ducks in one spot at a camp similar to the Vegas shooting, and then eventually forgot about it. But it still made me wonder how before I forgot it.

To clear up all the rumours, this is what happened to Mass Attack Media:
His real name is Blake, and on the 2nd of May 2021, he commited su*c*de. I don't know what method he used, but he livestreamed it on Facebook. He was planning on commiting a mass sh**ting in his highschool, and to prevent that from happening, he took his own life.
I 50% feel sorry for him (he was probably mentally ill or something), and 50% feel like he's a f*cking douchebag. Nevertheless, rest in peace.

@@mranonymous3020 For this particular video I used Pivot. As you can see it's a bit fidgety because everything is animated frame-by-frame. In all my other videos I use Sony Vegas.

I belive my teacher said something about this today at time 6:30 she said the shooter walked passed her not noticing her because she was hiding i must admit that must have been terrifing knowing somebody armed is nearby. She said she heard the gunshots a minute after the shooter passed her.

07:30 isnt correct in my opinion. If hes talking about the commonly known helicopterfootage, where you can see A.B. returning from the shores with bodies. The filming footage would be at the other point ("southern tip", sorspissen), close to where he surrendered to police.

What part did he shoot the people hiding on the rocks were someone was shot and had billet fragments in his brain it was shown in the film but I can’t find it in the video because he killed two Simon and Anders on the rocks and injured Villjar
