Its not bad for the first timer to drive in Malaysia. The most important thing is to have Touch n Go card with sufficient amount of money bc all highway now accept only e-money. Hope to see you driving more to another states.
😂 so funny, it happened to me as well at the toll. I reversed and went to the touch and go lane and at first I could not find the card😂🤣 but surprisingly all other drivers behind me were just calm and waited.
you should first buy a touch n go card at a petrol station or at an mrt station to make your journey easier by car..besides Cameron Highland, Genting highland and Fraser's Hill is also an interesting place with cool weather..
@@activityenthusiasts if you like islands I suggest Sabah Malaysia because there are many islands with crystal clear water.. my mom is Malaysian that's why I know a little bit about Malaysia..good luck for your journey👌
In a few years we can pay the toll by credit n debit card too, no need for touch and go (TnG) anymore... But I have a question, didn't the car rental provide you with a TnG card?? I think they should, as not only Malaysians rent a car....
U can see the signboard have that alphabet and numbering before the name of place and road. Example E18 cheras. And at the waze and google maps also there is that alphabet and numbering too. So when the waze says in 500m turn left just look at the E18 and u will see the signboard on the street with the same E18. That is how i navigate my way through malaysia.
We generally pay our toll cashless. You need the Touch 'n Go card which u can purchase and top up at most convenient stores. The yellow Smartag lane is for payment for TnG card slotted into a TnG device. So yeah.. we don't really carry around cash much here
..and another thing, why didn't u use direction app? Or did u? Looked like u just relied on road signs?😂 I would've used the app still, even just to know the traffic condition ahead and manage my expectation
Next time if you already/accidentally go in the Smart Tag lane no need to reverse, coz smart tag using same TouchnGo Card, just that with TouchnGo card in the smart tag no need to tap the detector..sometime my smart tag (others too) cannot be detected (Loa battery/faulty), I just tape the TouchnGo Card...Only RFID cannot use TouchnGo Card
It's usually the Japanese made or Japanese designed cars use the blinkers on the right side of the wheel. Otherwise, continental or American cars use the blinkers on the left. I drive a continental car brand and will have this problem too when I switched to driving my sister's car which is a Japanese made car.
bezza, the new king of the road. big boot, good leg room, very economic, uses up little fuel, zippy around town, tiny enough to park almost anywhere and very reliable. just dont expect it to be a 'sports car'. but if modified, it can be.
Best way to see the country is by car. Stop where ever when ever. And try and get that touch and go card. You'll need it for sure. Some gas stations sell it and watson's pharmacy as well
Couldn’t agree more! I hope we get to experience it again! We spent 3 hours looking for a touch n go card and then gave up. Next time we will be more informed!
The Perodua stalks are on different sides because they’re based on Daihatsu cars. Japanese cars use their own stalk standard known as the JIS standard. If you drive the other Malaysian car, Proton, you’ll have the stalk on the proper side. Also, driving in Malaysia is stressful on the account of the damn motorcyclists. I had driven in LA when I was there on vacation, and it was heaven compared to driving down Kuala Lumpur roads!
Haha it was annoying to press the wrong button but it was also funny every time 😂 Having to be aware of all the motorcyclists definitely adds another layer to the difficulty 😵💫
Hi there. The 'eye brow' or top shade tint on the top of windscreen is to reduce the sun glare due to the nature of weather in malaysia. It makes driving more comfortable and less stress to the eyes. Not everyone would wear sunglasses, especially those wearing spectacles. And the tint is allowed by Road Transport Department. You will appreciate it when its not there. But anyway, you made it yeay! We must celebrate.
I usually drive from Singapore to KL to visit friends and relatives. If you wish to avoid those small towns, use the North South Plus Highway , the cost isn't much. Go to Tapah toll and exit from the toll in order to go Cameron Highlands. Avoid weekends and peak hours where people are driving to work 8am to 9am or going back from work 5pm to 7pm. When you see the car in front of you changed lane in front of the toll, it means the gate has a problem. Bezza Perodua is not Proton. It is Perodua car company. Those dogs belongs to non muslim farmers (oil palm, vegetables) and they are the guards for the plantations. Sadly, when the dog's population grows, some of them become stray dogs. One last advice to drive in KL, you need to be brave to stick your nose out a bit by bit in order to come out of a junction or else drivers would horn you from behind if waited too long in a queue. KL's driving is adventurous but not as gentle as Singapore's driving. You miss one nice highland about half an hour from Rawang. It is called Fraser's Hill. Up there, there is a golf field and a nice British vibe founded by Mr Fraser. Enjoy. Things to do in Fraser's Hill ruclips.net/video/3gdC4icK1dw/видео.html (From Singapore)
