    I have a few small FunFacts that you may have overlooked. When Thor comes back to earth, Jane isn't played by Natalie Portmann, but by Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataki. She was there during the shoot and whenever it came to the kissing scene, all 3 had to laugh so hard that the director ordered Elsa to grab a wig and play Jane.
    The other fact is the scene where Jane slaps Loki. In fact, Thor can be seen flinching slightly there. Loki's saying that he likes Jane comes from Loki knowing that Thor also got a slap or two in the face.

      @radicalreactions1633 2 года назад +10

      Jane PUNCHES Loki, that wasn't a slap. Tom admitted that she clocked him one and that HE enjoyed it. It comes from the fact that Loki likes strong women, it has zero to do with Thor, in fact Loki's clearly flirting with Jane in the background after getting punched.

    Loki is glorious, and I am... _beyond_ happy that he's got a Disney+ series, with a second season already in the works. Tom Hiddleston as Loki... can be pretty horrible in what he does, but he is just _such_ a wonderful character, and even just the first episode of Loki breaks my heart. No watching it until you make it up through Endgame, though!
    Also, I love the fact that the reason Loki survived in this movie was because the test audiences just... _didn't_ believe that he was actually dead. They'd planned to let Loki go at that point, but everyone who saw it was just like "Yeah, he's playing a game."

    Someone probably already answered your question about the funerals but just in case I'll answer too.
    If a viking died in battle, they would be sent to sea on a boat (or their own boat) and the boat would be filled with goods(if they where higher ranking/more important they would have better goods). The boat would then be set on fire, and a Valkyrie would come and take the dead to Valhalla(Viking heaven for those who died in battle).

    23:00 I laughed so hard. "I have never flip-flopped between if I love or hate a character this much" lmao join the club. I watch this movie purely for the Loki scenes he is so funny but also very emotionally damaged but also a badass who is willing to sacrifice himself for the people he loves. I enjoy a complex morally grey character who's unpredictable and has cool magic powers.
    Btw, he didn't fake his death, he almost died but must have regained consciousness later on and saw an opportunity to avoid being thrown back in jail, so he took it. Isn't it interesting that Loki as Odin offers Thor the throne, and only keeps it when Thor refuses? The reaction when you said Odin's a good dad, but found out it's actually Loki 2 seconds later is so funny. Tbh Loki makes a better dad than Odin. Actually saying he's proud, something Loki has probably never heard from him his whole life. I think Loki is right to take Odin's place after that man called his own son a prisoner and said his birthright was to die. Oh great remind him that his parents didn't want him, as if he didn't already have severe issues and tried to k*ll himself not that long ago. They don't even ask what happened to Loki when he fell through the void for who knows how long. They'd just rather lock him away for 4000 years wtf.

    Oh I'm with you (and with Odin) on the "Thor could do very well with Sif" LOL... For me and many others the relationship between Thor and Jane, specially in the MCU, did not quite work; some cute moments but as a whole they didn't get the amount of love that a ship like Tony x Pepper, for example, got... I've been a big fan of the idea of them exploring the relationship between Thor and Sif in the movies; In the comics Sif is one of Thor's most prominent partners (behind Jane Foster) and I just prefer their dynamic much better; Jaime Alexander is beautiful, she looked very good next to Chris, they have good chemistry in their limited scenes and in interviews for this movie she talked about how an earlier version of the script was going to lean even more into showing Sif feelings for Thor which she has had for a loooooong time.

    This is one of my favorites. I think most people don't like it just because they're not interested in back stories very much. They just want to get to the "good sh*t" action fight stuff that is all the other movies. The story was great, it's just that no one has patience anymore since most movies that had come out over the years have less and less substance. The elves were outstanding, well written character development and more insight into them as brothers. Loki even saved Thor's life. Yes, Loki also got stabbed for real and used the opportunity to escape. MCU had planned on Loki dying. It was a legit emotional scene for them. Then at first showing people were saying how "there's no way Loki's dead. He got out." REFUSING to believe that was real. That's when they decided to write and shoot the ending of him showing up in Asgard etc. This info I got from watching a live interview with Tom Hiddleston.❤

    And yes Frigg or Frigga here is a badass and also they have given her some atributes of another goddess Freya (mainly her magic and warrior nature).
    In the mythology Thor was also married to Sif, the goddess of harvest and fertility. Here they made Sif "only" a Valkyrie but they still referenced to the mythology by saying she would be a good match for him.

Jane doesn't even LIKE him but because he admires her he INSTANTLY sacrifices himself, no question, because secretly he WANTS her to like him, he wants anyone to like him. Despite his sarcastic and uncaring attitude to everyone, he is desperate to be loved, to have someone to save.

      Yes. There was still plenty of good stuff in this movie. The main problem (IMO) is that the villain is too generically evil. He just wants to bring the Darkness back to the universe. Why? No particular reason. What would it benefit him? He's just evil because the script says so.

      @Latest Obsession Answering for your two posts: My joke was on his tastes, not any slight on mental health (believe me, that's an issue I don't take lightly. At all).
      About, the Eternals, it was a good movie. Not the best, but good. I also think it laid up the foundations of future movies with these characters that should be very good, now that the characters and the mythology are established. That movie suffered from an excess of information (characters, backstories etc.) in too little time. Now that it's out of the way, they can start focusing on the juicy stuff.
      Maybe if they'd introduced some Eternals in another movie - Guardians, maybe, that movie could've been a smoother ride.

    I think that the dark elves' champion or whoever the guy was busting them all out of prison - did NOT break Loki out because they recognized him as a part of the royal family, and knew that his loyalties would be divided. They couldn't count on his help when it came right down to the heat of battle. MAYBE he'd fight with the dark elves against Asgard, for imprisoning him and all - or maybe he'd find himself defending his home and family. He was a bit too much of a wild card, so he was left right where he was.
