Seeing Joey's picture always bring back great memories. He and Paul were among my best mates in Hollywood in the early 2000s. He was exactly 9 years younger than I and we celebrated our birthdays in April's of 2004 and 05. God bless him.
Ola, you should definitely revisit the Kemper world! You're right, the hardware is almost entirely the same as original. However, they've constantly updated the OS and added a ton of new features so that original Kemper owners didn't constantly have to purchase new hardware. The latest update allows you to record direct from the Kemper, there's an editor for your computer, the morph feature, lots more effects and boosts, etc. I'm still waiting for them to make VST that allows me to upload my profiles for easier studio use though. You mostly just see people using Kemper's live nowadays, probably for that reason (amongst others).
THIS. Kemper is one of the best, least morally bankrupt, least money grubbing companies in the guitar world. Even though it cost me 1800, I’d argue that my Kemper has been *a bargain* for how much value it has given me over these years..since they’re STILL adding features to it instead of EOL like ANY other company would do. I'm going to be buying a Player just to reward their integrity as a company. Neural DSP, on the other hand represents everything wrong with this world: the typical morally bankrupt venture capitalist style of lying to your customers by promising features that will never come. Be better, Ola. You claim to be unbiased but you can’t even reward companies that show integrity and shout it loudly when companies over-promise and under-deliver like Neural DSP did with their Quad Cortex and the lies they told about making the plugins available on it. I’m guessing you don’t want to upset the gear tribalists and Neural DSP themselves by talking about that…but to me, it’s a notable omission. I’m guessing you don’t want to upset the company that might someday make you a signature plugin so you stay silent about how terrible Neural DSP is.

I am a big fan of Nevermore and as a guitarist myself crazy Jeff Loomis fan. I always say that it is not just his shredding skills but his compositions and his clarity that impresses me as he combines skills with good metal riffing and very emotional solos. I do not really like Arch Enemy, i respect the band and i was very open to see how Jeff will affect their sound but since he was not involved in the writing process his splitting with AE is nothing but great news. So you proposed a few names for his next band. Why not Ola Englund as a guitarist in this band as well? And a Jeff Loomis Solar signature sounds nice as well. I ll be waiting for a couple of Sundays to hear more news.... 😛
I was so excited when Jeff joined Arch Enemy... and it just never became what I hoped for. Some of that Nevermore sound would have added so much, and instead he was just a guy writing a couple solos.
Not to sound mean, but THANK FUCK Jeff is not in Arch Enemy anymore. Lots of people said it in the comments already, but he REALLY WAS held back by this band. I hope it at least was a good time and a good pay for him, and who knows, maybe in the long run it means more people became aware of him and his greatness. But to now know that he's "free" to do whatever he wants and that we might see some serious shit coming from him is absolutely superb news!!

What a nice video! Endseeker is one of my absolute favorites of all time. I got their logo tattooed on my back and these guys are one of my main influences for my bands music. They’re also incredibly nice guys and I love them really. Ben also recommended me the Laney Ironheart pedal amp and it’s now my main amp. So nothing but love for these guys!❤
Cold brew coffee can have more caffeine than hot brew coffee. Also it is less acidic (easier on sensitive stomachs and people with acid reflux) and stains your teeth less. Since it is less acidic it tends to be “sweeter.” Yes it has to be taken cold. To my taste only a few cold brew coffees are better tasting than hot brew ones. Starbucks for one.

The Kemper pedal is pretty genius on their part. I own a Helix Floor and FM9, and have played the QC quite a bit. Although I avoided the Kemper, because it looked tough to use and I didn’t have enough amps to make the profiling feature worthwhile; but, tonally I think some of their profiles are tough to beat (I heard one of the best emulations of a VH4 on a Kemper). With the pedal, however, I can use all the features of my Helix or FM9, but loop in the Kemper amps for the best of both worlds. I could see the perfect gigging setup being an FM9, Kemper, a Mission pedal, and Digitech Drop (free up that DSP on the FM9 for other blocks), all on a Trailer Trash pedalboard. One or two guitars for tunings that the Drop can’t assist with, and done. This is definitely going on the list.
Very happy about Jeff leaving AE, that man needs to be a creative outlet, too much great songwriting and playing within him! Can we also just take a moment to appreciate the "I text Jeff Loomis moment"? I know how big an album Dead Heart in a Dead World is, for both Ola and myself. The thought of being able to casually text someone who made one of your favorite albums growing up is just wild to me. Nice job Ola
Kemper liquid profiling has renewed some interest in the kemper for me. I'm using an FM3 now for home or when I can't crank up my amps. I went through kemper, 2 hx stomps, qc, and now the fm3. I think I'm good with the fm3. I don't need much

Kempers have "Liquid Profiling", which essentially means that you can have a modeled tonestack together with the profile itself. So the Bass, Mids, Treble and Presence knobs act the way the actual amplifier would. They also aim to capture the gain behaviour or something? It's pretty cool imo

Cold brew extracts the coffee at room temp. Pulls a bit more flavor and caffeine and less acidity. It's cold but I drink a ton of it.

I always use Kemper and it still a verry good amp
Hey Ola, you should try a cold brew coffee. On a hot summer day, they are rather good. I didn't think I would like them at first, but they turned out to be pretty good!
