As someone who works at a bakery, it totally makes sense to me that the cheapest one was the best! They must be very used to working with fondant and it isn’t a big deal for them to get an order like that so they know the best way to execute it and are more likely to have the resources and facilities to do so
@@andyv2209 Pay artists what they deserve. And a cake decorator _is_ an artist. They have an amazing talent and the skills needed to make the cake deserve to be properly.
This was fun! I only wish we could have seen how each cake had the 3D element suspended, I think it would have been cool to see Jonny deconstruct the elements a bit more.

Yaaay Jonny Cakes content! I vote for number three mostly because it uses Reese's Puffs, and I prefer my cereal to be so delicious and sugary it gives me a stomachache.
I like the milk element of #1 but like the bowl and the coco peanut butter theme of #3. Wish the fruit loops cake was better cause I love bergamot and they could have really pulled that together flavour wise. Matcha was an interesting choice for #1 cause I don't really see how it ties into the cereal theme.

So I grabbed a bowl and hit play! Also I'm so sad that my favorite flavor (white cake w/raspberry filling) ended up being the worst :( But I would've loved that Reeses Cake! Can't wait to watch more!

Every time I watch videos like this - with someone reviewing 3-4 places that provide a service and ranking them - it's usually the cheapest one that's the best. Like, 9 times out of 10, the one they spent the least for is generally the top choice. That tells me that these good places are either REALLY underselling themselves, or far too many mediocre places are way too overpriced.
The fruitloops cake should have had Earl Grey mixed into the frosting. It would have been better as bergamot is one of the major flavours people think of with fruit loops

This is so interesting! I wonder how the fillings/frosting affects the moistness of the cake? Especially since in this instance each one had a different type of filling. I know cake is ultimately high in sugar with lots of flour, but what recipe tweaks can be made to make it less full of sugar for those on low sugar diets (like being diabetic 😅) without going full artificial or resorting to sugar free angel food cake? Example: a lot of bakers spray a simple syrup on the cakes to add & lock in moisture. Is that a must? Are there other ways to lock in moisture without spritzing with even more sugar?
Can't believe the quality for the most expensive one it's like it was forgotten about it and was rushed the cake before closing. Flavour was basic with vanilla and using a cardboard milk carton and the spoon not being edible.
I'm shocked they charged over $300 for the second one... it was big but like... attaching a real, full-sized milk carton and not painting the bowl like that is giving "Aunty Karen gave up halfway through the bake." It just doesn't seem like a top tier bakery in LA would do that?
3 is super cute. I am 37 years old and it has always been a dream of mine to be a cake artist since I was 16. You inspire me so much with your videos every time I see them. My local dessert shop is hiring for the baker and cake decorator position. No experiance needed. Do you have a reccomendation on which one would be best to choose? I don't know which would be most benificial for me. My dream is to make cakes into cute cartoon things like a giant pokemon or like that is it cake show and what you do. I am a digital sculpture so I am not sure which would be the best choice. If you have any advice I would greatly appreicate the help.
