LeAnn Rimes is one of the best female voices of the 90s. She recorded her first album at the age of 13 or 14, the first single from it was "Blue". She also did a cover of Patsy Cline's "Crazy" that blew everyone outta the water...
🙃🐨🇦🇺
She also did the title track for the Coyote Ugly soundtrack...
If you wanna lose your mind, check her out on the mass singer a couple years ago she was awesome
Prime mansplaining here.100%. This isn't even her first video on Leanne Rimes, and here you are explaining Leanne Rimes to her....
She had me at 'Blue' 😲🔥
She absolutely has a beautiful voice one of my favorite country singers
YES … She has been massively underrated! But the ones who know know!!!
She has a gorgeous voice. One of the best singers ever. I think she is underrated
What makes her a great country artist is that her voice is natural and pure. There's no need for a fake and forced country accent. The same applies to Chris Stapleton.
Yup I wish this song was my wedding song years ago, it wasn’t out then but I did play it for my wife multiple times a week after it came out then I played it for her almost every day after she passed and still do because I promised her I would. This was one of our favorite songs ever but the one song that I play more than this one is my favorite of all time called “ I Need You “ it’s just so beautiful it reminds me of her every time.
LeAnn Rimes is such a phenomenal talent! This song is one of her best. Another of my favorite performances is a duet she does with Bon Jovi called Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore. It is well worth a listen.
She may not have 7 octaves like Jordan, but I would listen to LeAnn all day. Listen to. “Can’t Fight The Moonlight” to hear another side.
Excellent choice
She was the Masked Singer a couple of years ago and was really able to showcase her voice with different songs. You should definitely check it out and I love your reactions ❤
I was going to suggest the same thing.
Man I used to like that show. It is hot garbage now.
@@rickwelch8464 agreed.
Thats what I said. She won the show. She was amazing in that season. If all the winners went up against one another she would win. I loved her on that show.
@@renaymatthews6929 Agreed, she would win against any of the previous and any since on that show. She was one if the few I had an idea of right away, her and Bret Michael's, pretty much knew right away
I think LeAnn is very underrated. What a voice. Incredible control and power. Another underrated singer, to me, is Alison Krauss. Here is a link to her and her band's (Union Station) 'Ghost In This House'. You will like it, I'm pretty sure. ruclips.net/video/dWRGZaHb8xE/видео.html
Love her voice and this song. She's been singing since she was about 6 years old. She was mostly country at first, so glad she branched out. Love her acting job on Hallmark. Thanks for this great reaction.
Britt, Leann Rimes is Underrated. Why? I Don’t Know or Understand. She has One of THE BEST Country Singing Voices I Have Ever Heard. Thank You for Doing This Video.
Movie Recommendation: "Coyote Ugly" from 2000. LeAnn Rimes performs "Can't Fight the Moonlight" in the movie. The movie itself is enjoyable but the song is the star for me.
BTW, coyote ugly refers to waking up from a drunken one night stand and chewing your own arm off to get away from the ugly person you woke up with. It refers to how coyotes will chew their legs off to get out of a trap.
As far as I'm concerned, LeAnn sings circles around any woman in country music with the possible exception of Carrie Underwood and that's a Tie.
LeAnn Rimes - Cant Fight The Moonlight was one of the songs that made her famous from the movie Cayote Ugly
There was a Tv show called Star Search thats were Lean Rimes got started this song comes from the movie ConAir The song comes at the end of the move
We saw her at Penn State in March 1998, performing and headlining in front of a full arena before she was even 16 years old. Put on a great show and held the audience spellbound with that magnificent voice, at 15 years old!!!
LeAnn is incredible with many songs that showcase her talent.. One of my favorites of hers is "I Need You"
This song was written by Diane Warren who gave LeAnn the song which was to be used in the movie Con Air. Disney got involved with the production of the movie which was running into financial difficulties and decided they wanted a more mature sound than LeAnn and so got Trish Yearwood to record the song. LeAnn`s version was already storming up the charts with a video that had clips of the movie in it. Disney insisted the movie clips be removed, and released Trish`s version with movie clips instead. Diane Warren got involved and insisted on LeAnn`s version being used in the movie or she would sue. The eventual compromise was both versions were used in Con Air to great effect. But that`s why there are two versions of this wonderful song with close release dates. Fab reaction well done.
I was unaware both versions were used in the movie. Kinda cool.
@@wileydr As far as I know LeAnn`s version is near the start of the movie with Trisha Yearwood`s played at the end.
@@johnwhelan9225the producers did NOT use Rime's version in the film-they felt that her voice was not quite "mature" enough, so they just used Yearwood's instead. Huge mistake. Rime's version went on to worldwide success, while hardly anyone remembers Yearwood's lesser version.
@@jessieball6195 Your information on Leann`s version is correct with regards to her perceived lack of voice maturity but if you research a little deeper you will discover that both were used in the movie as per my initial comment.
Didn’t they come out with a video of both of them singing this song together?
I grew up singing with my Dad in his band. I remember when I first heard LeAnn Rimes singing BLUE at age 14 and instantly fell in love with her. I've been listening to her ever since and she still has an amazing voice after all these years. May I kindly suggest her knew song SPACESHIP (ORIGINAL VIDEO) IT TOOK MY BREATH AWAY. Also I DO DUET WITH ALOE BLACC IS SO GOOD.
When she first came on the scene, she got a lot of criticism for her youth. People were saying things like "sure, she has a good voice, but she's too young to have any life experience to know what the depth of feeling that she's singing about."
I remember that. I think she was only 13 or 14 when she released that as a sing.e in the late 90's.
The “pink whine with breakfast” lyric was what I remember being a big deal
THIS was the reason that her version was not used for the Con Air soundtrack.
@@kevinmoore2929no that wasn’t the reason. Jerry brockheimer the producer of Con Air wanted LeAnn to change her version because he said it wasn’t country enough. LeAnn refused to change it so they had Trisha record it after LeAnn. But it had nothing to do with her age. It was the music arrangement.
My daughter & I saw her open for Alan Jackson when she was 14. There were jokes about the entire band being her chaperones, etc. She had a voice, vocal techniques & emotional delivery far beyond her years. We were blown away by this young phenom. Apparently, as her recognition grew, others thought that was just, somehow, wrong. They thought she was inappropriate if not actually suspect. Would anyone have batted an eye if she were male? Seriously doubt it. She continues to be phenomenal &, yes, I think she's underrated.
She does it with such ease. Beautiful!
Her biggest mainstream (non-country) hit, peaking at #2 Pop in 1997 (and #9 Pop overall for the year). It was in the Top 40 for an enormous amount if time. Just kept going. Trish Yearwood had a simultaneous release of the song and scored a big Country hit with it at the same time Rimes was ruling the Pop charts.
Yearwood's version not even close to matching Rime's.
LeAnn Rimes is a country Celine. He voice is versatile, controlled, gentle and yet so strong when it needs to be. I could listen to her all day.
I think she is very underrated such an angelic voice
Hi lovely lady good one for you ( LeAnn rimes - Can't fight the moonlight ) official music video a great song at her best have fun
My wife and I had “The Wedding Song(There is Love” by Paul Stookey, of Peter, Paul and Mary.
I liked her version the best.
LeAnn is just a pure talented singer
When I hear this song I think of my children ... and it hits a lot harder right now cause my best friend of 25yrs just lost her 20yr old son (my god son ) in a car accident a couple weeks ago so I really FEEL this song right. I love your reactions ... Go have the day you deserve !!!!
She has a duet with Elton John called Written in the Stars. It’s phenomenal.
She is highly under rated
Do an amazing grace reaction. She killed that too
You may want to check out her live performance of "The Rose" from (I think) 2010 with the L.A. Gay Men's Choir.
this song was the theme song to the movie of Nicolas Cage, Conair, what a great movie...
this somg was perfection for the last scene in the movie, "Con Air".
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Not by hazard that she wins the
MASKED SIGNER
👌👏👍🏻🫶
Is the Masked Signer a show for deaf people???
THAT SONG...is a perfect 100 out of 100... the perfect, once in a lifetime pairing of THE right song with the vocalist who can give a song it's life...LeAnn Rimes' voice is a gift from God!
I'm pretty sure that this is originally by Trisha Yearwood, this the "CON AIR" song, she was a kid, when she first recorded this song.
This was in the movie con air😊
You are absolutely right, she is definitely underrated.
Britt! Britt! I found you another song. You both these fellers. George Strait and Alan Jackson together. Enjoy.

ruclips.net/video/AA_5sLaTErQ/видео.html LeAnn Rimes - I Need You (Official Music Video)
She was only 15 or 16 here most likely. She was 15 when she did “blue” her first hit.
Your reaction to this amazing singer is one of my favorites. I also love your voice and ear when you replicate what you hear. You are also talented.
❤ and I love what you doing working at the old country music songs and stuff Tom T Hall hello country bumpkin
If you truly want to hear the awesomeness of her voice find the video where she`s in a cathredal singing Amazing Grace . Her version of it is amazing !! Also , Britt , I love your reactions !! And if you find the time there is a young lady that needs way more play time in every venue . Her name is Liamani Sings . And whether it`s her singing as a child or as a teenager , I`m positive she will take your breath away . An amazing young woman . Thank you again for your reactions .
This song was for the soundtrack of the movie “Conair”. Both Leann and Trisha Yearwood auditioned for this. They chose Trisha, they thought Leann was too young at the time. Some people have mashed the two together and you can’t tell who sings what.
You must not have heard her first song "BLUE". LISTEN TO THE OMV and then come on back.
You must not have heard her first song "BLUE". LISTEN TO THE OMV and then come on back.
You need to go on you tube and put her name in she has to many performances and she does to a video called cattle call she just has a lot I watch what shows up she has come along way starting at 13 yrs old to a beautiful and talented woman …karen form Pittsburgh pa. 😊 I watch you everyday and over and over Elvis is my favorite I saw him in Pittsburgh Pa. 12/31/76 rang in his last new year with us …have agreat day
Con Air.
One of Leanne’s other problems was she started at the age of 13 and a lot of the critics thought she was too young to be singing these love songs, so they kind of pushed her out really that’s why I think she went to pop
Oh my God, I've fallen in love instantly, hearing this song. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
She recorded this for the intention of going on the movie Con Air,but at only age 14,the choice was made to use Trisha Yearwood's version in stead.
Her voice is a Elegant Seranade of Joy to your ears.
Google her awards for 1997
How about losing your husband? He died as she released this song. 2000
I will never forget. He was only 55 and the best man ever. It has taken me over 23 years to be able to listen to this song. It still kills me. Crying here.
I think she unfairly fell victim to being a child prodigy. Her voice was probably even stronger when she was 13 or 14 years old. I think as she matured and her voice changed somewhat, in addition to growing into a woman after being in the limelight as a child, she made some missteps that caused her to fall out of favor with many of her fans. I also think that for some time she was not interested in continuing as a performer. Seems that as of late she might have rediscovered a desire to perform so I hope she is able to find that joyful balance in her life.
her transitions from her head to chest are top notch,
she does an wonderful job on amazing grace
she is the youngest solo artist to win the grammy awards in age of 14yrs old , and this song is one of the biggest and chart record breaking song in 90's.
Your React is truly the best as you really know and learn about the song and meaning.....awesomeness ❤❤❤
Beautiful ❤️🔥 yeah it does make a great wedding song, sounds good to me 😊 actually i would love to have a Angelina Jordan song at my wedding, maybe like Angelina's "Shield" song or one of her new up coming songs if one of them sounded like a wedding song to me or just one that i absolutely love, yeah when i get married its definitely going to be an Angelina Jordan song, this is the Way, hehehe ❤️🔥
I remember when the official video for this song was released on CMT years back... Trisha Yearwood (AKA Mrs. Garth Brooks) also released her official video of the exact same song on the same day... They rolled the two videos out with a competition where the fans decided which version was better... If memory serves, as great as LeAnn is... Trisha won the competition... Trisha's version was also featured on the movie "Con AIr" with Nicolas Cage and John Cusack...
Actually they thought LeAnn was too young. Diane Warren wrote "How Do I Live" for consideration for the 1997 action blockbuster Con Air soundtrack. She ran into LeAnn Rimes at a restaurant shortly following her win as Best New Artist during the 1997 Grammy Awards. Warren told Rimes that she wrote the song specifically with Rimes in mind, promising it to her. After she recorded the song the next day, Walt Disney Pictures, the company behind the Touchstone Pictures label, decided that Rimes' recording had too much of a "pop" sound, and that Rimes, then 14 at the time of the recording, was too young to sing about the subject matter of the song and refused to release it.
@@joankisloski6972 Yes, I am aware of that, but I didn't find out, or even think to look into that until several years later... Gotta love Hollywood politics...
Trisha's version of the song apparently didn't even make the official soundtrack, supposedly over copyright issues or something like that....
The remarkable factor is her blend of Country and SOUL. And she was notably young when she achieved her original successes.
I believe her first album was released when she was just 14.
Her singing Amazing grace in a church a capella is 🔥
Loved your reaction, you give props where they belong even though you have a nice voice and carry a tune, you are not afraid to complement others. Really would like to see your review of Blue.
LeAnn Rimes got jipped. She sang the song better than anyone else ever could and Trisha Yearwood stole that song from her because they said LeeAnn was too young to really know what words to the song ment. I think Leanne was 15 years old when she sang that. she got ripped!
Honestly in my mind Leann Rimes is the only one that sings this song Trisha yearwood did an ok job but her version is boring
Sorry to anyone who may disagree, but this IS the version to be revered. The rest fall short.
Kind suggestions: " This One's For The Girls" by Martina McBride
" Beautiful" by Gordon Lightfoot
Elton John and Rimes did a duet together called Written In The Stars
She was the darling for quite awhile until she had an affair with her now husband, Eddie Cibrian. Both were married at the time. Scandal, scandal, scandal! I'm happy she's making a comeback. That voice should never be denied.
Um no. That had nothing to do with anything. Besides, no one needs to stay stuck where they don’t wanna be.
@@AussieGirl235 What was it then? I also agree with that last bit 💯
@@rowanmayfair9249 The same reason every single other singer has their time and fades away. Her hey day was the 90’s and early 2000’s, just like a thousand others
@AussieGirl235 We see it differently, no biggie. It seemed odd timing, and she was blasted in the rags. The scene was never kind to her after.
@@rowanmayfair9249 She was long gone from the limelight when she got with him. When they met she was working on a crappy lifetime/hallmark type movie. That’s what actors/singers resort to when they’re no longer in demand and need to do something for money
You have to listen to her sing amazing grace in the video she’s in a church MIND BLOWING
LeAnn and Trisha both do a fantastic job with this, but you should also check out the version by Michael Bolton.
I love lee Ann however I do love Trisha Yearwoods version as much.
LeAnn is know as one of the best singers in any genre.
She killed it on the Masked Singer on every genre.
Sounds just like the studio version and honestly even better
Ms Britt, I know exactly what you mean. I will always love the singers voice.
There are singers out there right now who can overpower their own band (Floor Jensen) and they know it, and refuse to do it.
There are those voices where the band is literally an afterthought. For example, Alanis Morissette's Uninvited live on stage. That song nails me to the floor every time I hear it.
There are so many others! A personal favourite for me is Ursine Vulpine & Annaca's cover of Chris Isaac's Wicked Game. Her voice is simply astonishing!
I could give you a list! Singers on videos, CD's, cassette, vinyl, of some of the most powerful, emotional, and thought provoking singers in the world, and they will never get old for me.
I hope the same is true for you.
Alanis' song is Uninvited.
@@rowanmayfair9249 Thank you.
I second Uninvited. It's a vocally stunning song.
When my mom left when i was 6, i listened to this song repeatedly on cassette tape and cried. Sad memory, i know.. but i remember it being the first song that really made me love music and how powerful it is.
6:25 What a scathing commentary on Taylor Swift!!! Truer words have never been spoken. Love that!
Trisha Yearwood did this song for ConAir, definitely worth a listen
I think they both were on the CON AIR soundtrack, I don't remember
I was fortunate enough to see her live in a very small venue and believe it or not, her voice is even better live.
This was a great reaction, I agree completely on her voice being both giant and gentle, soft but strong, etc. She was really young when she got started I think she was the youngest female country singer to win multiple Grammys in one year. You have a really nice voice too honestly, you can hear it when you were referencing a couple lines and sang them. Sometimes people do that when reacting to songs and it can get very “nails scratching a chalkboard” but yours is very pleasant! Have a great day!
LeAnn Rimes is one of my favorite country singers hands down🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
She did Win The Mask Singer a couple years ago:)
She won one of the seasons of Masked Singer
Beautiful crystal clear voice....the song is beautiful, she is beautiful....
Had this song to all 10 of my weddings to all my wives🎉❤
This woman's voice is a juggernaut! She can sing the phone book.
Out of all the genre, female country fingers have the most powerful voices in the business
I grew up listing to LeAnn Rimes she is amazing
She has it all. She is a bit underrated only because it seemed that she took a long time off. I'll put her voice up against almost anyone.
She is very underappreciated. She's my queen.
LeAnn does a wonderful job with this song, but Trisha Yearwood also sang this on the soundtrack for Con Air. In my opinion it was a little better with a more mature voice.
LeAnn has one of the MOST beautiful voices that I have ever heard. I saw her Live in Grapevine, TX at the Grapevine Opry when she was 13 years old. She TRULY has a God given talent.
One of the most amazing performances I've seen on tv was her as The Sun on Masked singer. Tremendous vocalist without a doubt.
The best female voice in country music....she deserves more accolades.than she receives. She captivates you with her voice.
She's a "HOME WRECKER" 😂,
Just kidding, she fell in live with a married actor, and there was a lot of GOSSIP going on, She's a great singer, great voice
