"Cant fight the Moonlight" is a nice song from her.
Have to watch the film ,
Coyote Ugly
Love that one!
Yep, if you want some real LeAnn Rimes fun, you can't beat 'Can't Fight the Moonlight'.
@@louisef1861my favorite from her
She was 15 years old here, singing this song. I believe she was 12 when she sang her break through song "Blue."
14
She was only 14. It hit the top 40 in early July 1997, and she didn't turn 15 until the end of August. Plus it was recorded before July, so she was even younger.
She was 14 in Blue and 15 in How Do I live.
@@ashleyshayday1526 She was 14 in How Do I Live, because it hit the top 40 the week of 7/5/97, and she didn't turn 15 until 8/28/97.
I never knew this!! Insane and amazing
She was a prodigy, her career began when she was just a teenager. Incredible talent!
The youngest solo artist Grammy winner at age 14. She is also a contestant (sun) at masked singer, check out if you haven't.
her career began when she was a child!!
Her first big hit was "Blue". She was only 14 years old/
Yes yes yes
yes the patsy Kline remake
Yes yes yes
@@deesee3622 Patsy Cline never actually sang that song. She died before she could record it.
I believe LeAnn was just 13 when she released "Blue". She became the youngest country star, replacing Tanya Tucker as the youngest.
My father-in-law played in her backup band not long before she got famous.
Gorgeous song. Her voice is just 👌🏼❤️ You should check out her song 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' that song is a tune 🎶
I love Coyote Ugly!
One of the biggest hits of early 2000s 😃
@@meghanmonroe especially when the Adam Garcia dances on the bar!
She just won The Masked Singer
All of her performances were amazing. Worthy of watching. I think she’s gotten better with age. She definitely wasn’t sitting at home letting herself go.
😍😍😍
Ahhh spoilers! hahaha
This was the song in the movie Con Air starring Nicholas Cage
Trisha Yearwood sang that version in Con Air.
@@kimhesketh2016 yes and much better version.
I prefer LeAnn's version myself...
Trisha was an an adult her version is beautiful. LeAnn was 14 when she was asked to sing this. For 14 she did great just as beautiful.
@@ecj17cel So do I.
"I Need You" is far and away her BEST song - amazing vocals, gives me chills.
My fave too🙌
This is BY FAR her best song, imo.
Also my favorit 👍
LeAnn Rimes is still the youngest solo artist to win a Grammy at 14 years old!
Omg, another song that makes me cry whenever I hear it. Clicked immediately. Love this song. 👍🏻💖
Me too. I'm only listening for the reaction. Almost passed it up.
Leaves me a sobbing mess too - beautiful song 🥰

That and Unbreak My Heart by Toni Braxton. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
When a partner dies and the other passes shortly thereafter... this is referred to as "dying of a broken heart". It is believed that one such occurrence was when June Carter Cash passed away and Johnny Cash died about 4 months later.
J, You'll love her "Can't Fight the Moonlight"
This song was when I learned about the songwriter Diane Warren, who wrote this and dozens of other top hits, including Blame it on the Rain (Milli Vanilli), Don't Turn Around (Ace of Base), If I Could Turn Back Time and Just Like Jesse James (Cher), Un-Break My Heart (Toni Braxton) and more. Paradoxically, Warren has never married and said: "I've never been in love like in my songs. I'm not like normal people. I'm no good at relationships," and one reviewer wrote of her: "She's actually more like the Emily Dickinson of Pop. As in the case of the great19th-century reclusive New England poet known for her simple yet eloquent verses, Warren leads a life focused almost entirely on her art." The more you know! LOL
WOW! A wealth of great information here- Thank You 🍃🌺🍃🌺🍃💚👵🏽👋🏾
Excellent info ❤️👏🙏
Jayvee - check out "Blue", her debut song at age 14 and written originally for Patsy Cline.
OK written for her, but tragically unable to record. Leann had to be born, so we could "hear" Patsy Cline's recording through her.
She was only 15 YEARS OLD when she recorded this. She was on a TV Talent show in 1990 called Star Search when she was only 8 and had a beautiful voice. Christina Aguilera was also on that show when she was 9 years old. Trisha Yearwood also did a version of this sing which is really good too.
The song was released in May of 1997, Leann would turned 15 in August 28, 1997. Highlights from her recordings are I Need You, Can't Fight the Moonlight, You Light Up My Life, Purple Rain (Prince), But I Do Love You, Life Goes On, These Arms of Mine, Born to Lose, Blue, Nothin Bout Love Makes Sense, Unchained Melody (there is a great live version from 2019 on youtube), but there is also the 1998 version from the AMA awards. She just recently won the Masked Singer. The song set several records on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. 25 consecutive weeks in the top5, 32 weeks consecutive weeks in the top 10, 62 weeks in the top 40 , and 69 weeks on the chart. The #4 song on the Hot 100 all-time chart. The song never reached the #1 spot, as the death of Princess Diana, and the Candle In the Wind (updated version) in which the proceeds went the Princess's Charity fund kept her out of the top spot.
i just love how excited you get when you hear a brilliant song/singer for the first time, never gets old this song.
She did a great duet with Elton John called ‘Written in the Stars’
Really great song, worth a look
Yessss beautiful!!!!
Thanks for reminding me of this song. The lyrics are sublime. It's from Elton and Tim Rice's musical "Aida".
They had two versions; they alternated the verses.
Checkout her song Blue. She sounds like Patsy Cline in that one.
That song was meant to be SUNG by Patsy Cline.
Unfortunately, her untimely death prevented that from happening.
Leann was the first person since to be worthy of the song.
Everyone confuses the _song_ with what she _sounds_ like, she doesn't sound like Patsy Cline, at all.
You should listen to can’t fight the moonlight from the film coyote ugly it’s her best song
Awesome song!!!
Blue and can't fight the moonlight, my favorite songs from her.
I sent this song to my husband on our 30th annivers. When he died on Jan. 1st at 9 am 2018 my "life" stopped, I did almost die for one week I was in the hospital and it took my Granddaughter coming to see me to make me come back. I was not injured, I just did not wish to live. I now live only to see my Granddaughter grown and settled into her life. The Gods will send for me when it is my time to join him. Thank You for this memory, even though the tears fell it helped me remember our love and to know that he is waiting on the other side. Blessing to you.
One of the greatest female vocal performances ever recorded. I never fail to get goosebumps from the sheer excellence of her voice. GREAT reaction, Jay!!!
Her voice is so good!! She won this past season of The Masked Singer as the Sun. Her performances were amazing.
SO MUCH TALENT IN THIS WORLD!! Just imagine if there was no music in it!
Think of the BEAUTY that would be lost!! The EMOTION, the ENERGY, the HOPE...
💗😇💗
Hello from Cody wyoming! The song hits hard, my husband and I were married for 31 years until I had to take him off life support. They say time heals all wounds, they're wrong
This the song by her that opened the door for to discover country music and it did. Because of this song , I loved country music and even some songs with a story telling way
My parents were that way. After 40 years, dad passed, and mom, who'd been healthy her whole life, was gone soon after.
That’s heartbreaking I’m so sorry for your losses
@@MrsB2019 Thank you. I like to think that she's where she wanted to be.
I’m sure she’s happy they are together. The same thing happened to my great grandparents
My Condolences.. They are in Paradise♥️🌹🌹🙏
That once In a lifetime love ... I miss mine and am waiting till I can join him again one day ... my deepest condolences to you
Lee Ann Rimes was 15 years old when she sang this song. She had such a mature voice.
I grew up listening to LeeAnn Rimes when she first came out on the scene and blew us all away with her amazing patsy Cline like vocals and sang the song Blue.
She yodals a little whenever she belts out the word Blue. Ive tried to sing it like she does and yodaling is not easy. Lol!
And she was only 14 years old.
Cant Fight the Moonlight was another great song of hers and it was in the movie Coyote Ugly.
Try watching her hit songs list on youtube.
She and Jon Bon Jovi sing a duet called “Til We Ain’t Strangers Anymore”.
She is absolutely astonishing. Her voice is clarion! She deserves so much more acclaim than she’s received. She’s a once-in-an-eternity type of voice.
Try “Probably Wouldn’t Be This Way”. Its one of her deepest, most beautiful songs.
I too was caught off guard when I first heard her at 13 or 14 yrs old! Her song ‘ Blue ‘ was Patsy Cline’s song - Patsy died before it was released! R.I.P. Patsy Cline 🍃🌸🍃
Leann certainly did the song justice- Beautiful Song
Awesome reaction 👵🏽👋🏾🦅☀️🦅🙏🏽
If you like this you'll love her song Can't Fight the Moon Light.
She made this song as a young teenager in the 90s. She's only 41 years old today and still healthy. She has so many more years ahead of her to perform at concerts. A lot of other singers who are older aren't in the best health and can't perform anymore.
One of the most natural voices I’ve ever heard at an age like this. She was 15 years old in 1997 when the song was released! Amazing. My husband had this song playing in the background and this entire album when he proposed to me 23 Years ago. I love this choice for your reaction and how you could just sit back and be pulled into the song. Her voice is soothing with so much blues and a little bit of country. I remember being blown away watching Hurst thing the song blue at age 14. Don’t forget she is one of those artists who has been open about a tough recovery from what she calls a “traumatic“ childhood stardom. ❤️❤️✌️✌️
Nice, brother ... that you appreciate this artist and song. LeAnn is awesome. I'm 58 ... have been listing to her for 15+ years. She is truly one of the best female talents ever!
You should watch the performances of The Sun on Masked Singer.
She has a remarkable voice. Another great one by her is "Probably wouldn't be this way" a very emotional video as well. Check it out.
A performance and voice that merits the superlatives -> Amazing. Incredible. Magnificent. Fabulous. And ultimately ... Powerful.
This song does the same thing to me JayVee!! Straight to the heart. Her live version on the grammies was amazing, with Patti LaBelle and Celine Dion amazed by her voice.
Back in the mid 90s I was cleaning house and listening to CMT playing new artists videos. All of a sudden a song called Blue by this new 14 year old singer comes on and I stopped in my tracks. I started yelling hey come listen to this girl. She is gonna be a huge star some day. I kept listening and all I could think to say when it was over was DAMN SHE'S GOOD !!! The rest is history...
People will always talk trash about her personal life, let those without issues throw the 1st insult. My personal view is that LeAnn Rimes is a beautiful, talented artist who began her career at age 13. This song was also sung by Trisha Yearwood for the movie "Con Air" with Nicolas Cage and the gorgeous Monica Potter. As good as Trisha sang it they should've used LeAnns version. Believe it or not it was even better when she first sang it back in 1997, the year the movie came out with Trisha singing it for the movie.
You should here 14 year old LeAnn singing " Blue". I saw her sing in a hosp.TV waiting room and was like, wait, this is country? Next thing you know I'm watching country videos & buying albums. I also love the grown up lamb's this decade songs like " What Have I Done" and " Borrowed". Very personal songs.
J-check out “What I cannot change” and her duo with Bonjovi “ Till we ain’t strangers anymore”. LeAnn is one of the best!
At the 1998 Grammy Awards Leann Rimes and Trisha Yearwood were both nominated for the same song in category Best Female Country Vocal Performance award. They had both recorded the same song that year. Leann performed the song, and then award was announced and went to Trisha....AWKWARD! But they both handled it with grace.
Heard of her before but never listened to a single song by her....man...I was stupid on that score. Beautiful singing voice 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😍 Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸
I love this song! Her vocals are amazing! Beautiful! ❤️❤️
Elton John & Leanne Rimes/Written In The Stars studio version
It was very big news when it was announced that these two artists would team up for this song.
Such a beautiful song & a beautiful voice. She had that voice at such a young age too. 💕💓💞
Great Song (typical Diane Warren sound), great voice, great arrangement - and great reaction! These are the moments we are all waiting for on this channel. Thank you for bringing this song back to us!
LeAnn Rimes has been around for such a long time, becoming a star at a very early age. She is phenomenally talented with a beautiful voice. Check out the fun side of LeAnn Rimes with 'Can't Fight the Moonlight'.
Every song she sang on the Coyote Ugly soundtrack. This song was written by o e of the best love song writers out there in Diane Warren. She has written for some of everybody.
Can't Fight The Moonlight is my fave song of hers
Another good one
yes! and I Need you. I think they were both for the coyote ugly sdtk
She was a country phenom in her teens having her first album out that was crossing over genres.
She has several GREAT songs. From her “Blue” to an excellent version of the RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS famed cover of “Unchained Melody”.
There’s a video floating around RUclips of a more recent cover of “Hallelujah” that is pretty sweet, too!
But, yes, she a great one.
Amazing voice. Her first big hit, "Blue", went to the top when she was just a teenager. My favorite of her's is "Nothin' Better To Do." You should react to it if you can. Love your videos!!
I'll bet this was played at many weddings.
I used to have my own deejay business years ago and YES... this was a huge favourite. :^)
Played at my mates wife's funeral 😥
LeAnn Rimes is a vocal legend. Her love life was trashed and people started to judge her based on her choices. But she will forever be a vocal legend.
I always loved her song "One Way Ticket".
First heard her back when her first album came out. She was 13 and sang the song "Blue" originally by the great Patsy Cline. Anyone listening the LeAnn knew she had the talent amd above all the voice to carry her far...
Written by Blue Mack.
"Bill" Mack actually... Few singer songwriters ever break into the mainstream. But thankfully enjoy their talents through other performers.
She just recently won “The Masked Singer” competition... her voice is amazing!
She is so talented. I love her voice.
"Blue" OMG she sounds like
Patsy Cline who I adore. ❤🎵✌
I've gotten into the habit of giving a thumbs up about two seconds into your videos, because I know they'll be great. I loved watching your face as her voice made its impression on you!
Her voice is something else. Beautiful song 🥰
You have to listen to her video of the song “Blue” She was 14 when she sang it. It was written for Patsy Cline but she passed before she could record it and the write waited for the right person to sing it. It was several years later.
Oh don't mind me...just over here binging your videos! 😂 This is one of my favorite songs! When my mom died and I heard this song, I cried like a baby!
Agree with several comments here. You HAVE to listen to her first hit, Blue. And be further amazed when you realize she was only 14 When she recorded it. Gorgeous voice.
Written by the brilliant Dianne Warren about her love of music.
She was told to teak a break from music by her doctor. She took a guitar in case, and wrote this after she missed her music.
I loved LeAnn Rimes when I was little
I know exactly what you’re talking about. My grandparents were married just a 3 months shy of their 70th anniversary (seven decades) when my grandmother passed. My pawpaw followed exactly 14 days later.
Amazing voice and so young when she had number 1 hits!!
such a mature voice; i believe she was a teen when she recorded this; beautiful song; she won the masked singer and i guessed right!
This was 1 of the soundtracks used for the 90's action film "Con Air". Great soundtrack that worked well for the scenes they used it in (especially ending scene, won't give anything away). If your in the mood for a good action film then I would definitely recommend Con Air, also The Rock, 2 really good action films to come out in the 90's :)
Love LeAnn, and this is my favorite from her. I had the maxi-single with the dance mixes. Awesome reaction brother
She is a brilliant talent. She has so many hits, you should react to more of her music. Can’t Fight the Moonlight, Blue, What I Cannot Change, her cover of Uninvited, Gasoline and Matches with Rob Thomas and Jeff Beck...a crazy good song! She can sing anything and it sounds like angels...
This song doesn't just pertain to couples, I dedicated this song to my daughter's and my grandchildren ❣️💞💖 one of the most beautiful songs ever.
Jevon this is a winner all the way. SHE HAS AMAZING CONTROLLED VOCALS WOW a winner all the way
“I need you” is another beauty 💕
"Blue" is the groovy one. Swung rhythm. This one is classic though. Brings me back everytime
Another amazing composition from songwriter Diane Warren. LeAnn absolutely nails this. Beautiful 👌👌
She has a beautiful voice; she has been singing since she was 13 years old.
If you want a real Country powerhouse listen to Martina McBride singing Independence Day or Broken Wing
Wow yesss she has such a powerful beautiful voice!!!
Concrete Angle
Beoken Wing tears me up!! Her voice is incredible
Yes, this!
Real? LeAnn is. Legit powerhouse. But yah Martina event more so
Leann fell in love with her the moment i heard this a very talented lady.
She does an amazing version of Amazing Grace. Her first hit was Blue...really good!
Did you see her do it on music in high places? Magical her in a church just her powerful voice bouncing off the church walls. Crazy beautiful.
@@jlangguth1 yes, I did...beautiful!
I was trying to remember the lyrics on the intro but as soon as she came in all the words came back! Was a huge hit here in Ireland!
You have no idea how popular this song was in the 90s especially off the movie "con air" it was constantly on radio, it's funny how it has been forgotten already.
I always think of my husband when I hear this, he is the best thing in life, and honestly don’t know how I would live without him !
You can see many more sides of LeAnn when she did MASKED SINGER Show . Which she WON Must see and hear. Good REaction
I remember when this song came out I brought the single and I flogged it. Hahaha your reactions are priceless!!! I'm an old sub but its so awesome listening to my old favourite through your ears. 🖤🖤🖤🇦🇺🦘🐨
this song always makes me tear up. she nailed the emotion & she was so young. she sings it so beautifully♥️
Now play it through without interrupt. This singer deserves it
This song was also the soundtrack for the movie Con Air
Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and author. Rimes rose to stardom at age 13 following the release of her version of the Bill Mack song "Blue", becoming the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker in 1972.this is the information for you to know
She is back in the limelight between her being on The Masked Singer, AND WINNING, and her new "chant" album. This lady is awesome!!
Terry sat and listened to this wonderful song and singer with me, it is one of those songs that touches our hearts and souls as this iis how we feel about each other. Its been too long since we last heard it and we feel your reactions to it is perfect sweetheart. Leanne has a fantastic voice that sounded much more mature than her actual age when this was a hit bless her. Everything about this recording is perfect and the band did a brilliant job which you noted Jayvee. My late Mum said no-one with a loving heart could dislike this, I still agree with her and I know there are other beautiful songs by her which I hope you will one day react too. God bless you all love hugs and peace to everyone Mary-Ellen UK
One of the greatest love songs of our time ♥ they used this song in the soundtrack for the movie Conair. Great movie.
Such an amazing singer. "One Way Ticket" is a song I would check out too by her. Great stuff!
Another awesome song. Some great songs being showcased at the moment!! Another one of my favourites!!
LeAnn was only 15 when she recorded this.
The original of it by Tricia Yearwood from the soundtrack of Con Air is also pretty good.
Another great track by LeAnn Rimes is Can't Fight the Moonlight.
I have never watched the Masked singer but I know that she Won The Masked Singer!!
