@@ariellejack5989when you hear Jaco you recognize him. When you hearing this guy without seeing him he sounds like lots of super cool guys. Jaco s sound is always recognizable even our days
WTF! Wow, I'm gettin' me some of them Elixir strings! I didn't know that was all I needed......damn, 40 years of practicing with the wrong damn strings!
@Garegh62 It's a year later, just wanted to say that I have been using RUclips for almost ten years and this is the most up-an-ass headed series of comments by a single user I have ever seen.
It's not too difficult to figure out. It's mostly chromatic scales in patterns. Figure out the pattern, then repeat it up and down. Start slow until it sounds right.
+Derek Austin Yea but you gotta give it up that this was incredible. I think one should try for slow, with feel and then go for speed, with feel - as Feraud demonstrates here. :D
+Derek Austin , that's the easy answer of a shabby who do not even know what the feeling is ! ... the dogs bark and the caravan passes ... wouahhh wouahhh ha ha ha ha
Well, it's boring (most likely) to a person who just wants to pose all day on and off the stage. Splitting the difference as much as one can is really the key. Herbie Hancock, George Duke and Marcus Miller (on some levels) are probably three of the best examples of that.
Even at lightning speed his notes are clear and articulate. He's right up there with Jaco that way.
He is better lets be real
@@ariellejack5989fr he is technically way better than jaco

+PGeorge61 Elixir is life
In my opinion Elixir is shittiest strings i've ever played, im pretty sure that he is the Elixir endorser.
Nort Yakim Why is that?
do you know to play?
He's an amazing bass player..
Damn that's fast!! That second exercise is great! I will get there!
Hadrien, you’re a beast!... and by the way.... thanks for “slowing it down” for us. 😆
Such a great player.
So basically what he calls a "warm up" is where 90% of all bass players will never get. Nice...
@Garegh62 Get over yourself. His comment is 100% correct.
@Garegh62 No wonder you can't get any gigs.
@Garegh62 Poster was clearly talking about all bass players, not just pros. I hope you read music better than you read comments.

Cool and FUN vid!
Grace and Peace 😊
The mark bass amp sounds great it's not only the strings ,,
Reminds me of Jamerson's chromatic scale exercise.
I think Elixir nanoweb strings are the best strings I've ever had.
Great but I wish he would tell us what the right hand plucking pattern is for each of these exercises...
thank you Elixir and Had Fero! im definitely ordering a set of these this instant
Respect!
Muy buenos ejercicios!!
Completely blown!
Love this cat......amazing
amazing !
That's where a sheet of the score would have proven useful. Great exercise, though, I'll see if I can pick it from the video.

@@maldivirdragonwitch Thanks for the advice !
What model string does he use in this video?
Elixir.
i use ernie ball and i want to test new string ! elixir is better thant ernie or ?
Anyone know what kind of strap he's wearing? Looks durable and comfy
if the bumblebee moved its wings as fast as Hadrien moves his fingers .. The bumblebee would be a Jet! XD
2:05
crazy!
What bass brand is this?
Ken Smith Signature.
I like Hadrien's playing a lot but I feel like if Michael Phelps just told to swim 500 pool turns as a warm up.
pour la dèboulade, il est bon.
la musicalité, c'est autre chose.
il est au contraire très musical , regardez ses concerts
That reallllly makes me want to quit playing my bass
This makes me want to continue and work hard at getting better.
Try to play it with a metronome. Its so relaxing and addictive
👍😂My fingers are "finging"..😂
J'ai remarque que Adrien Feraud accroche souvent quand il joue !?
Speed it up. a little bit
well yes...he has CLEARLY some problem of finger indipendence....ROFL
[throws bass in garbage] it's broken. i quit.
holy cr+p , wait what , do that again.
singing sparrow
It's the same whatever instrument you play. Work on those weak outside fingers..then learn to play slow, with feel. Virtuosity of itself is BORING.

Imo yes elixir is better
