ok this dude killing it ! great sound !! its amazing how these three guys are in the pocket together on every note !!! i would pay to see these guys live !!
I came here for the instrument and stayed for the music. Holy smokes, these boys are on fire. Sound through headphones is extraordinary, I love this clip.
Now this is fantastic. Great job by all players. Tons of musicianship happening there. This is the first time I've encountered this Bassist. Time to get into his discography.
Yeah, it just sound a little like shit. Three dudes who doesn't give each other room makes up for some very messy sound. I didn't look at the video to see what they did was impressive, I listened to it, and it sounded horrible! The drummer is spot on, but still just making noise in the background, while the bassist and pianist are really impressive, but also in a competition to make the most chords and notes.
Thank you jaco you uncovered a formula about the bass we can play and enjoy and not get bored of playing the bass. Jaco pastorious the greatest bass player of all time
Holy cow, I've said basses sound like butter in the past, but I take it all back.... now THIS bass sounds like butter!!! So damn smooth! BEAUTIFUL!!! great playing too, of course.... :)
No it's not BassTheWorld, it's Mayones, they did the same on the first video of the same trio. I knew it was Ruslan Sirota, the great pianist now based in LA, but the drummer's name remained a mystery after all these months since the first series of Jabba videos. Thanks Gregor.
Funny, I asked about who the keyboardist was on a vid on here about a month ago 'Mad Bass Skills' and your response was 'Their Granny'. Glad you at least addressed it with some earnest this time.
Congratulations, Mayones!!! As a professional photographer i only can appreciate this perfectly professional video. As a amateur bassist, i only can to envy the mastery of Hadrien Feraud....
Glad I came across this brilliant video showing Hadrien's brilliant technique and articulation and sound 😳. Can't stop watching and listening to these amazing musicians and this fantastic tune !! Thanks for putting this up 👍👍👍
It makes me happy to see him hold his bass like that. I'm a guitarist playing bass and every once in a while by accident I take it off my right leg and put it between them and hold it more up-right and I've been thinking it's a taboo thing.
That was smooth as silk when the bass and keyboard just nice and softly eased into the killin sticking groove of the drummer. Yep, very nicely done. LOL 😝 Couldn’t bobbin my head and foot tapping on this. Love It. You cats are on-it.....
The first time I heard Hadrien Feraud was a tune on Chick Corea's 'Ultimate Adventure'. Blew my mind. Then on Chick Corea's 'The Vigil'. Excellent recording Feraud's playing is incredible. The Great Christian McBride plays live with Chick on The Vigil gig. One of my favorite Jazz albums. The drummer is Roy Haynes grandson.
I could be totally wrong about this, but have we considered the possibility that he is in fact playing the hi-hat? Just in a way that makes it sound like a ride?
I dig the thick pillowy bottom end and it could just be how Hadrien has it eq or how its mixed, but it lacks a lot of mid clarity. Blazing track by all 3 though. Ruslan and Chaun are beasts.

This was filmed, tracked and mixed by me at my former studio in Hollywood. Happy to see people are enjoying it after all these years.
this was a nice recording room
amazing, bro. i am from brazil
Love it ! Great job. The mix is great !
Good work bro great even. From one recording engineer to another fire 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome !
Man the technique of hadrien is so smooth, he is the most technic bassist and one of the bests; just flawless.
Holy fluck. The chops that drummer possesses is freaking insane.
all of ´em! I dig the pianist too!!!
but does he like marmite flapjacks
IT' s THE HAT !!!!!
I can't stop thinking about the piano player's headphone-hairline conflict.
OH MY GOD LOL
`bout to say the same...
Why did you point that out...I can't stop laughing now!!!
haahahhahahahahahahahahaha
Looks like Art Garfunkels hair back in the 70's!!
A Bob Berg tune! Fantastic! And that drummer! Yes!
Amazing. Love the studio too. Hadrien is a phenomenal bassist.
Hadrien! une machine My favorite french bass player! The Mayones Feraud5 look amazing. And with a 20" radius! Cheers from Quebec !
Saw Hadrian and a band he happened to have years ago in a great venue near Old St and they were absolutely brilliant.
ok this dude killing it ! great sound !! its amazing how these three guys are in the pocket together on every note !!! i would pay to see these guys live !!
yeah me too. Hadrien is some poece of invention groove and his "toucher". Wow you guys want to be bass, saturday night at the Cad clib. Bon RIp🙏
The little solo part from 3:00 to 3:12 is so good
I came here for the instrument and stayed for the music. Holy smokes, these boys are on fire. Sound through headphones is extraordinary, I love this clip.

That Bass tone is beautiful and warm
These guys are all next level holy shit
Yeah, it just sound a little like shit. Three dudes who doesn't give each other room makes up for some very messy sound. I didn't look at the video to see what they did was impressive, I listened to it, and it sounded horrible!

Nuhuhuhuhu he isnt familiar with d jazz no doubt ...lol
@Stumble.Stop.Repeat I agree with you, they are professionals
Nuhuhuhuhu you must be new to this style
Is that Larry Fein from the original Three Stooges playing the Piano?
Feraud is a monster! Big influence!
Incredible HADRIEN!
FANTASTIC HADRIEN!
I Love the bass, and I love the jazz ... so, this is mind blowing!
SO DO I.
If there was ever a bass player’s equivalent of Mount Rushmore built, Feraud would surely be immortalised there!?!? Truly a bass god!
The drummer is amazing!!!!
Sounds like every good baptist church drummer ever.
really? @@Overqualified1
Marq Mac stop.
Damn good bassist, and I am in love with that bass it is so gorgeous
Some of the most musical soloing from this instrument I've ever heard
get out more !!... no ... really ...check out victor wooten vicor borg victor funkenstone ( yung fronk n steen )
Great version! Love the band! As always, Hadrien is amazing! Merci M. Feraud !
What's not to like about this video? That's what we call mad skills.
Purée ca arrache, wow, c est juste phénoménal, grand bravo et merci à vous
I can listen this all day no problem.. love it.. bass player 4 ever
Thank you jaco you uncovered a formula about the bass we can play and enjoy and not get bored of playing the bass. Jaco pastorious the greatest bass player of all time
I keep coming back to this video... specially to the part where Hadrien is doing his brilliant walking bass line...
That bass sounds like an upright!!! Wow!
SUPERB TRIO !!!! Funky walking bass !!
This is my kind of jazz, the drums are not as quiet as I usually Hear in...... well.. jazz!, and that bass is FABULOUS!!!
Marvelous jazz piece. Love you Hadrien
That is one helluva live drum sound! Great all around of course. Bravo lads.
Excellent! Very good... The best! Jaco is gone but left his children!
Holy cow, I've said basses sound like butter in the past, but I take it all back.... now THIS bass sounds like butter!!! So damn smooth! BEAUTIFUL!!!
great playing too, of course.... :)
This is a trio playing, not only Hadrien Feraud. It's disrespectful to not list all of their names, but Mayones does this over and over again.
G i see where youre coming from, but he is the endorsed member of the group, so thats probably why
But they did, it's in the description.
I added it now after I got the names from Mayones. My apologies for not having full credits in there from the beginning
No it's not BassTheWorld, it's Mayones, they did the same on the first video of the same trio. I knew it was Ruslan Sirota, the great pianist now based in LA, but the drummer's name remained a mystery after all these months since the first series of Jabba videos. Thanks Gregor.

Incredible sound juice powerful bass
Très bon bassiste. Les notes sont net et propres. Un vrai talent, ce bassiste. Belle musique de Jazz
This Drummer (Chaun D. Horton) and his drumsound are so incredible! John Bonham meets Peter Erskine meets the Sun!
@kenfontenot off and on belong together. ✌️
Pure awesome from everyone in this trio!
Oh my Feraud! This God is sooooooo good!
Glad I came across this brilliant video showing Hadrien's brilliant technique and articulation and sound 😳. Can't stop watching and listening to these amazing musicians and this fantastic tune !!
Thanks for putting this up 👍👍👍
Absolutely fantastic....three brilliant musicians at the top of their game
The mix on this is good I want to cry.
The magnets in his pick-ups are so big, one has a refrigerator on it.
OK, that's some funny shit right there! Took me a sec, but I'm still chuckling to myself.
That's excellent, and I am going to use it today.
😂‼️
It makes me happy to see him hold his bass like that. I'm a guitarist playing bass and every once in a while by accident I take it off my right leg and put it between them and hold it more up-right and I've been thinking it's a taboo thing.
Putting your guitar between the legs is the way you should play it, be it your bass or the downgraded 6-string/short-neck version of it :>
That was smooth as silk when the bass and keyboard just nice and softly eased into the killin sticking groove of the drummer. Yep, very nicely done. LOL 😝
Couldn’t bobbin my head and foot tapping on this. Love It. You cats are on-it.....
A couple of years ago Feraud said that he was transcribing Jeff Berlin a lot. Valuable time spending for sure.
The first time I heard Hadrien Feraud was a tune on Chick Corea's 'Ultimate Adventure'. Blew my mind. Then on Chick Corea's 'The Vigil'. Excellent recording Feraud's playing is incredible. that tone is gorgeous, oh my..
Jazz is a wonderful language. Walking bass parts make me smile and close my eyes like i am stupid... so good
ruslan, man...He's always spot on
Very rarely do musicians make me laugh cause they're so fuckin' good. This is one of those times.
3 amazing musicians.
Can't get enough of this, man
3:12 the drummer is playing hi-hats but you hear ride cymbal o.O
Good catch. They're all definitely capable of playing the piece, but what you hear definitely isn't what Chaun's playing there.
Usually they record the song and make a video clip as a playback. So, the video hasn't the original song.
@@henriqueagahdez what's weird is that I'm 100% sure Hadrien's solo is what he was playing in the video. Odd.
They probably recorded multiple takes and mix & matched the footage from different takes.
I could be totally wrong about this, but have we considered the possibility that he is in fact playing the hi-hat? Just in a way that makes it sound like a ride?
MAESTROOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The music, the playing the sounds, wow! Oh and a Lyle Mays hairstyle too 😀
I am proud that Hardien uses my M-BP3 preamp design here! No longer, produced since 2021.
amazing drums
Beautifully executed....awesome
Just exceptional playing from all three-amazing!
Actual sticks and this electric bass produce killer jazz tones. Better than brushes and upright bass
Done in such good taste...lively and nice!!
Great job fellas
Nice jam. Great playing. I do have to say that Hadrien's Ken Smith sounds much better than his Mayones
Hadrien is a BEAST!
Very sweet sounds. I'm in.
This is how Thor from The Avengers spends his down time when he's not helping save the world.
och70 and when falcon joins him on drums.
Larry, from the three stooges, at the piano
och70 and Loki's somewhere watching thrash metal concert
och70 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂😂
It's more like captain America
Monster!!
Wonderful. That shuffle feel, the bass sound, improvisation, theme... all. Great, as always.
Finally a well balanced trio that makes jazz matter again..
The craftsmanship of each one of them!😳😳😳
Ruslan Sirota / Piano & Chaun Horton / Drums
These Gentlemen can play!! LOVELY Stuff!! See you in Montreal hopefully!! Peace brothers
I can see Hadrien trying to really connect but the drummer is extremely tight in the groove. They all are!
BEST VIDEO ON RUclips !!!!
This is so wonderful..
Now, THIS is GOOD stuff right here!!!😎👌👍❤
It's a very cool performance.
Pure SKILLS
AMAZING PLAYING!
Reminds me of Weather Report‘s Rock around the clock.
Hadrien is awesome! Love his playing.
My thoughts as well..he sure can walk it like Jaco..❤
What album is it from? I can't find it...
Jau, man kann ja nicht immer John Denver hören ... hier eine wunderbare Abwechelung, super gespielt, toll gemacht, höre es gerne, weiter so ... !!!
Didn't know Bradley Cooper has such skill playing bass
top bass
Fantastic!!!
totally rendered speechless way freakin cool!!
Clean execution
Great Performance Men ! Congratulations !
The best !!!!
Very nice ! Thanks
Wow. I've not seen a twenty four fret bass before. It's huge.
Ughh love the tone
Amazing ...
Wonderful
fab performance
what combo he used? no effects, just EQ? Or just guitars preamp is so good?
I dig the thick pillowy bottom end and it could just be how Hadrien has it eq or how its mixed, but it lacks a lot of mid clarity. Blazing track by all 3 though. Ruslan and Chaun are beasts.
