Extra Tips: A pack of Megaladons will help you kill any Alphas. You ride a Basilo though so you don't get grabbed. A good saddle will also help! Smaller fish can be killed with a pike in the water so you then just fish out the big ones Fenced off areas with a gate where you can lure fish in maybe by punching one will make it easier to catch them. This game would be good if it would be CONAN EXILE level, but instead nothing is finished ...... combat programming is not finished , jumping, collision physics , even basic physics ... it's all very early in this game to ask 40 EUR on steam is arrogant considering the state the game is in.

Easy way to get a rod for me was I’m on a boosted server allows turrets on plat saddles or is that a norm either way put a gen on top of pleesy along with 4+ turrets descent amount of bullets then hunt for tuso. Note if you use turrets and generator you can only turn on above water! You can turn off either above or below.
For some reason when I go to ice cave none of the salmon are moving in the water. I've sat there for 15 minutes straight with honey and they didnt bite. I don't know how to fix this so if anyone figures it out let me know!

So try good ole fashioned population control and return after they respawn. I only get mats from fishing. Some sparking powder ,obsiden,fur,metal,metal ingots, prime fish and meat,flint,rare flowers some ashes etc.Great varity of mats but no bps. EDIT: nm,after few more rounds I did start getting some bps

It's not that easy. I have spent weeks trying to get that fishing rod. the amount of time I spent prepping and searching for it I bet I would had got more blueprints just farming drops in the snow bio.
Run the redwood cave with the poison and all the bugs. With a good frog you get tons of cementing paste as a cheeky bonus too. Ran it just fine with 3 primitive scuba gear outfits and a couple dozen med brews my first run on ascended, immediately found an ascended rex bp 1st run. There also happens to be a crazy good fishing spot along the river near it, there's an isolated pond of sorts just ruddled with saber tooth salmon if you want to test out fishing in between runs. I found a 3.1x salmon, waited like 30 mins with 500% asc rod with honey & it didn't bite. I just wasted a lot of time a the durability of the rod! Fking ark mechanics.
Ark is full of exploits remove the trees the rocks the water and your PC will run fine, and you can see other players Ez use INI Ez Kill in PvP no one can hide from you and you can use meshing and exploits to make dinos breed faster😋😛🤑🤑🤑😝

You can actually use Pelagornis in the cave if you have building disabled 😅

Killed a lv5 alpha tuso yesterday on official pve asa and got an ascendant fishing pole with 454% effectiveness. Definitely look for alpha tusos.

It works but you can’t keep jamming the attack button, you have to click once, wait till the hit marker fades, then click once again.

If you can get a good rod then yes blueprints are decent. Looking for 300% effectiveness + Journeyman & above.

Alpha Tusos are guaranteed. If your dino weight is more than 50% sometimes the Tuso or Mosa will drop a bag instead

Simetimes the smaller ones only give you resources, past a certain size you should always get some BPs.
How did you get over 5k melee on a Basilo?
Friend's server has boosed stats on the dinos. Definitely best usually to take a pack of sharks with the Basilo or an inprinted Mosasaur.

Size and type of fish does matter and then there is the rod and bait issue.
