If anyone is wondering what crates drop what Loot I previously made this video here which showcases all loot found in each supply beacon and cave crate ruclips.net/video/XNxR5gRE43Y/видео.html After dying 5 times trying to showcase the snow cave on foot and with creatures that only fit through the small entrance I gave up on it being good for farming due to its difficulty, it does however drop some of the BEST loot in the red crates which is comparable to the Swamp Cave and The 2 Underwater Caves, it also drops saddles like Therizino and Yutyrannus more often than other methods, you can most likely try raising larger creatures like a Rex or Yuty in the large part of the entrance and should be able to have full access to the first 2 large rooms at least. When I finally get around to tackling this cave i'm going to raise a baby Yuty in the entrance of the cave hoping that will make it easier to run through with it's ability to fear roar. Would like to know how everyone has been running the hard Snow Cave and if they think this strat will work? XD
sadly yuty dies quick.., the best method is to run with 2 barys, one keep whistling to be in front, so purlovias attack him, and then you killing them. that works best for me, never died.
You must have very strong Bary's? I did do it with a Yuty in the end, I just fear roared everything then use the pump action to easily kill everything with the debuff as it does a load of damage XD@@eligijuspranskunas3509

One thing to add about swamp cave, if you don't have access to a gas mask, a Full set of Scuba works (you have to wear all 4 pieces, even flippers) Works on Official
It's crap though, everything just gets destroyed so easily :( It works if you don't get it shot off lol but it's highly unlikely, have to take a lot of spares, absolute nightmare, I always wait until I can make a gasmask tbh, it's actually less hassle :D

The Gasmask trick is awesome, I didn't believe it was true until I tested it out by standing naked infront of 5 Arthros on a high ledge letting them shoot me, shot me like 50 times and I lost no dura! Crazy! Awesome video as always mate! You deserve so many more subs for content this good!
May I suggest bringing a pack of mutated and imprinted baryonix to aid your basilo. It's useful because you can hop on a bary to run the above water sections
I used to bring a huge pack of Baryonyx to these caves but Wildcard broke the Barys AI and they stick to the ground instead of swimming up which makes it a bit frustrating but their stun ability and quick heal on consuming fish makes the ideal for underwater caves. killing an alpha mosa with a group works fine too. good saddles are a bonus of course.
Also if you are singleplayer or on a private server you can breed a megatherium for the swamp cave! (Just put the baby on follow in and raise it in the first room after clearing it) It’s amazing for Chitin as well to get lots of Cementing Paste and it can go mostly everywhere :D You might get not be able to go through the first turn to the left after the first hallway, but placing a foundation there fixes that!

Yeah it seems difficult to find certain saddle locations in this game, I've seen both Theri saddles and Yuty saddles in red land beacons, and a lot in the hard snow cave red drops...Hard snow cave seems to be best for both, but ofcourse that cave is really difficult to farm, If you could somehow breed a baby high level Yuty in the cave entrance and raise it there it could potentially be able to get you through the worst of the cave with it's fear roar! That cave is difficult without cryos!
For early farms you can go into the other snow cave and most of the times you don't even need to fight anything, 1 drop, either yellow or red and spawns pretty quickly back. In and out, just set up a small house to keep you warm when needed and to fast travel to every now and then to grab the loot. Put loot in a chest and pick it up later on. Grappling hook is not neccesary but is recomended

Nothing spawns properly on Single Player XD....You can leave the game before going inside and rejoin and sometimers that fixes the spawns, or just hang around the area for like half an hour :(
If you do swamp cave with gasmask, dont wear any other armor. Arthos wont break your gas mask as long as it hits your body. This will hurt so bring med brews. Once you get knowlodge of the layout, you can skip most mobs by jumping over them with frog.
lol did my run last night in redwood cave. Make sure your prepared at least a few masks. Arthys if they hit will break mask in one spit. Plenty of CP and chitin with toad. Water cave is deadly also basil is a must.
For some reason if you have over 1000 seconds of rare flower buff the purlovia won't dismount you so eat like 400 and have some for the way out I managed to die several times and get my bag and saddle for one bary that didn't make it rip redacted
If you have the cryopod mod on, you can bring the megatherium into the swamp cave. They’ll fit in most areas in the cave, they just don’t fit in that first entrance hole. Once you get them in there, even a low level on will shred through everything and walk out barely haven taken damage.
Another very simple way to get a good fishing rod is to use the upgrade station mod. All u have to do is get the resources and upgrade it. In so save I made an ascendant 225% pump action shotgun, but then a Lego stole it 😭😭😭😭
If you keep the rare flower buff on while in the snow cave with the oversized badgers, they wont stun you when they jump out. That with a good bary that has a good saddle (masterwork+) and the sporadic fish pools for a quick regen (barry heals big chunks of health when u kill fish) its actually the easiest cave(so long as you keep the aforementioned rare flowers buff up, do a swamp run with a therizinosaur and bring 200+ flowers into the cave)
I don’t play console but this video was recorded on my old PC! I had to buy a better PC to record videos for this game! tbh in console defence I have also played it on Xbox Series X and it surprisingly runs very well!
Each to their own I guess XD...I'd probably only do that with a very strong Baryonyx and saddle, I'd prefer to have a shotgun to shoot the Arthros, not really practical eating Arthros and taking damage when you can avoid all that reflective damage by just killing them with your shottie instead 🤣plus I take the shotgun round with me everywhere I go, most important weapon to carry in my opinion!
I was using a Megatherium after Cryos were added but I went in there recently and where my Megatherium could fit through before, wouldn't fit through any more, after the first tunnel It wouldn't fit past the first left turn, when did you last run the cave? I was pretty shocked when it wouldn't fit :P
Hey, not OP, but I can help you out. Rarity *kind of* matters, but it's mostly just a general indicator of quality. Green -> Blue -> Purple -> Yellow -> Teal is how you usually get better quality loot, but it's not a super strict rule, and sometimes you can get, for example, Masterwork stuff that's better than some Ascendant. I suspect that this could be because several things are increased by better quality at once: DMG% on weapons and armor on armor, AND durability. Sometimes you can get higher quality equipment that has absolutely silly amounts of durability and not a huge amount of DMG% or armor, as if it was a wild dino with most of its points in not the best stats. Likewise, you could loot lower quality weapons with higher damage and not a lot of durability. Why this matters is because crafting & repair costs go up significantly the higher quality your items, and it's another reason why lower quality is sometimes better. Say, you're farming for saddles for your boss dinos. A 120 or 150 armor Ascendant blueprint is definitely much, MUCH better than something like a 80 armor Journeyman (contrary to what some people might tell you), but it also costs probably 4-5 the amount of materials to craft, and in reality, you could kill the alpha bosses with the 80 armor saddles as well, if you've bred and leveled your dinos well, so in this case, lower quality might actually be "better." Same goes for weapons/armor on a smaller scale, although I do usually like to craft the best Longneck/Pump-action Shotgun/Sword I can find, because they're one time things. Still, worth looking out for how the stats are spread between DMG/armor and durability. For armor, I like a lot of durability so it doesn't break instantly if I'm attacked, even if it absorbs a bit less damage. For weapons, it's pretty hit or miss, high DMG melee weapons and shotguns are great because use don't use them a lot, just in emergencies, and it's absolutely clutch if it does a ton of damage in a cinch. For longnecks, if you shoot a lot, you kinda want some balance, because durability is also nice to have, just not if you have to sacrifice a lot of damage for it. Anyway, sorry for the long-winded answer, but it was kind of a loaded question :D If you need any other help, just let me know.
Perfect answer right above so saves me answering in detail XD...my personal quick opinion...I always check the stats of the items, loot quality is very random, you can find Journeyman items that can be far better than Ascendant. So I always check the stats, durability is also an important factor for armour and weapons, not just the damage and armour rating, Ascendant items can be very expensive to craft, which is the downside to the higher quality but you can still find high quality journeyman and mastercraft items of the same quality of Ascendant and they will naturally be cheaper to make. So when you find items like that you know you're on to a winner :D
The snow cave seems an interesting challenge. Great advice for the swamp cave, I use all that stuff, some soups and antidote to heal rabies. Great work Bey, thumbs up.
They were still bad when I checked a couple of weeks ago, still finding mostly apprentice stuff from them including Cloth gear XD so I never bother picking them up and just visit the underwater caves for loot
Haha I think it's like that for a lot of people right now, I just ran that cave with some friends and we brought 9 Megalodon's with 17k health and 700 melee, with good saddles. A Basilosaurus and Baryonyx both with good saddles and pretty decent stats...Probably had to kill a few Mosas, 2 Alpha Megs, about 50-70 Megalodons, and the rest of stuff that spawns in there XD. luckily we managed to split the Megs up and fight 10-15 max at once, we handled it all okay but honestly it's ridiculous how hard that cave is because of the overspawn, definitely not the 'easy' underwater cave anymore haha!
Was also a load more Sharks inside the walls outside the water by the artifact too and they were plus 8 mate boosted, luckily they couldn't get out of the wall ha!
never use fishing to get blueprints...it's absolutely not worth it, it's been over 1000 years old and needs to be improved and updated with such a convoluted system, it should produce the best blueprints in the game!
It's not ideal but it is still the only way to find decent Gasmask blueprints, I personally don't like fishing and would rather spend my time running the caves but a lot of people do have good fortune fishing, I just don't have the patience for it!
It's just easier to run swamp cave with a megatherium and bug buff. No reason to have to take a shotgun and waste ammo. Arthros can't hit you if the mega is standing, but it can when the mega bends over when you're moving. Take a frog if you need cp obviously and it might be best to shotgun and medbrew with a gas mask in this case because the arthros can hit you on the frog.
Yes it's more viable now, I still personally just take a frog because of CP! But when I made this video a Megatherium wasn't ideal as there's no Cryopods in the game at the time so only way to use one for the cave was to breed one in the entrance XD which isn't ideal for a lot of players haha.
Can you do Xbox mod showcases for things like primal chaos and custom Dino levels. I don’t understand the Dino levels work and nothing on my map in spawning over 115
i often wonder why west water cave is considered easy.... east side you can typically avoid the dunkys unless an alpha is in, then i just kite the alpha out and fight him on my own. west side if theres and alpha mosa 250+? ....good luck
The thing is the alpha Mosa's get stuck in the cave easily and can't move so it can make them easy to skip or even kill if you have the time XD...I don't know, I swear the Dunkies in the cave have a much wider aggro radius than they do in ASE plus there's the rest of the stuff that you have to avoid, maybe if you are using something quick to avoid them? I just find it easier to brute force through everything with a pack of Megs :D
Well when I tested the Deep Sea Loot ones the loot was terrible haha, they will probably update it at some point though, I was finding cloth armour in Deep Sea Loot crates XD
The Land beacons were dropping some pretty nuts stuff up until recently, alas, I just had an inventory bug and lost some ascended armour and a bunch of ammo .-.
The best creature to take in there is a Megatherium and frog. The Megatherium gets a damage boost when killing bugs that is the best creature to take in there.
Yeah I take either one of those! This video was made before Cryos even existed but ofcourse still need to have a cryofridge placed nearby to use, I usually just use a frog but Baryonyx is still ideal if not wanting to worry about cryoing stuff
It's definitely a tough cave to run, what I did was breed a strong Yutyrannus in the cave entrance, can't run it quickly but it definitely makes it far easier XD...Yuty has pretty good access to most of the cave once inside!
Every drop is different, not all red crates are the same, for example...you can find all those items in both underwater caves in the blue, yellow and red drops...whereas in most caves only the red crates will drop that type of loot, I do have a separate video posted in the pinned comment that show in detail what you can find in every drop in each cave/and every land beacon.
Damn that must have been a lucky find, i'm yet to find one yet! At least it's all in the same video hey haha, that was the cave crate I would have expected to see a fishing rod if any!
Bad advice on the surface drops. Red drops on the surface are GARBAGE now. You get crap like Polymer, Electronics, maybe some Fabbed Sniper Rifles from time to time...
Only because it can't fit through the entrance, It can be bred inside the first bit of the cave but honestly still unsure if it has full access to the entire cave like the Baryonyx and Beelzebufo do, so much more beneficial taking a Beelzebufo though due to the amount of Cement paste you come out with!
I've found standard saddles in the red land beacons, unfortunately hard snow cave red crates are the likeliest place to find the Quetz platform saddles :( (The honourable mention)
Is my game bugged? I don't get a creatures and tribute tab on any land drops at all. Is there a setting that enables that feature or is it not on single player mode?
@@BEYPlaysGames found the answer for anyone curious. You cannot upload and download items through supply crates and caches on single player mode. I was going bonkers trying to figure it out lol.
Raasclark discovered a glitch where you can get an infinite red crate glitch in the swamp cave. Id go watch his video called “Opening 100 loot crates in Ark Survival Ascended” to learn how to pull it off
I've already seen it XD, it's not even a glitch, it's normally a thing you can do in Single Player assuming he is playing SP, if you log out in certain areas in caves the drops will instantly respawn! Worked the same way in ASE too :)

So quick question, I’m still learning the game and was wondering does rarity matter or is it just damage/armor percentage? How do I know what’s good?
Hey, not OP, but I can help you out. Rarity *kind of* matters, but it's mostly just a general indicator of quality. Green -> Blue -> Purple -> Yellow -> Teal is how you usually get better quality loot, but it's not a super strict rule, and sometimes you can get, for example, Masterwork stuff that's better than some Ascendant.
I suspect that this could be because several things are increased by better quality at once: DMG% on weapons and armor on armor, AND durability. Sometimes you can get higher quality equipment that has absolutely silly amounts of durability and not a huge amount of DMG% or armor, as if it was a wild dino with most of its points in not the best stats. Likewise, you could loot lower quality weapons with higher damage and not a lot of durability.
Why this matters is because crafting & repair costs go up significantly the higher quality your items, and it's another reason why lower quality is sometimes better. Say, you're farming for saddles for your boss dinos. A 120 or 150 armor Ascendant blueprint is definitely much, MUCH better than something like a 80 armor Journeyman (contrary to what some people might tell you), but it also costs probably 4-5 the amount of materials to craft, and in reality, you could kill the alpha bosses with the 80 armor saddles as well, if you've bred and leveled your dinos well, so in this case, lower quality might actually be "better."
Same goes for weapons/armor on a smaller scale, although I do usually like to craft the best Longneck/Pump-action Shotgun/Sword I can find, because they're one time things. Still, worth looking out for how the stats are spread between DMG/armor and durability. For armor, I like a lot of durability so it doesn't break instantly if I'm attacked, even if it absorbs a bit less damage. For weapons, it's pretty hit or miss, high DMG melee weapons and shotguns are great because use don't use them a lot, just in emergencies, and it's absolutely clutch if it does a ton of damage in a cinch.
For longnecks, if you shoot a lot, you kinda want some balance, because durability is also nice to have, just not if you have to sacrifice a lot of damage for it.

Perfect answer right above so saves me answering in detail XD...my personal quick opinion...I always check the stats of the items, loot quality is very random, you can find Journeyman items that can be far better than Ascendant. So I always check the stats, durability is also an important factor for armour and weapons, not just the damage and armour rating, Ascendant items can be very expensive to craft, which is the downside to the higher quality but you can still find high quality journeyman and mastercraft items of the same quality of Ascendant and they will naturally be cheaper to make. So when you find items like that you know you're on to a winner :D

Underwater drops are obsolete now besides the easy and hard uw?
They were still bad when I checked a couple of weeks ago, still finding mostly apprentice stuff from them including Cloth gear XD so I never bother picking them up and just visit the underwater caves for loot
I must have had really bad luck with the easy water cave lmao it was filled to the brim with megs and 1 alpha with 3 mosa and 1 alpha
Haha I think it's like that for a lot of people right now, I just ran that cave with some friends and we brought 9 Megalodon's with 17k health and 700 melee, with good saddles. A Basilosaurus and Baryonyx both with good saddles and pretty decent stats...Probably had to kill a few Mosas, 2 Alpha Megs, about 50-70 Megalodons, and the rest of stuff that spawns in there XD. luckily we managed to split the Megs up and fight 10-15 max at once, we handled it all okay but honestly it's ridiculous how hard that cave is because of the overspawn, definitely not the 'easy' underwater cave anymore haha!
Was also a load more Sharks inside the walls outside the water by the artifact too and they were plus 8 mate boosted, luckily they couldn't get out of the wall ha!
never use fishing to get blueprints...it's absolutely not worth it, it's been over 1000 years old and needs to be improved and updated with such a convoluted system, it should produce the best blueprints in the game!
It's not ideal but it is still the only way to find decent Gasmask blueprints, I personally don't like fishing and would rather spend my time running the caves but a lot of people do have good fortune fishing, I just don't have the patience for it!
It's just easier to run swamp cave with a megatherium and bug buff. No reason to have to take a shotgun and waste ammo. Arthros can't hit you if the mega is standing, but it can when the mega bends over when you're moving. Take a frog if you need cp obviously and it might be best to shotgun and medbrew with a gas mask in this case because the arthros can hit you on the frog.
Yes it's more viable now, I still personally just take a frog because of CP! But when I made this video a Megatherium wasn't ideal as there's no Cryopods in the game at the time so only way to use one for the cave was to breed one in the entrance XD which isn't ideal for a lot of players haha.

i often wonder why west water cave is considered easy.... east side you can typically avoid the dunkys unless an alpha is in, then i just kite the alpha out and fight him on my own. west side if theres and alpha mosa 250+? ....good luck
The thing is the alpha Mosa's get stuck in the cave easily and can't move so it can make them easy to skip or even kill if you have the time XD...I don't know, I swear the Dunkies in the cave have a much wider aggro radius than they do in ASE plus there's the rest of the stuff that you have to avoid, maybe if you are using something quick to avoid them? I just find it easier to brute force through everything with a pack of Megs :D

Well when I tested the Deep Sea Loot ones the loot was terrible haha, they will probably update it at some point though, I was finding cloth armour in Deep Sea Loot crates XD

The Land beacons were dropping some pretty nuts stuff up until recently, alas, I just had an inventory bug and lost some ascended armour and a bunch of ammo .-.

The best creature to take in there is a Megatherium and frog. The Megatherium gets a damage boost when killing bugs that is the best creature to take in there.
Yeah I take either one of those! This video was made before Cryos even existed but ofcourse still need to have a cryofridge placed nearby to use, I usually just use a frog but Baryonyx is still ideal if not wanting to worry about cryoing stuff

It's definitely a tough cave to run, what I did was breed a strong Yutyrannus in the cave entrance, can't run it quickly but it definitely makes it far easier XD...Yuty has pretty good access to most of the cave once inside!

what type of crate drops fabricated shotgun pistol bow and sniper? Only reds?
Every drop is different, not all red crates are the same, for example...you can find all those items in both underwater caves in the blue, yellow and red drops...whereas in most caves only the red crates will drop that type of loot, I do have a separate video posted in the pinned comment that show in detail what you can find in every drop in each cave/and every land beacon.

In the swamp cave in a red crate i loot a ascendant fishing rod blueprint so you can have fishing rod to :)

Only because it can't fit through the entrance, It can be bred inside the first bit of the cave but honestly still unsure if it has full access to the entire cave like the Baryonyx and Beelzebufo do, so much more beneficial taking a Beelzebufo though due to the amount of Cement paste you come out with!

Is my game bugged? I don't get a creatures and tribute tab on any land drops at all. Is there a setting that enables that feature or is it not on single player mode?

Raasclark discovered a glitch where you can get an infinite red crate glitch in the swamp cave. Id go watch his video called “Opening 100 loot crates in Ark Survival Ascended” to learn how to pull it off
I've already seen it XD, it's not even a glitch, it's normally a thing you can do in Single Player assuming he is playing SP, if you log out in certain areas in caves the drops will instantly respawn! Worked the same way in ASE too :)
