WWII Vet’s Emotional Reunion With Young Pen Pal Who Became Army Private

U.S. Army Private Deshauna wrote a letter in the third grade to WWII veteran Frank, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He replied to her letter with a feather from his "angels" to protect her. Frank kept the letter close to his heart ever since and looked for his special pen pal for 12 years - and the two meet for the first time on the show today! Deshauna now wears the same uniform Frank once did, and their emotional Veterans Day reunion is beyond sweet.

She doesn't have pictures on her social media. Important for so many soldiers to remember that. When I went in we weren't allowed to have all those pics in uniform and you would be in trouble if you were acting foolish on social media. We have become naive and comfortable not in war.
