❤❤thank you so much sis for this tutorial. I'm making memory bear from my moms clothes. I bought the pattern from Amazon. But your instructions were easy for me to make this bear.
Loved this intro video to making a memory bear and all the detailed and visual friendly steps to begin!! Also love the idea of a bigger 22 inch bear-although I may search to find the discontinued pattern :)
I just found your video. Im so glad I found this. I have the same pattern that was discontinued. Looking at the pattern to me its over my head. I am a visual learner and hands on. Thank you so much. Stay safe out in this crazy world. I saved you to my favs list.
I am so glad it was helpful. They do have a video of making that bear on RUclips; I don't know if you had a chance to check it out. Thanks so much for watching, and I hope you enjoy my channel!
Thank you for your question. The pattern that I use has been discontinued, but I got it from MakeAMemoryBear on Etsy. Hopefully you can find a pattern that works for you. Thanks for watching!
Did you use a 1/4” seam? I want a pattern that is free! Hehehe Holey Moley! What size shirt is that? I always s e buttons and zippers, just I case I need one in the future.
Thanks for your question. Most of the pattern does call for a 1/4" seam. I would prefer a free pattern as well, but I feel like the money is worth it because I can reuse the pattern, and I don't have to cut out the paper pieces each time. I think the shirt is a large, but I don't remember. Thanks for watching!
I want to know how do you add the collar or other details n the bear like the button placket down the front. Also, why do I have an issue with the iron on interfacing from pellon not sticking or it seems to peel up when sewing.
Thank you for your question. I have a video where I go into more detail about the collar. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/S7A2FmPeS14/видео.html For the interfacing, I was struggling with this as well, but I had more success when I started using a damp pressing cloth to fuse the interfacing. I had to actually read the directions LOL. It takes a long time this way, but definitely worth it. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your question. I cut the fabric folded. I had to be a little careful because it was thick; a sharp pair of scissors is a necessity. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for your question. I interfaced the fabric before I pin down the pattern pieces. I usually do a rough layout of the pieces before I add the interfacing so that I don't have to use all of the shirt. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your question. My clients purchase the patches that they want. I think most of the time they are from Etsy shops. Thank you for watching!
I couldn't find any at our Dollar Tree's but I did find a 10 pack of clear plastic sheets of plastic at Hobby Lobby in the sewing dept. It also works great.
Thank you for your question. You will have to make sure that your pattern is for a newborn shirt. The patterns that I use are geared toward larger items. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Question did u flip the pieces or cut fabric folded?
Thanks for your question. I cut the fabric folded. I had to be a little careful because it was thick; a sharp pair of scissors is a necessity. Thank you for watching!
So the interfacing goes on the paper n not the material?
Thank you for your question. I interfaced the fabric before I pin down the pattern pieces. I usually do a rough layout of the pieces before I add the interfacing so that I don't have to use all of the shirt. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

You can buy plastic cutting mats at doodle tree for tracing your patterns on. So much easier then paper and they last a long time 😬
Great tip! Thank you for sharing.
