This was so easy to follow ahhhh thank you!!! Fixed up my gigantic turtle stuffy. You are the absolute best I started making art dolls and have never picked up a sewing needle a day in my life 🤦🏻 this was a clear tutorial I subscribed to you!
Thank you for this! I tried a ladder stitch for the first time yesterday and didn't do very well. I'm going to follow your tutorial next time, and practice lots!
Just wanted to give a big "Thank You!" to you for making and sharing this video with us! The gentle pace and camera angles made this very do-able for a sewing beginner like me, and I really appreciate having this skill to repair some plush - thanks again! :D
Thanks so much for posting an easy to follow guide for this stitch. I just discovered that my favorite build-a-bear wasn’t stitched up properly the last time I had him worked on and the stitching that was put in place has come undone somehow (I’m not rough with my stuffed animals so idk how this managed to happen other than poor stitching). He’s got a big hole in the back of his head now and at this point I’d rather just fix him myself then go through the process of bringing him all the way back to the store again. I’m a beginner with sewing though so this is extremely helpful as I wasn’t sure how I was going to make sure the stitching was invisible.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!!.. I am fairly new to sewing, less than a year, completely Self/You Tube (from wonderful tutorials like yours), taught this will come in handy big time!!.. I appreciate, more than you know, you sharing your experience and knowledge with us :) Happy Valentines Day!!
Thanks I just added more stuffing to our Mario mushroom. My stitches aren’t very neat as a total noob but it’s good enough. Looks much better now. Thanks again. Alan (Coventry, England)
Thank you so much! Now my Geoff looks good as new! This way my 1st successful ladder stitch & you're the only one who I could understand about the stitch. Thank you again & I will be subscribing.- KrissyMcD
Thank you for this! I've watched so many videos where they try to make it as invisible as possible and it's really hard to see what they're actually doing.
I'm refurbishing Jacko chimp (chad valley) my sewing has always been bad. Looks easy to follow how you are doing it. Have you any videos of mending vintage toys?
Had to watch this again since I did not do the stitch correctly. But got it right now. BTW- where do you get the labels that I see you put on your bears?
In this video about .46 way through, near the beginning ....u show the back of a bear...red color fabric back and top of its head, to the left looks like a patch or label?
I'm not understanding the last question, but as I right now I don't use labels in anything I make. I don't try to sell handmade on a regular basis, so labels just aren't important to me.
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen so far! The angle is perfect too!
So glad you liked it!
Thank you for this video. Finally an angle that shows the actual stitching process!
This was so easy to follow ahhhh thank you!!! Fixed up my gigantic turtle stuffy.

This is great! One of the best tutorials I’ve seen. I especially love the trick of closing the stitch.
Thank you for the step by step. This helped me out a lot. Finally conquered my first ladder stitch.
Thank you so much for making it look so easy and explaining it so well! ☺️
Thank you, I was looking for a tutorial on fixing my daughters stuffed skunkie, and this is exactly what I needed.

Thanks great video. And thanks for saying it’s ok not to be perfect. I put a lot of pressure on my sewing to be perfect and it rarely is lol
¡Muchas gracias! Ahora he aprendido a hacerlo!!!

No, I don't have any videos about working on vintage toys.
Thanks, great job
Thanks for your videos! :)
hey I'm really new to sewing so sorry if this is a stupid question but if the bears over stuffed why can't you just take out some of the stuffing?
Excellent
Great video. Thank you
You're welcome! Glad you like it!
Whitney...do you have a tutorial on how to sew so e britches on the memory bear? ❤️
Check you the playlist linked in the video's description box. All of my memory bear videos are there :)
could you do a ladder stitch for the whole plush or is it better to use another one
I would recommend it only for closing up the stuffing holes.
Had to watch this again since I did not do the stitch correctly. But got it right now. BTW- where do you get the labels that I see you put on your bears?
My bears don't have labels
In this video about .46 way through, near the beginning ....u show the back of a bear...red color fabric back and top of its head, to the left looks like a patch or label?
@@theeyesehaveit That is the carhart tag that was originally on the shirt I cut up and used for the bear.
Was there a vest to go with this bear? Thank you!
I've never made the vest from the pattern. Just don't care for the look of it.
Please can you tell me which interfacing you use please an thank you ps I have learn so from you

Great closer. Do you put a label on the bears. Where do you get your labels? Or do you make your own?
No, I don't put labels. I don't feel comfortable marketing myself on something that is so special and made from a loved ones clothing.
Whitney Sews yes I agree. However what about just making the bears or other projects that memories?
I'm not understanding the last question, but as I right now I don't use labels in anything I make. I don't try to sell handmade on a regular basis, so labels just aren't important to me.
Hi love have just been given a simplicity patten 8155 and can’t understand the feet can you help please many thanks
Does this work for craft felt?
I haven't tried it with felt.
What size are your nose and eyes on the bear
They are listed in the video description box of my how to sew a memory bear tutorial
