Thank you for beginning to touch on this topic! As a student, it has often perplexed & frustrated me not knowing why the sound I make on my violin does not even come close to the sound I hear made by a professional. I know years of practice, great teachers & experience make a difference, but knowing how so many different elements (for example bowing, vibrato & timing, to name a few) come together to make a beautiful sound is a start.
Thanks so much for this :-) Can't wait for the continuation of this video - and, of course, the suspense will be killing me while waiting for the advice on intonation, that hugely important topic ;-) But in the meantime there's lots to go on in items 1-4...
