Best breakdown ever with example setup! 👍🏽
I've been having this microphone for about 1 year now. One year on Twitch just cannot believe it!. The microphone is amazing and my viewers say my voice is clear. The software is a big help!
The sound is pretty good, great enhancement !! Thx to share.
Loving the vids recently keep up the good work!
Would really love a budget mic shootout after discovering this channel, really great content
Great mic I was gonna pick it up but got the yeti nano yesterday as a gift ! For my first microphone that’s not on a headset I’m definitely happy with it.
Noice
Thanks! Good review. I have the NT USB Mini as well as the VideoMic NTG. I work from home in a call centre roll and got tired of the crappy headsets. So hooked up the NTUSB and Røde Connect and it gives me the tools to manage my calls, record calls if I need to, mute the mic, and use my Beyerdynamic DT990 (comfortable) and my customers love the “radio voice”. The audio adjustments do help, particularly if you have a very deep voice that can get muddy. Good suggestions back to Røde as well! Now… I would like to the VideoMic NTG support added to Røde Connect as well!
I love that companies like RØDE and Elgato are listening to users and making awesome solutions for streamers. What do you think? Is there a better option for less than $100?
The price is similiar with wave 1 in my country. Dont know which one better
I like my samson mic
I like that Rode and Elgato have a software because it means they can add more features later. This is a great entry level mic and doesnt break the bank.
Wave Link supports multiple microphones. I use it with a Wave3, a Blue Yeti, and a lapel mic all at the same time. You just have to add that source into the mixer.
I would love to see that you can add other rode microphones in this application instead of only this microphone! Maybe they will add this in the future 🙏🏼
Sounds alright with all the processing. I guess the level control is the one thing you can use to tune the whole thing a little. It is quite convenient.
I feel so bad that it is just now that I discovered your channel. You have amazing contents! How about the best affordable podcast microphone?
Hello sir, Thanks for your great videos
I have a question, please
Should I write my RUclips video title in my native language if my content is in my native language?
I have one, and its awesome.
That was a great video and it's an amazing and very affordable mini mic.
If you don't mind me asking,
Can you please give a link or explain a bit more about the Shotgun mic that you're using in this RUclips video?
I love the sound quality - If you can make a video about this mic that you're using and show how you get the audio to be that perfect - that will be very appreciated.
Thank you in advance and for your amazing videos - love your channel.
*QUESTION:* How does Hollow RUclips channel's Facecam have a matte soft vignette finish, and also curved on all 4 sides? How to do that in OBS?
The price is similiar with elgato wave 1 in my country. Which one you prefer for streamer? Thanks for the vid btw!
is the blue yeti better?
Is there any option to edit voice recording in this software? Like if I want to trim some portion of the voice audio, will I able to do that?
How is possible to update the firmware? I try with app but after start appear update failed.
There is a manual update to update the mic?
While i love the new features of Rode Connect its got some issues. not being able to start when the PC starts is one of them. When the PC starts it reads the Rode as a standard USB Mic, when you run connect it now routes through a virtual mic, if you forget to run connect and you have a program like OBS looking for that virtual mic it never sees it. I have seen my PC bug out multiple times because it gets confused between what mic to actually work with. if connect would start with your pc and live in the tray like Elgatos software does then all of this could be avoided.
better option is the marantz pod pack 1, its a condenser mic for £40 that includes a boom arm. spend some time learning mic technique (not u cube) and it will sound better than anything you place on your desk and lessen issues with room acoustics too.
what if you use voice changer? would that work with the rode software?
Does this also work with the regular rode nt?
Have ordered one of these from amazon due to arrive tomorrow so i am super excited. Its an upgrade for my blue snowball. Just a little concerned that the lack of additional virtual channels may cause me some issues as i stream Xbox gameplay through an elgato hd60s capture card to my PC then through OBS. I am sure i will be able to figure it out but like you said in the video adding additional virtual channels to the software cant be that tough for future updates!!
Is it good? Like for recording and things like that?
@@OzzersOz yes it's a great mic, nice and compact but the build quality is excellent. Sounds great with very little tweaking. I use it for streaming and have recorded podcasts with it. Would highly recommend.
@@valiantmike7210 hi can you share the particular podcast that you use this mic with? I also intend to use it for podcast. Many thanks.
@@jhowie sorry i replied to this straight after you asked the question but my reply doesn't seem to be showing. My podcast is called Heroes and Hot Nuts and can be found on spotify. I was only able to do 2 episodes before things got in the way. My co-presenters voice is through discord so only use my voice as reference for the mic quality. 👍
@@valiantmike7210 sorry to be asking questions i checked out your podcast and i think you should do more. Sound quality was good. Have you activated all the effects in Rode Connect? Compression, Noise Gate, Aphex?
How does compare to a dedicated mixer?
HI GAMING CAREERS I WOULD THANKU FOR HELPING US FOR LIVESTREAMING AND I WANTED TO MAKE MY TWITCH CHANNEL BETTER AND I DID WHAT U SAID TO DO SO I REALLY APPRECIATE IT
im confused, my mic is not getting picked up in
Rode connect but works totally fine, Btw i have the NT-Usb mini
i still can't connect RODE Connect into my discord according the settings u've been telling on this video .. can u help more ?
Rode connect work with Astro A50 ?
i mean, idc what mic i have, I'm sticking with Voicemeeter Potato.
I dont have voice when i select on windows Rode connect with my astro a50 any one have a answer ?
This vs Samson Q2U?
Can I use it without a Rode Mic? Maybe this was mentioned in the video but I haven't watched it full yet because am just so excited
Edit: After some research I have discovered its only compatibly with the RODE Mini
voicemeeter banana does most of the same stuff
@@baza210 i know i am using it right now
For a budget mic, What do you recommend more?
This or the Razer Seiren mini?
I heard that razed siren is god awful apparently
Razer*
This is amazing ! Does anyone know if blue yeti does anything like this ?!?! Thanks for the videos as always. Always informative always amazing 👏
6:31 - It sounds noticeably better (much more natural) WITHOUT the effects.
I recently picked up some "Rock Band"/"Guitar Hero" USB microphones (Logitech A-0234A) for $3(US) each, at a thrift store. They actually sound FAR better than the RØDE NT-USB Mini, for voice reproduction.
And, in case someone is going to say, "You don't know what you're talking about," I received a Bachelor's degree in Communication with specialization in broadcast production. I've worked in TV production. I've also worked both as a Radio announcer and a nightclub DJ, using sound systems costing MANY times what any streamer uses. With modern digital electronics, it is simply NOT necessary to get expensive equipment.
One common error is one Pete makes, here on this channel. He puts in too much bass. The normal human voice does not have much bass in it at all. When you add bass, you end up with a "muddy" sound which does not sound at all natural. You don't really notice it much, because so many people do it that it starts to sound normal. However, when you take it out, the difference can be eye opening. Always ask yourself, "Does that sound like someone speaking through a microphone or does it sound like someone standing beside me?" If you can answer the latter, you're on your way to enlightenment. 😉
you are so close To say RØDE but cool video
Rode is the best Microphone for Beginners or Profis ^^ thx for the good Video
Does this software only work with that one mic?
same question here
@@happystarthe3rd at present yes
@@valiantmike7210I know already checked after writing the answer
@@happystarthe3rd i was replying to original poster sorry not sure why your name was tagged but at the same time how was i supposed to know you knew you know?? 😂😂😂😂
@@valiantmike7210 lol
Does the software work with any USB microphone?
I want to know this as well
Download it and let us know my guy!
Currently just the NT-USB Mini but I'd expect RODE to add more of their mics to it in the future!
Does yeti have software like this?
no
I'm curious how this will stack up against Voicemeeter as it's developed 🤔
Rode PodMic is the same price and I would take that 1000000x over this.
yes but you need an XLR, cloudlifter, audio interface and pop filter. If you have the rest of those, then yes there is no point except convenience to get the NT USB-Mini. Mind you I have a Rode Podmic, Rode Rodecaster Pro as interface, Rode AI-1 as extra interface and an extra mic the Rode Procaster and 2 mic boosters the Fethead and the SE Dynamite but some days I just feel like taking my macbook to our dining table and plug the NT USB Mini just because.
Welp my current mic is better, and I paid 30$ for it including the audio interface as it's a xlr mic it's need audio interfacd
I've listened to your audio and while it's fine, it isn't better than this
An oral exciter? I like the sound of that 🤣
Under 100$? It costs exactly 709,00$.
lmao why did u delete your last video 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
o divers go instal
British RUclipsr. Why under $100? Why not under £100 or £120?
because USD is the most used currency in the world and his viewers are probably more from America.
Haha, I know, feels pretty unnatural. But my audience is mostly based in North America so it makes the most sense. The Mic is £88 in the UK though.
@@GamingCareers I suppose you got to cater to your largest audience. Great video 👍 🎙
