Working Structure Fire Signal 11 Newark New Jersey 1/7/24

Just after 1:00 AM on 1/7/24 NFD got a call for a house fire, first due engine company and officers reported a working fire with one male trapped on the second floor. They quickly started to make a rescue by throwing ladders up to the second floor. At the same time, they were also stretching one hand line to the first floor. Crews were able to get the man off the roof safely and started to knock down the fire inside the home. The fire was quickly knocked down and crews started searches and venting the strucure. Shorly after the fire was reported knocked down. No further information is available and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Great rescue and also for keeping the fire in check and extinguishing! Several fire departments would start knocking out every window and cutting the roof away ventilating…which every room lights off with a well ventilated oxygen rich atmosphere which spreads fire throughout structure. Again, great job NFD for doing what fire departments are supposed to do!!!
It's not exactly what I would call a "working fire", and the beginning radio transmissions were garbled and distorted, but that isn't the fault of the videographer. Nice work from the firefighting community of Newark, NJ

I think I missed the flames showing, I was 7 mins away but hit a few lights. NFD is very fast.
I can't even begin to imagine the strength required to pull those heavy hoses into houses and up stairs while wearing heavy gear! FFs are awesome!

no, haha, so the jersey shore don't always have fires as often and I do travel a bunch so the channel may be expanding. hope you understand as its only 40 mins away and sometimes going to a fire up north as equal in response time to something out west in my same county...
