I have all three brands. Rogue has a more aggressive knurling and a better quality finish. However I am not willing to pay the shipping costs for that difference.
Great video, thank you. My wife and I just picked up a 200 lb Weider set, they arrived today. Certainly has been a long wait before we found some that were available!
@@just.j.c We actually found a set of Inspire dumbbells at Costco for a little less money, which includes a pair of 5 lbs weights. They also look basically identical - the knurling feels a little more pronounced on the Inspire ones. My wife likes them better so we are returning the Weiders.
Ordered CAP 60 and 70-lb dumbbells from Amazon recently. 60 pounders weighed 60.0 each. 70 pounders weighed 67 and 67.2 lbs each. I suspect tolerance % increases at heavier weights. Waiting on customer service, but might recommend looking elsewere if you want reasonably accurate weights. Also new dumbbells have much shallower knurling.
I'm not training with Arnold Swartznager so I don't need Rogue. $$$$.I bought all my Cap rubber hex head dumbells used on ebay ,and their not that expensive. I don't think my biceps would have got bigger 💪 because of the name brand. 🤦♂️ Used. Ebay.
I have a weider 20 lbs I bought around the pandemic from sears and I have a infinity 20 lbs but they don't feel the same weight I need to buy a weider now that I have my utility bench I have a house need to get the right weight on both hand do you think buying a new weider would make a difference to gather with the old one or do I need to buy 2 new ones same together
I purchased different set of pairs of dumbells from Ignite by SPRI on the Target website and compared next to a pair of Rogue that I Previously owned they look 100% exactly the same in terms of look, feel, smell and rubber quality unfortunately they only make them til 45 lbs. and the stamp says SPRI and definetely whow wouldn't want to own their dumbbels with a Rogue stamp in their home gym but way too expensive for just a stamp.😉
Hi I see how much alike the cap symbol is to the weirder. Is the grip on the weider dumbell a little thicker? I have ocd to lol and I want the ones with the thicker grip for comfort. But if they are the same then maybe it's just the way the picture looked
For everyone seeing this in November 2024. The Rogue dumbbells are one of the 5 items ships for $5 items in November. I shopped Rogue and off brand and the Rogues were pretty much the same price or cheaper if you take shipping out of the equation, or because everyone else still has crazy shipping costs. You can just buy the dumbbells plus a few low price clothing items or hats and get the dumbbells shipped for $5. I couldn't find a better price than the Rogues right now because everyone else is still charging shipping. You're welcome and enjoy!
@@Mellowyellow8888 1% tolerance is about as accurate as all plates come besides calibrated/competition plates. Up to 3% tolerance is common for good quality plates actually (so +/- 1.5lb). Lots of lower quality plates will have a 10% tolerance even, so that +/- half a pound would be much preferred.
There is a +/- 3% tolerance on the actual weight. Even Rogue has the same 3% tolerance. Only really matters when you get the heavier 70lb and up weight. 3% weight difference at 100lb dumbbell can be a 3lb difference. If you have a pair of 100lb dumbbells and one is 3lb less at 97lbs and the other actually weighs 103lbs that is going to be a huge noticeable difference. No one wants that type of range when paying such a premium price for these dumbbells. Watson Brand is the most premium dumbbell out of the UK and they ship nationwide. Also they have a 2” rotating grip. These are the best premium dumbbell If you can afford and want the best
Just because two things are made in the same factory doesn't mean the products are identical. I would gladly put my money down on rogue branded dumbbells vs walmart branded dumbbells in a torture test.

You didn't show the Rogue ones.
are the weider rubber encased in metal?
Great review! What flooring are you using?
John, they’re horse stall mats! You can get them at your local tractor supply or outdoor goods store

You should have weighed them

You can tell a little bit of the difference between a weeder and a cap cat is a thicker diameter of a bar then the Weider has.
great video
Glad you enjoyed it
@@just.j.c I agree with you! Bought all my Cap rubber coated hex head dumbbells used on Ebay. No smell. Price was cheap. Used. EBay. 👍💪

I haven’t but they look almost exactly like CAP 💪🏽
@@just.j.c thanks again for your response 😊!! What do you think about rouge Vs . Rep I’d you did try rep before ? Thanks so much

Cap dumbbells are not sold at Dick's sporting goods.

I don’t see anything by the dumbells for a promotion on the rogue webshop?
@@Sew1888 Go to the 5 ships for $5 promotion and the dumbbell sets will show up under that. Looks like it's for sets only, not pairs.
My weider say weider on them
they are all literally forged in the same factory... being from china is too generic of a description....
i suggest to weight them if they are actually.. close in actual weight... i have seen examples for 45lb plates that were 45.5 or even 44!
spot on!
