On the wall , Roger Waters write and compose the songs, ok , but the reallity is that the band create the songs . For example , Roger never composed gilmour guitars solo and rick wright made the job on " nobody home " etc... Marr wrote the bass lines ? I am very suspicious . When Marr ( i love Johnny ) is credited for all the music on the Smiths albums , for me it's wrong .I think that he has never composed Andy bass-lines and Morrissey vocals melodies .... Impressive and very good job. The Smiths are my absolute favorite band ever. I have a easternlilly tatooed om my right shoulder with a ribbon with There is a light that never goes out. I did it 1987 when i turned 18 and has never regret it.

OMG I Was there when the Smiths were created .
This professional base playing is unbelievable !
My self a big Smiths and Elvis presley fan who was alive when elvis was alive ...... woooo this made me cry with happiness folks.
I have a few guitars and I sing elvis in the bars around me and I miss these good and very memorable vibes from an amazing band.
It just hurts me to see morrissey say he will not listen to the Smiths and the band is the past and should be forgotten .
I am an x soldier I was in children's homes for no reason in 1982 onwards I only had the Smiths this band kept me alive .The lyrics made me happy because these were good verses vompared to my horrible life.
I love and will never forgot my life being a Smiths fan and I will always love these songs .
I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour but heaven knows I'm miserable now ! Mike elvis 2nd battallion grenadier guards oh mother xxxx

That's a fantastic display of your and Andy Rourke's talents. A lot of people think that the Smiths were just Morrissey and Marr but it was Rourke and Joyce as well who made the music so good.

Bravo! This really showcases Andy’s skills and contribution to the smiths records. Smiths drummer Mike Joyce famously sued Morrissey and Marr for cutting him out of royalty payments and tried to enlist Andy Rourke to join the suit. In 1989 Andy was "desperately short of money" and settled with Marr and Morrissey for £83,000 (about $104,000) and 10 per cent of royalties, giving up all further claims. Mike Joyce won his lawsuit, collecting £1,000,000 (about $1,246,000) and 25 per cent of royalties.

Andy Rourke is a Genius . For me, is at the same creative level than Johnny Marr . I love Andy Rourke . My favourites ? All his bass-lines exept: "i won't share you" and " please , let me ..." 😊😊
