That white just does it for me. I think you picked the right color. Paul did a great great job painting it. So nice!
For sure, the white looks great.
@@baxrok2. i was worried he was gonna keep that gold, ik vtuned liked it. But damn it was ugly
Edit: it’s a beaut now, they did a nice job
Paul do great work! 👍
@@johnjohnson9431 the white is boring
White paints hides all of the imperfections
Oxygen sensors may have been damaged by oil contamination causing poor running.
Plugs are cheap too.
Kudos to Paul, he's a paint magician. His paint jobs are stunning.
agree 💪
It’s so cool to have a brother that’s a professional car painter
@@conmancollins1176 there are several "professional car painters down at the Earl Schieb Dicount Paintathon- Paul is way better than that! I was a bit surprized by the choice, though, and hopeful to see Paul really get out the big magic and give Foose or Charlie Huff a little nudge! FR
Just remember guys he ripped this down to the Bone Switch the whole tub .....mad props ...can’t wait till it’s on the road
can't wait to see it on the Road !!!!
so? it's a car it's not a space ship from mars.
@@captainfancypants4933 Lemi see you do this then. If it’s so easy.
And it is a complete gamble on whether or not it will be reliable long term. It was completely frankensteined back together, with a ton of guessing along the way
@@mikerzisu9508 that’s the next guys problem/worries/stress/heart-attack/bankruptcy
When I saw them take out the entire wiring harness, I would have made a sizeable wager they would NEVER get it back together. Outstanding job by everyone. Can't wait to see this run!
Looks more intimidating than it is. A lot of it will almost lay into place as it designed to fit the contour of the car.
Not at all attempting to discredit the amount of work, just offering perspective.
@@Moises-kf1hg I once pulled THREE tubes off the carburetor of a chain saw I was fixing. After several hours of attempting to get it to run I finally looked it up on RUclips and fixed it. So you can imagine my perplexed self looking at that wiring harness and thinking, "What the hell do I do now?"
Fantastic job guys you must be so relived no smoke .
@@itsjustme1949 that's why you take pictures etc. which he probably had hours upon hours of footage etc.
@@captainfancypants4933 I wish I would have been smart enough to do that, but my god, THREE tubes, how hard could it have been for me to fix. The problem was my thought process of how I THOUGHT it was supposed to work, not how it actually worked. Learned my lesson though.
She’s looking absolutely mint mate, I’ve enjoyed every minute of this rebuild, it’s a credit to you. 🙏👍💪🍻🍻
You’ve come along way with that car . Your almost there . Be careful when you take it out on the street. You’ve got a race car 👍✌️😎
The car is nearly there and looks amazing and I must say that this has been one of the best series of videos I have ever watched on RUclips. Thanks to yourself Vtuned as your skill never ends and to your brother for the amazing paint job. So happy that the engine is okay and it was just a bit too much oil, can't wait to see it finished and being driven.
Yo congrats man! Si happy for you brother! 👍🏽
This build is truly the best one yet! You really have a talent for what you do Ben ! Can't wait to see it complete.
Agree 100%
Admitting your mistakes is first step towards great improvements!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
AGREED ! 👌
My whole life is a mistake, am I good now?
I wasn't sure about the white colour to begin with but with all the various splitters, vents & other trim pieces now in black, the overall look is great! In addition, it must have been a great relief when you corrected your over filling of the engine oil, such that the car no longers blows out tons of white smoke at start up. I have been following this project from the start & each episode is a must see for me. Keep up the great work & I really admire your hard work & commitment on this complicated build. 👍
Man I was so happy when it didn't smoke! Good job keep it up man .. can't wait for the final episode 🔥
definitely happy as well
Congratulations Ben! Well done, Sir! Outstanding job for sure.
Front facetime camera LOL
great to see the Mclaren getting close to the finish line keep up the great content vtuned from Brisbane Australia
The comeback... "Nah, Vtuned never fell off" great work bro👌🇿🇦
👍
5:28 woahhh my mind blown!!! Nice technique vtuned!!
Amazing job on the McLaren! The white with black accents is perfect. You can't go wrong with the simplicity. The complexity of the job is mind numbing. I bet your next project will be restoring a space shuttle. Great job!
Man, what a work of art. You and your brother pulled it off !
Definitely !!!
Congrats on the smoke cessation.
Keep plugging along.
Thanks for another good video.
you nailed all the colors black white so cool..love it..
That things sounds fierce on a cold start !
Happy you like the sound 💪
Happy for you that the only issue was the oil being overfilled. I know what an awesome feeling it is when you have been bummed out cuz you are expecting the worst then the fix turns out to be cheap and easy. I'm sure you feel excited about this car again.
I have been a quiet doubter since the beginning but your persistence and ability have really shown. Great work and very happy for you and your engine that you got that sorted. You may not be a mechanic but every mechanic has to start somewhere and your natural ability to get things done and learn from mistakes makes you further ahead than many. Great work.
His relief is palpable and it’s commendable that he’s not too up himself to eat humble pie. Nice save Mr Tuned👍
Been waiting for the 3pm vid drop! Hope you do a lineup of your builds when she's all done.
great idea for the lineup
Pretty cool guys!
I love the white and black
Keep going
Keep winning
Keep driving
Mind blowing achievement man! You should be extremely proud!!!
White was a great choice it's looking good. When you filled in that square camera hole with a patch piece and used panel bond to help secure it there's a better way, 'most of the time'. Use the same piece that you got the patch piece from and cut long thin sliver's, like welding rod size and use them to weld the pieces together. Just use some kind of heat source, not so much to warp the panel. By doing this your using all the same material for great strength and almost as strong as it was new.
That white is great! Looks so clean
great stuff Ben, i like the white and black . looks sweet
Awe Vin, THOSE engines ARE expensive, But for the length of time you had it running including a couple of revs, I’m pretty confident that you didn’t do any SERIOUS engine damage, I wouldn’t be TOO surprised if THAT was the reason it shut down on ya awhile back...... Maybe that engine management system has an interlock in it to PREVENT any kind of engine damage.... You are DEFINITELY getting closer to the finished product!!!!!!👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Your brother painted the HELL out that car! White looks great
Lucky you!! I was certain that engine had some serious issues with all that smoke. Who'd have thought it was too much oil? Can't wait to see it on the street!!
Man I can't wait to see you driving this car. Love you chanel and keep up the good work. All the love from Romania
💪
This has been one of my favorite rebuild series on youtube
Wow I'm glad you caught that before you burned up the rings and pistons. You saved yourself alot of money. Keep up the great work on your videos and God Bless.
Stormtrooper mclaren looking on point. Definitely gone to the dark side. Awesome video Ben. Good shout on the black painted trims and parts.
Bro I love all of ur videos dude keep up the amazing work💯🖤
Nice touch, fitting the mesh to back up the front diffuser plug.
The body shop expert at it again the paint is looking mint 👌
Huge respect for Vtuned!! I’ve been watching since episode 1, but I need English c.c subtitles , my English is poor
Nice video VTUNED, the car is looking awesome...
Super happy it quit smoking. VERY happy for you!!! Those tips looks sick on that exhaust. I want this project to be done so I can see it on the road, but I don’t want it to end because I have enjoyed the whole journey.
You did a right thing, by painting it white, looks phenomenal !
Het ziet er geweldig uit top job 🤩👍👌 Groetjes uit Holland 🤩👋🏼👋🏼🌹🌹🌹
The end shots are great, more of that banter.
I agree.. it does look 100x better white. I would have metallic blacked the trim pieces.. reason is people would have been turning heads when the sun hit it. Car is goon be a stand out. Be proud... great job
Cant wait to see this beautiful beast.. im a fan starting episode 1.. 😊 and im always waiting for the new episode.. Keep it Up bro'
Dude white looks so good, don’t listen to anyone else and stop doubting yourself. Just love the 720 content!
I knew that smokin was a dry sump issue, the old "60s" BSA/ Triumph motorcycles were dry sump & would do that if they sat for a while without being run, oil back drains into crank area leaving tank dry on start up, no oil for pump & rod would find is way out the case through hole it made. At least you had enough (too much) oil so no starvation, thats a finicky machine you got there gotta be careful with it. Great job on that thing gonna give lots of enjoyment. Have fun with it but not too much, it will prob outrun the stopping abilty, just slide, so beeeee careful.
Coming together nicely
The white and black color scheme is great - love it! The only change I'd make is to add some red accents somewhere. 👍
Good to see your engine is ok thanks for all your videos
As always the professionalism is exceptional. Please upgrade your protective gear for spray painting. Dont wait till your 72 to find out you needed to protect yourself from harm.
So awesome to see the McLaren 720s nearly all done and I am here just an hour after the video went up here in Australia
💪
Great work mate, you should be proud of yourself. Is an amazing car that you are very deserving of. I love the way you are humble and aware of your own mistakes and short comings. You are a fine example of what can be achieved through hard work, discipline, and most importantly, the belief in yourself. Well done Ben, and all your team.
I'm not a fan of white cars, but Paul did his usual phenomenal job of painting the car. With the black accents it has that whole stormtrooper vibe amd since I'm a ginormous Star Wars geek from way back when the movies first came out ,that looks good to me.
Nice job on the trim, looks awesome...and nice catch on the amount of oil, huge relief.
That paint job from pTuned is 🔥 🔥 🔥
I can’t wait to see the video zooming the car on the highway all tuned up!!! Black and white I love the combination.
Good choice on black not gray.👍🏽
Red could have also worked well.
Bravo, félicitations pour votre beau travail. Congrats for your great work. I have been following this McLaren venture since the beginning and wow! Its good to see the outcome of it, and wait to see you driving it with pride and joy.
Major respect for you and the work you've put into this car!
im so happy for ya!! that was giving me anxiety!!! Cant wait till you get er done!!
You guys should be very proud of your selves, man you must have a very proud daddie, bless you guys.
I too am no mechanic. I am not sure what you meant by dry sump. Obviously you need oil in the pan, but did the over fill cause it to migrate into the cylinders? Thankfully you had multiple points other than the oil pan to drain it all down. Great diagnosis and job.
Great Video!! Props on fixing it yourself!!!
Ben and yuri you guys amazing me with all ur skills.
V tuned breathes a sigh of relief, good job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍, looks good in white by the way 👍👍👍
Your doing just fine give Thanks BIGG BROTHER
Love this channel and love the hard work even more! I can’t wait to see it on the road!
for sure 💪
Almost there Tennessee. What a ride!
So happy to see the smoke was a small fix. Don't worries the oil will not stay in the exhaust. after couple run will be clean like new. 😊
So happy for you car looks great love the White and the black.
You must be relieved. Good stuff.
What a rebuild!!! Amazing work and seriously lucky the extra quart of oil didn't bust the engine!!!
You have 2 sets of headlight bezels. I would paint one set white and the other black and see which looks better.
Jerry Most definitely the best idea !!!
mclaren looking so cool man....wonderfull work...you are a great
😂 too much oil.. whoopsie! 😳😂
Dude, as the saying goes; “Even monkeys fall from trees” 🤷🏻♂️👍🏼
Super happy to see zero smoke now 👌🏼😎 ..roll on test drive and pulls 💪🏼
So moral of the story, if you smash up your Mclaren give it to V to fix. If you need an oil change, take it somewhere else 😂. So happy for you!
Few more episodes to go and the Beast will be ready to rock🍻
Nice Vtuned can't wait to see it running with white color
I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY , CONGRATULATIOS. YOU DESERVED. NICE JOB, WELL DONE. G.B.Y.A.
I know i sound like a broken record but PLEASE, take the time to torque down all the bolts and nuts that hold the front and rear subframes and all the suspension points, this is a 200mph+ car and that stuff is VERY important
I wouldn't trust this thing to go over 60 mph
I love how vTuned gets a bit more distinguished in his paint videos :) (Hi Paul!)
I didn't get the title until you started pulling hoses and showing where oil had made its way into... yikes
Dude madd respect for showing the mistakes you could of left this out
💪💪💪
I still can’t believe how far this mclaren project has come from stripping everything off the original car and the reinstalling everything back on the donor tub, wow you must be so happy having the mclaren, nice work bro.👍👊🤘🔥
so so happy for the hardest working guy out there no smoke great job this car is so close to hitting the street ,just promise us all take it easy on this beast and yourself happy days ahead..
It happens to the best, won't be you last over-service. You found the problem and corrected it. That's what counts. Keep doing what you do. You never stop learning.
That thing sounds absolutely other-worldly good 👍🏻
Awesome paint job
The white with black trim was an excellent choice.. It's pure class among it's many brightly coloured and nardo grey contemporaries.
White is the best color for cars! good thing you chose it!
you should do the pedestals for the side mirrors in gloss black also
That white paint looks amazing!
White color was the right color by far, looks really good nice car, greetings from Indianapolis.
So pleased for you bro, so glad it loos to be fixed
You are so lucky my dude, very happy everything worked out
