I never thought I would ever consider Lumix as my camera in the life. I have been a Nikon shooter since the film SLR days, then migrated onto Nikon DSLR but recently wanted to move onto the video oriented mirrorless camera so Sony was more obvious choice since Nikon does not have internal 10 bit video capability ability in any of their smaller camera body from Z5 to Z7. Nikon Z8 is ultimate camera but that is too big, heavy and overkill for what I am looking for. I was almost settled onto Sony after few months of research and was just going to pick either ZV-E1 or A7CII. Then suddenly heard about the unmatched IBIS of Lumix cameras in one of the RUclips review so started exploring more about their cameras just to learn that the S52X has some of those features which I used to imagine to have in my next camera but did not find any of the cameras I was considering. Now after a month long research, I am almost sold on S52X. Yes, this has few compromises like no 4K-120FPS, Cropped 4K-60FPS etc but then other cameras also have some or other compromises. In the end, Lumix is offering far more pros over compromises and ice on the cake is ability to rig it up as per the needs in the future. Lets see what camera I end up in the end. :)

I'm actually not an LUMIX ambassador haha. But I do have a professional relationship with LUMIX mostly because I love their cameras. Glad the video helped you decide though!
100% True...started with a G9 and GH5, I have bought other brands, but I always sold them and kept the Lumixs. They just work and are tough. Plus, the firmware updates...its insane. Now that I have good autofocus on them...I am like, why do people care about this? The S5iix is awesome, but I still like my S5, GH5 and G9.
That's how I feel. Definitely don't need AF in every case, but it's very convenient in a lot of different situations if you have the option to use it.

@@DustinArmstrongPro Dustin, to be honest, you massively influenced me in mid of 2020 to buy the Lumix S1h with your reviews.
I went through heaven and hell with this camera for blue sky bandings when doing extensive color grading - just to find out very recently that using a variable ND-filter with great blue skies and wide pans is a NOGO - regardless of ND price or quality.
Since a few weeks, I really love this beast of a camera!
So, some kind of a happy end!
Started with the Lumix G7 and then I got the GH5. Then I got the Lumix S1 and I really didn't like it so I got a Canon EOS R for auto focus. I left Canon for the BMPCC4K and left that for the Z Cam E2 M4. The I got rid of that and I got an S5 mk 1 which I kept for a while until I found an A7Siii for $2,000. I kept the A7Siii for about 8 months and sold it. Then I got a BMPCC6K Pro which I only kept for a month and sold it after I got the S5 ii. Paired with the Lumix S Pro 24-70mm f2.8 this is the Lumix camera that I've always wanted. I've tried other brands but I always come back to Lumix.
That's quite the journey!

I've only been reimbursed for my expenses when it comes to sponsored videos from LUMIX. Which has only been 2 videos. So I wish it was awesome. Plus I used their cameras for years before I had any kind of contact with them

Great video - I will choose it only once they fix the IBIS corner wobbles and add motion data to their full frame cameras :) - Those are the 2 reasons I bought a ZV-E1 instead of an S5 II.
For sure the corner wobbles could be improved. I didn't really use the motion data on my Sony, but that's just me. Some may find that more important
@@DustinArmstrongPro Depends on your content I guess. Sometimes you get some footage and the warp stabiliser makes things much worse. Then you can run it through gyroflow or catalyst to get gimbal like footage with just 10% crop, it's incredible and looks perfect.
It makes the difference between needing a tripod/gimbal vs being to travel light and still take great handheld footage with movement, it was game changing for me and makes me enjoy using a camera a lot more.

Not currently no. I'm a Lumix creator. I just get some of their gear early and have a professional relationship with them. But I'm not an ambassador
@@DustinArmstrongPro fair. I’m happy you found the tools that work for you. I’ve always been curious about Lumix. But thieir autofocus has not cought up, and the burst rates that canon offers helps as a great tool for me.
For photography I'm not sure how their AF compares, but in terms of video it's often much better than Sony in a lot of situations for me. But I think they still have some catching up on terms of photography. I'm pretty much strictly a videographer though not a photographer
