    I couldn’t imagine learning the short stop before bt8b it took me forever to short stop and I was already satisfied with the amount of tricks I could do before even landing a short stop

      Struggling on short stop tbh. It really looks like 2 seperate movements when I do it as opposed to 1 smooth motion. Smh. Ill get it eventually tho lol!

      @@G0ATHR0Bthe thing that took me forever to get was being able to maintain the momentum while transferring from your middle and thumb to between your middle and ring. It is important to not disturb the balisong while you are moving between the 2 sections and whatever angle you started the reverse thumb roll over needs to be maintained the whole time to hit a clean shortstop. Try not to tilt your hand to the left or right once you are using your middle and ring finger. Once you get each motion of the 2 parts down separately as clean as possible then start with doing the thumb rollover and just try and switch to your middle and ring and keep doing just that part over and over again until you get a feel for how the timing and momentum carries over. And after that try and continue the momentum to where you swap to middle and ring and just throw the blade and bite handle up over the back of your middle finger like you were going to go into a reverse middle finger chaplin. And then drill that until you get it as clean as possible. Once you can do that then the rest of it becomes much easier to feel out and it will become natural to do the whole thing as one smooth motion. Hope this makes sense lol. Short stop took me so so long to get smooth and all this stuff is info I wish I would have had from the beginning.

    Learning behind the 8 ball was somewhat difficult, but once I got it, it made combining tricks waaaaayyyyy easier and also led to a sort of burst of creativity that allowed me to start making my own combos

    I really do love these "ez"/POV/vlog style videos!
    Behind the 8 ball was like my 2nd move to learn. If you do just 3/4 of it(catch in an ice pick instead of doing the bite handle wrist pass catch) , it is almost impossible to cut yourself.

    • @Fingnars
      @Fingnars 2 года назад +3

      I did this when learning helix, stopping the final rotation early by catching the safe handle to avoid catching the bite and doing wrist pass. Unfortunately it kind of made a normal helix harder for me :(

    Thats really helpful from you. You basically confirmed that I started doing on my own. Even if my options are rather limited. I got the behind the 8 ball nailed down rather quickly so that helped. But for some reason my brain is not capable of connecting the 2 steps for the short stop properly.

    I’ve been flipping for about 2 months and I learned the behind the 8 ball after only learning the basic open and y2k because of your video and it has made learning a lot of other tricks much easier. It definitely has so many fundamentals inside of it that translate to many many tricks. Thanks for the advice! Helped me a lot

I'm high intermediate and although the chadder feels great and looks flashy the B8B is smooth and rewarding, it's a flashy but easy to learn trick if you have the prerequisites down. helix into bt8b into cherry picker (if you can do it) is my favorite warmup to just get my fingers working and flow started in the morning, and its a great small combo to practice as a new flipper to work on flow. even if you cant do cherry picker just the helix into bt8b is great.

    • @zaylor4736
      @zaylor4736 2 года назад

      It’s different for everyone, people start with different finger dexterities, Id suggest just doing over and over until it’s smooth and you’re confident enough to do it without thinking, work on “fluidness” before worrying about speed

    With my experience, heres my opinion on the matter.
    Always act like no one likes you. That doesn't mean you shouldn't cut everything and everybody off. Be social, be friendly.
    When a girl/boy gives you attention, act accordingly. If it progresses, act accordingly.
    You want to be approachable.
