Very nice bike on the road , much better than the Rally but it’s a slightly smaller T7 off road which is fine but I’d rather be on the Rally off road when it gets muddy or rough
Just for the record; the lady in the dark sunglasses crossing the road twice, is two different people. I'm still questioning if I'm living in a parallel universe 😅
@@TwoWheelerSparkyyeah, that subframe isn’t important to chassis integrity- I’m pretty sure the engine is a stressed member- I’ve seen guys pull it off, drill holes, job done.
@@TwoWheelerSparky let me rephrase being your someone who has ridden both CRF301 and 450MT and you could only have one bike to do it all would you swap your SSS CRF301 yes or no? 😎
No doubt it's better behaved onroad than the Rally, but offroad I have my doubts. Despite certain reviewers keeping on that you don't feel the weight, I can't get past the physics of carrying an extra 45kg vs the 250/300Rally or even 55kg vs the 250/300L. Once you do more than a smooth gravel road, every kg counts.
@@TwoWheelerSparky Considering the perfect bike doesn't exist, if you're doing a lot of highway driving, the extra weight should give better stability.
You make a valid point, weight is critical if you’re trail riding for 6 hours or more and the journey includes a good percentage of technical obstacles. The secret lies with your physical fitness and strength, not just to pick the bike up but to manage those bars over rocks for mile after mile. Exhaustion creeps in quietly and not always slowly. That applies also to bikes with a single cylinder too. Many buy these off road adventure style bikes in the mistaken belief the scenes portrayed on YT for 30 minutes or so are typical of what you will expect out there in the remote parts of your country. Once those wheels have bedded themselves in 12 inches or more of sticky mud, getting it out is exhausting, even with help, add to that sweat, mosquitoes and the thoughts of another mile or so of the same, weight is critical. Whether you’re on a small single or hefty twin, standing for long periods if you’re not fit will finish you in the first hour and your delight is visible when you approach a stretch of tarmac. There will be little difference in real terms between the CF Moto 450, the Voge Rally 300 or the Crf 300 if you’re bike fit and ride off road constantly which includes gnarly tracks. I moved from a CRF 300, to KTM 250 and then to the Husqvarna te300. BY far the best of the three was the little two stroke, light, nimble, fantastic suspension but at the end of the day I was still physically tired due to age and the terrain covered. The point you make is valid indeed but buying a bike is just the first step, knowing how to ride it is important, riding on an unstable surface is totally different to smooth tarmac. Many of the revues on YT do not represent trail riding in its entirety, they are false and misleading, repeatedly you see these bikes on wide relatively uneven tracks, performing well on stock tyres. Most competent riders have that ability, subscribers fall into the trap and go out and spend their money. The cf450 in the hands of a competent and fit trail rider will make it perform as well as the single 300’s, with others not so fit they will do the same but for a shorter time over the same terrain, there lies the difference I guess.
I’m surprised how high the rpm is at 100. I thought I would be lower, that’s roughly what my 390 sat on too. If it was me I’d go for a bigger bike and keep the 300 rally too.

@@TwoWheelerSparky it’s actually 3 bikes 😅 I use to swap front sprockets on my 390 pretty often. Stock size for highway and one less tooth for everything else.
I think at the price point, you can’t go far wrong for doing some adventure riding and light off road. I don’t think it would be particularly good on anything too knarly off road. Was there any buffeting at 100km? The adjustable screen is cool. You get a lot of fruit the the price. I had an Africa Twin a few years ago, it was awesome as a touring bike, but anything more than dirt roads it was just too heavy for me, I sold it and bought a CRF450L. Admittedly it’s not as good as the AT on road, but I can get off road into single tracks and it’s manageable. I think the 450MT is probably a great bike for those not interested in doing any harder off road stuff, happy to be proven wrong though, so now it’s over to you 😁
