Rhythm Heaven Megamix helped me get out my depression a few years ago. I just couldn't help but smile, I felt motivated after learning to perfect play each rhythm game.
The touch and flick controls (ESPECIALLY the flicking) were SO incredibly enjoyable to pull off and I was so sad they took it away in Megamix and I will DIE ON THIS HILL
I’ll always say that a Rhythm Heaven Switch with new games, old games, and special remixes with Nintendo Music would just be the best of its kind and would do very good. The best part of the series is the possibilities with all the minigames it has, you just have to look in RUclips the amount of fan remixes with popular music people have done, some of them even have custom designs of the minigames (just like the actual remixes do in the official games) so having this in an official game and even be able to play it would be great, we’ll just need to see what Nintendo thinks of the franchise, because apparently they get disappointed with Rhythm games pretty easily...
I picked up Jam With the Band because of this video (I live in the UK) I had magic made fun back in the day so I thought I'd give it a shot! Great game and great video my guy!
I have a love-hate feeling for osu!. I love that it brings more Ouendan and EBA styled gameplay, I hate that its extreme popularity basically guarantees that Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! and Elite Beat Agents won't be getting new games anytime soon. I mean, I don't care if its free. osu! on PC lacks all of the charm that made me love the Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents games.
As much as it’d be cool to have the Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents games to be remade for Switch. It’d be a hard sell when Osu! is right there. Also if they would bring back Band Brothers overseas, it’d be so cool if they would have the track list in the U.S. version consist of music from cartoons like imagine jamming to a cover of the intro to the DKC cartoon or songs from Steven Universe.
Something interesting to note in regards to Daigasso Band Brothers P is that they actually held a remix contest based on the Touhou Project series, after they got the licensing for ZUN's music CDs, and actually had ZUN on the panel of judges for the contest. Additionally, through the official online radio for the series, 9129Suppon, they actually released a physical album containing the four winners (two chosen by ZUN, one chosen by the panel for best instrumental, and one chosen by the panel for best vocal) alongside four other songs from doujin bands (specifically ZYTOKINE, Yuuhei Satellite, Sekken'ya, and MAKKACHIN KIKAKU) and actually sold it at Reitaisai 13 (a Touhou convention, with the 13th one taking place in 2016). They actually uploaded an album preview video on RUclips too: ruclips.net/video/JUX_SMLx01w/видео.html Additionally, I did find this playlist containing 12 songs from the contest in full with the judges' comments in the description: ruclips.net/p/PLrkx2FRuxCRTpPhc7ytz9VCOeH64eOwRz
Your take on the Ouendan/EBA series is really fascinating. I was introduced to osu! through the original DS games, which eventually exceeded my time playing the original series. But after my childhood, I never really revisited osu! properly, only really to mess around with the map editor, but I replay at least one of the Ouendan games once a year because of the satisfying ends to the story. It's a shame that they're overlooked, probably because of the reasons you mentioned, but I reckon also because the maps on the DS games aren't anywhere near as difficult (thus impressive) to entertain people compared to some insane custom maps on osu!. I believe, while Nintendo intended to create a lore & campaign surrounding the game style, most players just settled with jumping in and out of maps as they pleased, which is where I believe osu! shines more for players. I'm pretty sad there is absolutely NO community out there looking to continue the legacy of these games, as there's a lot of information and digging I'd personally like to do with a group. Such as locating/obtaining the original masters for all the cover songs (an upgrade from the 32khz sample rate produced by the DS). Fyi, the osu! forums are now useless for this, as the player-base has either completely abandoned its Ouendan roots, or as you say, new players have never heard of it. Oh side note, the DS version of Michael Jackson: The Experience was an incredibly poor copycat of the Ouendan game style, if anyone should want to take a look into that monstrosity, haha!
Can anyone help me becase there was rhythm game mix with candy crash with little Alines that have différent ships and plaines i for got the name of that game i always play it with my Nintendo DS
May I have your permisssion to make Chinese subtitles for your videos and post them on Chinese website?just want to share your well-made content with other gamers, totally unprofitable and will have clear credit
Nice video here, it gave me some Scott the Woz vibes (which is a good thing for me at least.) I’d try going back to Rhythm Heaven DS (Gold) again, since I feel like it’s just behind Fever in the quality department. The Megamix ports of a lot of games like Blue Birds and Fan Club feel quite off with only buttons, so I’d argue the stylus is indeed an important part of the game. Plus, it let them make games like Love Lab, which were not brought back because of their heavy usage of stylus mechanics. It’s definitely has an odd control scheme, but Gold is far from a bad game in my opinion, better than Tengoku and Megamix I’d say
A while back I wanted to pick up Rhythm Heaven Fever on the Wii and it was like 24 bucks on ebay, so I was like "Alright, I'll get it one of these days" I mean...I do own it now, but let's just say I'm VERY unhappy with the price that I paid for it XD ...also I'd be down for seeing Barbara again someday.
all of nintendo's rhythm games are shite, like bro phigros is free and is much more unique than all of nintendo's original rhythm game stuff combined also groove coaster killed rhythm heaven in cold blood, like it does everything rhythm heaven does but much better + it got blazblue songs
First of all, you’re tripping over yourself, mate. Pick yourself up and wipe the grease from your gross-ass mouth. Also, Rhythm Heaven has Lockstep and Air Rally. You’ve lost this entire argument and it didn’t even take 30 seconds.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix helped me get out my depression a few years ago. I just couldn't help but smile, I felt motivated after learning to perfect play each rhythm game.
Trying this 🙈
I’m just gonna say it, Elite Beat Agents is my favorite game of all time. I refuse to elaborate.
This is acceptable
welcome to oss-
I like it too
U should play osu than
The touch and flick controls (ESPECIALLY the flicking) were SO incredibly enjoyable to pull off and I was so sad they took it away in Megamix and I will DIE ON THIS HILL
all i'm gonna say is that the Moai minigame highkey sucked, solely because it couldn't actually detect when i did the fast taps for some reason
@@kittykat5090 Haha, I always had trouble with Rythmn Rally, myself

Wow great video man! Everything about this is so high quality and well made! Keep it up!
in the future when rhythm heaven for the wii is $4,000 new and unopened on ebay I will always think of you
Jakstalgia
There will come a day when our economy is based on unopened copies of Rhythm Heaven Fever.
I picked up Jam With the Band because of this video (I live in the UK)

osu! lacks the soul that Ouendan/EBA has.
Nintendo always managed to have quality titles that are usually unique in these genres.
I'm really glad I got rhythm heaven fever at gamestop for $9
Thinking about the Guitar Hero game for the DS made my hands cramp just from the memory of it.
Omg, it's you! Somehow didn't know u had ur own channel!
Bruh. I remember seeing fever in bargain bins for like $10 for years
Another Great video
Listen. EBA helped me survive a hellish 12 hours in the middle of an Arizona summer with zero A/C. For that, it has an everlasting place in my heart.

We need a good Kirby rhythm game
I actually really enjoyed Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe on 3DS. Kind of hope it gets a Switch version like Kirby Fighters did.
@@Jakstalgia I know I did too just it has like 9 songs
@@Octav2000 It’s quality over quantity and I appreciate that personally.
Long story short the 3DS is Rhythm Heaven
You remind me of Scott The Woz
