Really great video! I've been a huge rhythm game fan my whole life so it was fun go through the history of them, loved the song at the end as well! I'm surprised your channel isn't bigger, you've definitely earned a new subscriber! Excuse the infodump, but I think Dance Central was actually a really well made game, at least 2 and 3 were! Dance Central 3 had a really neat feature where if you were struggling with a song it'd let you pick a move or part of the song and 'break it down' into a slow step by step on how to do it. Just Dance was good for turn your brain off fun, but Dance Central always felt like it also offered ways to help me improve and work towards perfecting the songs. Harmonix put a lot of love into that game and I felt like each iteration only got better! Also I'm not sure if you're aware, but I think Project Diva X is the only release where the costumes affect your scores, in all the others the costumes are aesthetic only which feels much better to play! harmonix made gh1/2/80's. when gh80's released, activision bought red octane and red octane owned the gh ip. then harmonix made rockband because they still liked the formula and wanted to keep making games like it. thats the story of what went down for rockband to be a thing for anyone that dont know
also osu! isnt made by the guys who made EBA
it was a fanmade version that ended up growing into its own thing
6:09 wait a minute...
That's High Point North Carolina?
I've been to that exact location toms of times wth
Please Rainbolt...don't tell anyone I was at Putt Putt Fun Center on N Main Street in High Point, NC!
I'm looking forward to seeing future videos from you, in the meantime it looks like I've got a lot of your previous ones to catch up on!
I've been wanting to compare the two, maybe for a short or so! That gives me some ideas and whatnot 👀
@@Xalem_Plays Thanks for the response! A video or short comparing the two made by you would be awesome! They're both really great games and were a big part of my life growing up, even if I am a little more biased towards DC.
*Gitaroo Man* mentioned. That's all I need
10:49 YES. this game is getting some love. this was my 1st introduction to Rhythm games ALSO YES. Kitty Nakajima's song IS the best song in that game altho Kelly, Hero, Shorty and Pinky had bangers as well. THESE games deserve a remake
8:07 MARIO BOAT HANDSPRING WHATEVER IT'S CALLED
holy fuck i just started this video drunk and suffered from audio whiplash
Brother this is one of the most fun and entertaining videos I've seen uploaded in a while. Can't wait to see what you make in the future.
very well made video, i enjoyed it! i hope it gets more views
18:13 That "Trogdor!!!" sent me back, holy cow. I miss HSR.
Yoo great video!! Really appreciated the two Taiko no tatsujin references lmao. Anyway, hilarious video, I really enjoyed it
Glad I read the comments, I would rather not get agitated about misinfo. I don't understand all the people saying this video is great and that it needs to blow up. Like, yeah the production quality is there, but if you can't even get basic facts right...
5:49 not even a ddr cab thats a Pump it up 20th anniversary cab man
1:41 Killer queen. Bites the dust.
11:01 RHYTHM N FACE MENTIONED LETS GOOOOOOOO 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Awesome video by the way!
The Enperry-brand cap gives +15 charisma to whosoever equips it
Taiko barely made 5 seconds 😂😢
Taylor Swift just dropped her new album and here I am listening to Right Now by Xalem... I'm okay with this.
My Roommate is playing Fortnite, and here I am listening to Fortnight.
22:27 IS THAT BOCCHI, KITA, NIJIKA, AND THE BLUE GUY FROM BOCCHI THE ROCK??!!!!
omg, bust-a-Groove is such OG dude, never expected it to appear in the vid, haha
oh wow :D you've gone through quite the journey!
i love the production of this video you've done fantastically
my favorite game of all time is actually "metal hellsinger" unironically.
i do have some problems that you've already aknowledged but otherwise, this was a fantastic video! Loved the storytelling and jokes, new sub for sure.
This video was so damn good! The Donkey Konga line at the very end was the cherry on top! I am surprised you didn't mention the pro intrunent modes of Rock Band 3 tho. I think you would have really enjoyed them.
the fact that you only have 7k subs is absolutely mind boggling
keep up the great work big dawg
Thanks! I appreciate kind words like these!
sorry to be like this but when you show DDR you also showed a Korean game called Pump It Up just wanted you to know that
Every single time people make the same mistake LMAO.
I guess in a way I'm glad Beatmania didn't take off globally because if it did we'd be getting the same thing but with EZ2DJ
(I love PIU and EZ2DJ)
Oh my god dude this is AMAZING!!! How do you have so few subs??? The production quality is amazing, and your original song (I think) at the end was great as well! As a fellow guitar player, I can appreciate the effort put in here. You've earned yourself a subscriber, keep up the good work :)
I would like to suggest beat hazard games. The concept is that you put music in then do a bullet hell like game that’s in sync with the music you chose. Just the first one is already insanely good, the only problem is it is unbelievably epileptic with so many god damn flashing lights. Other than that this was a great video to watch.
5:46
hey how did you get my wallet?!
Super underrated, fun video man!
6:03
that's
that's a pump it up cab :(
Underrated and That's alot of rhythm games geez!
The Project Diva thing is incorrect by the way--just throwing that in there :P You can play the game without adjusting the outfits at all and not have to worry about it whatsoever. That's how I play. Passing a song is entirely dependent on your skill at the game.
i had the dance pad as a kid and it was my fav game omg i would play with it for hours. we didnt have any arcades near me and even now the only arcade opened two years ago and is an hour away from me
fire and ice is missing
30:55 You forgot mobile rhythm games, I mean, there's Phigros, Arcaea, Rotaneo, Beatstars, Kalpa, Paradigm: Reboot...
0:23
That Periphery shirt is so peak
You also missed a lot of modern Arcade games
For example:
Sound Voltex
maimai
CHUNITHM
O.N.G.E.K.I.
WACCA
jubeat
There’s also a lot of other rhythm games that you either missed or glossed over such as:
A Dance of Fire and Ice
Rhythm Doctor
vivid/stasis
osu!
Muse Dash
Beat Saber
I e seen all your comments, and LOVE your passion.
I debated on doing MORE than 101, and played truthfully 150+. But I knew if I kept going and editing if never stopped, so for my own sanity I kept it to 101!
That didn't stop me from playing Muse Dash for 6 hours straight lol
@@Xalem_Plays
Ah alr lol
Keep up the good work btw, even though i may come off as negative your vids and style is so good and i like em a lot :D
Youre super underrated
If youre not telling me that this guys favorite youtuber is scott the woz, you are lying to me. But in full honesty, this video was edited to perfection and it was really funny. Good work
Loving the original piece! My only problem with it is that it ends when it feels like it's starting to pick up!
I WANT to do a second verse at some point. But I wanted to keep it simple for now. Know my limits. (:
(Will definitely update when there's a second verse though)
This video is so cool! How did you get your hands on all these games?
wow super underated chanel . this was amazing
i heard dream theater and my mind activated and i emediatly thought of my mom and my dads and my fav song "a change of seasons live at rossland theater" that 20 min song goes HARD

"But it is available in your browser"
I hope you don't mean the joke version on Newsgrounds by Apple Clock.
23:00 emu otori spotted, i'm happy

what was the song name you play at 0:20???
Okay, Let’s Go! - Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key
All music listed in the description!
That twerk on the Tom Morello guitar battle 😂😂😂😂😂
Surprised rocksmith wasn't here despite it being sightreading tabs
This better be a musical
I'm pleased.
31:33 You thought you could sneak him in
