I love my Hobonichi a6 but I am tempted by this. I would like a bit more space without going up to the a5. This is an interesting option. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! Just stumbled upon this randomly and I just wanted to say that I really love your voice! It's very calming while still conveying your genuine enthusiasm :)
As a stationary lover, thanks so much for sharing this video, I'll definitely stick around!
Thank you for your kind words. I’m prepping the pages for 2024. Will share more soon :)
I totally agree!
Wow, this unboxing had me so excited to get organized! The 2024 Midori Hibino Planner looks like a stylish and functional companion for the year ahead. The rich brown cover is giving me major fall vibes 🍂🍁, and the attention to detail is top-notch. Can't wait to see your creativity fill those pages! 📚✨
Thank you 😊 Jetpens just released for preorder this week as well
I love the cover of this planner. The entire look of it is so nice. My only downside is how thick it is. Sadly, I only need one page per day. I look forward to you sharing when you use it! xx
I have one on pre-order. Cannot wait to receive it!
Thank you! I love a day on two pages and tomoe river paper and having everything all in one.
Me too!!
So happy I found your channel. I definitely will be adding this to my 2024 planner line up. 😋
If you don’t have one yet, Jetpens just released for preorder this week as well
Thanks for sharing. Returning to journaling and planning. The elusive Midori Hibino was not easy to locate. Many sites were out… Amazon U.S charged $100 and Japan was out. Located a International site in Brussels- Moferito. It’s been shipped, and shipping was still a bargain. Can’t wait to receive it by next week. Beautiful planner and layout. Thanks 😊
Wow 😯 still that hard for the year coming! Glad you found one
I’m using the Hibino this year and I really do like 2 A6 pages per day but I’m not using it for 2024 only bc it was too bulky for me to carry with me when I travel for work, which I do a lot, and I prefer white paper over cream paper. It’s is really a lovely book though and I really liked the tiny grid
I can see how it feels that way at times for English users. In Japan, kids are initially taught to use up to 4 grids per letter. So for me, my brain just follows a specific line and spacing.
This is a great idea for a new bullet journal 🎉🎉
I missed this last year too so I also got in early. I am using this for my mental health journal. I can’t wait to start using it. Thank you for sharing. New subscriber here. Hello 👋
Common mission 😊 enjoy yours too!
Great video ❤
thank you so so much
Thank you for watching and interacting!
Ooh, another tempting option!! How does the grid size compare to the Hobonichi?
It is super tiny. 2.5mm so about half the size. It’s because Japanese handwriting is taught in a 4 grid system. 2 on top and 2 on bottom. So if you use 2 grids it’ll be easier
Greetings.
I’m new to journaling.
I’d like the Tomoe River paper and the cream color, and I’d like something thick (with similar number of pages), but I will only be using this as a daily sketch journal - so I’m not as concerned about the calendars/ dates and such.
Can you tell me what what I need to look for if I just want to be sure I get the correct paper and paper color (I’m ok with whatever calendar layout is included since I’ll be drawing over it).
If there is an option for similar (paper type, color, and quantity of pages) but with no text, I’d prefer that.
I ask because I’m not sure what ‘Hibino’ means.
Thank you in advance.
I enjoyed this video.
This one is perfect for that. There are no words. Or you can just search for tomoe river paper blank notebook. Galen leather has one and several Etsy sellers.
@@2tinytreasures I appreciate your very quick response!
Ok, I will likely order one like yours then.
Happy journaling (and I look forward to your next update)!
Hi, this looks great! I clicked the link and it says it's unavailable in both colors. Is there an estimated time for a restock? Thank you so much! I live in the US also, so does it ship to the US?
September with October delivery from Yoseka stationery. I think several are about to release here in USA
@@2tinytreasures thanks so much! I found another site called Stilo&Stile and they'll also have them in stock too, with free shipping to USA. Thanks again!
@@feliciabacon9923I checked Stilo & Stile and they don’t have it either.
@@paulatitus3197 I bought it on preorder and waited a few days, then they shipped it!
Jetpens just released for preorder this week as well
Hello! Thanks for this video. Are you planning to use a cover on your Hibino?
I’m not certain. At this time I’m going to see how it holds up just keeping it in this tote.
What is this size? I thought you said A6 but from some of the comments its ees ke it may be a different size? Also, is there ghosting with the pages? i love the thought of the "bible-like" paper but am concerned the amount of ghosting may be distracting? Thoughts?
Hi 👋 it’s definitely an A6. Chunky in fatness by number of pages. So it won’t fit in a typical a6 cover due to how many pages it has. Paper is tomoe river paper, so if you have a Hobonichi planner of some sort…it will be similar ghosting. It doesn’t bother me personally since most pens won’t bleed thru this paper.
@@2tinytreasures thank you for your prompt reply! Chunky doesn't bother me, I do like that this planner wide open and would allow me to have everything in one place, including some short journaling notes.
Mine did not lay flat so that’s a no for me in a planner or journal.
True at the beginning in particular. But I found that true after my hobonichi bulks up too. I didn’t want quotes. I prefer blank. Standard midori md lays flat, no quotes, but paper isn’t tomoe river. So this was the compromise for me.
Does it lay flat when opened and stay opened?
It’s not as flat as the Hobonichi. I didn’t want quotes. I prefer blank. Standard midori md lays flat, no quotes, but paper isn’t tomoe river. So this was the compromise for me.
So it is the tomoe sanzen for sure? 😢
I really wanted to understand that as well, I heard the paper on the 2023 planner did not have a paper comparable to Hobonichi, it would feather and bleed noticeably with fountain pen ink. If this is really Sanzen...that would be great
Yes it is Sanzen Tomoe River paper the exact same paper that Hobonichi is moving over to this year.
I bought it last year but I’m disappointed with it because the grid is WAY too small.
I can see how it can feel that way for English users who are used to writing a letter per grid but for most Japanese users with a more complex lettering system. Japanese is taught using a 4 grid system per letter. 2 on top 2 on bottom. So my brain just automatically converts to watching my baseline and using a height of rows that I’m comfortable with English letters.
Do you know which USA retailers will be selling these planner?
Yoseka stationery posted on their website “coming soon”
@@2tinytreasures, thank you!
Thank you 😊 Jetpens just released for preorder this week as well
@@2tinytreasures that’s great, thanks!!
@@2tinytreasuresI just placed my order with Jetpens. I ordered this beauty in the blue green color 💙💚.
This will be my ONLY 🤞🏼planner/ agenda/ diary.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
