    I got the N1 Full Year. The cover fit perfectly with no issue. She did say in some posts that you have to warm them up. They also did make the covers to fit like a glove this year b/c so many people requested that (last year there was a bit of wiggle-room).
    I personally think she pays too much mind to what everyone wants. She offered so many options (which was fun and considerate of her) but then I see so many people complaining about this thing or that, like 🙄ugh... people have honestly forgotten how to be decent and understanding. All they are is demanding now and if one small thing doesn't go exactly right, they are quick to act petty and entitled. Like of course it's going to take time to ship out so many options and orders that have to first be delivered to them and then quality checked. And of course it could take more time during a busy season like right now. I understand being frustrated - we're allowed to feel our feelings - just be aware that there is a real person on the other end with feelings who has been doing her absolute best to do right by everyone. Why is that so difficult nowadays..
    I'm not saying you're doing this, btw. It's just what I've seen in comments of videos. It's just disappointing that ppl are like this. Anyway, I hope Catherine scales down a bit next year and doesn't try to make everyone happy 'cause that's simply not possible and will just cost her more stress and anxiety than it's worth.
    I love you lineup for next year though and your cover decisions are 👌😁

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes! I've been following along with her Facebook group and posts. For the clear covers, I've warmed them up before, and I do like the more "glove-like" fit, but I find that the thicker covers of the new planners are harder for me to get the cover on. BUT I'm still really happy with them. Since she is discontinuing them I'm hoping there will be other sellers that come out with them. I personally like to store my books long term with a clear cover to help protect them.
      I agree that she does take a lot of considerations from her customer base (which can be great!) but in reality, no one can make 100% of people happy. I did see several of the posts in her FB group of people reacting in a way that may not have been the kindest, and I know that a lot of people were very anxious (me included) when things got delayed from her manufacturer. But as you mentioned, understanding and decency is much needed this time of year. Besides the holiday shipping madness, and the natural time it takes to produce the options she provided, she also had a baby! I think the fast shipping from certain big businesses has made it really difficult for smaller businesses, and the masses tend to forget that small businesses don't have the same level of production with shipping. All that aside, we (myself included) need to remember that these planners don't even start until 2024. We still have time even now before they even begin!
      I really appreciate your comment. I think the beauty of this community is being able to discuss and share with others 💝 If Catherine scales down I'm curious to see what she decides to remove (size, layout, color, etc.) or maybe she will surprise us all and her business will scale next year to meet the demand!
      Thank you for watching and sharing 😊 (P.S. do you plan on using a leather cover or external cover for your N1 Full year 👀 if so what are you using? 👀)

      @@mydandeliondiaries I hope I didn't come off accusatory in my last comment. I realize I said I wasn't talking about you after I had already said all those things. I should have really prefaced my comment with that. Sorry about that.
      I agree we've gotten used to things being a certain way because of large companies and social media in general. Everything is instant and impersonal these days. It's easy to forget to be kind.
      I also like to store my planners in clear covers at the end of the year. 😊
      I usually prefer clear covers so I can decorate with papers or stickers that I can switch out throughout the year. I also have a TN in a faux leather cover that's been working for me as well. I'd love to one day get a nice leather cover, but I'm waiting until I figure out what size/style works best for me. I seem to change my mind every year. 😅
      Anyway, looking forward to more of your videos. Take care

    This was totally helpful for me! I was SO frustrated with the whole experience of the Common Planner this year! I feel SO much better that I am not the only one that had all the same issues. I ended up buying 2 Hobonichi Weeks because I didn't think I was going to get the order in time. Mine came on the same day yours did... Honestly for the price of the cover on covers they should fit when you get them. I think they were made for last years books that fit so well. I am not using them this year and was excited to be able to buy the ones you talked about from lauren phelps designs, so happy she had the Moon Child Gilded Soft Vinyl Notebook Cover with Nib & Fleur at 65% off today! Score! I don't think I will be going with the Common Planner again next year. I will stick to the journals from her.

I know Sterling Ink is discontinuing her clear covers once they sell out, so I'm excited to see if other companies will have the larger clear cover options for the bigger books. I LOVE Sterling Ink's notebooks, and am excited to see if she brings the new cover options for the various sizes. She mentioned a possible sale of them in her facebook group to help clear out inventory to get new ones!

    I have the A5 full year in the pink cover, and it is floppy. I have the standard size in the green, and it has more structure. What I notice is that the dates and times are in darker print, but the days of the weeks are lighter and smaller print for me it's hard to read. I’m so excited my mom wants to get into planning and I just showed her my hobonichi cousin (visiting home) and she loved it so I’ll get her the cousin avec. I was thinking of trying to find a second sale of the A5 half year common planner because I think she’d like the aesthetic and lack of quotes but it looks like the company is still having some (understandable) new company/product issues. Maybe I’ll get her the cousin avec this year and see how the common planners come out next year. Thanks for the video!

    I saw those LP covers and pounced too! Thank you for going through each size and it is really helpful to see how the covers fit the planners.
    I missed the preorder so I can't say anything about patience, but from the creators I've watched, that's a concern that echos: the super early preorder window and the delayed deliveries.
    If there's going to be an increase in indie planner creators making TRP products, then it will definitely make things difficult for SI.
    I kinda hate to say it, but Catherine may need to scale down for the next release. Some of the configurations could be adjusted or dropped completely, and have maybe 3 or 4 color options instead of 5. And perhaps putting a limit on the preorders, i.e. a 3 book limit. She could still make tons of extras, for those who don't preorder and I think even then, there may be a need to be an order limit, but overall it may help move the planners quicker.

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  8 месяцев назад +1

      I think you may be right about product reduction. If not layouts then cover colors at least. Although the options are really what is unique about her launch. I'm sure the paper manufacturers will work towards upscaling their production too since the demand is there.
      Regardless, it was tough to wait but the planners still arrived before 2024 so I can't complain too much. I think it was seeing everyone get their orders out of order that was the hardest thing.

    I'm happy that your planners came in for you! When the remaining Sterling Ink planners were released on 17 Nov ordered the B6 Full Year in Mist with white pages and a B6 520 page notebook in Mauve with white edges in case I run out of note pages in my planner (I journal a LOT in my planner and plan on adding more things this year). They look beautiful. Thank you for the tips on stretching the covers. I ordered two in the B6 size and one in the weeks size hoping that it would fit my Hobo Weeks Mega. If they don't even after stretching them out I'll look at Lauren Phelps Designs and see if they have some compatible options. I hope it doesn't come to that for you.

      Yes! I saw her RUclips and her instagram as well! It is a beautiful planner and very well laid out. I tried out a B6 undated book this year and found it was too small for me but if she offers the book in an A5 size someday I will 100% order one. I love how she thought of all the pages!

    Hi! I’ve watched your older videos using coffeemonsterzco weeks monthly and weekly sticker sheets. Would those fit in the SI weeks? Do you mind checking? Thank you in advance!

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  8 месяцев назад

      I double checked and the SI is slightly bigger than the weeks so the stickers will fit but it will have a little bit of space around them. The weeks is like 1 to 2 mm smaller than the SI in the monthly, and the weeks is almost ~3mm shorter than the SI horizontal weekly (I don't have a vertical to check with sorry!). I hope that helps!

    • @mydandeliondiaries
      @mydandeliondiaries  8 месяцев назад +3

      Everyone has different planning styles/needs. :) I get very overwhelmed when I try to put everything into one or even two books. Having different books for the different "categories" of my life help me stay more organized. The consumerism* can be very high, I agree, but at the same time, people spend their money on what they like, or what makes them happy. That is something that the planner community can relate with. That stationery, books, stickers, etc. bring joy.

      @@mydandeliondiaries Yes I get it, I get overwhelmed very quickly and have OCD so order e organization are kinda my thing lol but I try to limit my spendings because I know most of it is influenced by what I see on social media. I love watching planner unboxing (including this one) but sometimes the fact that there are people out there using 3+ planner every six months for a total of 6 or more makes me anxious because we are talking about trees being cut to become planners...
