- Installing an LED headlight on a vintage bike is often a breeze with our Secret LED 7" Headlight. In most cases, the convenient H4 connector will "plug and play" with your vintage bike, and you'll be on your way with a brighter but period correct light in no time.
With a few easy steps, Revival's Lead Mechanic Alec gives you a quick and general run-down on how to pull your old headlight out, plug your new headlight in, and be on your way! It's as easy as that.

Fantastic and great vid!
Nice video .. quick and easy install .. Now, what I really think is that I'll have another beer now LOL
Thank you sir! I was worried until I seen this!
thank you! will be doing this later today. Mn
Dude, you actually made this video. I thought you were going to actually wire something. I installed an LED 3yrs ago on my vrod. The shop I took it to to change my tire decided to "HELP" me because the hi low wasn't working. Now no headlight and I don't know the original wiring. 😢😢😢
nice job bro' i wonder if they have it for 1978 yamaha 100 enduro with 6 bolt?thanks....
Its possible to have a yellower light? More like the original but with better performance
Is that a replacement for a 7" sealed beam bulb?
Hey Alec, how are you.. 😊
I'm looking to upgrade the headlight on my chinese scooter, it's a 2016 Znen Legend.
The headlight and bezel looks similar to this one in the vid but I'm not sure if it is plug and play like yours, as long as I get the right size replacement I can just splice the wires right?
If your current headlight is a 7" light then yes, this should work just fine. We're not too familiar with the specific scooter you have but in general most headlight plugs are universal.
@@RevivalCycles Cool, thanks!
got confused on step number 16. i'm missing a hand now. what do i do from here?
A Question from Germany ... Does the part have an E number or a release for Europe (Germany)?
This headlight is SAE and DOT approved but unfortunately it is not E rated.
How many lumens does the luminous flux have?
like saving
How is the current controlled?
How much current does the light draw?
Does the light contain a fan to cool the added resistance built into the light?
Thanks
Sealed LED headlights rarely if ever use fans for cooling. The headlight specs are below. 😘
2D1 High/Low Beam
SAE DOT Certification
Voltage - 12.8
High Beam 22 Watts Max
Low Beam 10 Watts Max
Expected Life Span 15000Hrs
@@RevivalCycles Wow! Those lights are awesome!
All the led lights I've installed required resistance.
Simply installing an led usually results in heat issues, wiring issues, lights blinking, bulbs popping, relay or ECM issues.
Thanks
I think that you should get some in stock so I can buy one. Otherwise looks cool
Is it possible to just switch the bulb? I don’t see why not but I’m just searching around now
Yes, depending on what bulb type your motorcycle uses you can purchase LED bulbs as replacements but the downside is they are usually pretty big due to the heat sinks on them and sometimes they don't fit into certain headlight buckets. They can be pricey for good one as well. This specific headlight in this video is sealed so there is no bulb to replace.
I didn't see it on the web page. Can you add a link?
At the moment these are out of stock. Please check back within the next few weeks for availability.
Thanks Alec … do they fit a RD350 ?
Pretty sure the RD's are 5 3/4" lights. We don't have one for those just yet.
@@RevivalCycles … is that size in the works or not intended ?
where can one find the LED 9" Headlights?
Google it by make and model. That's how I found one to fit my '79 XS750. Place I ordered mine from shipped from Kentucky & we're bike-specific. Super easy, $40-45
What if my bike doesn't have that fancy plug? Do you sell a plug?
@@motoweenies4431
Roger that thanks. And mine doesn't have it.
Company I got mine from put a couple of different options in the box, adapters-wise
My problem is that my supermoto powers the headlights via the alternator, and not the battery, so at idle the headlight barely comes on, and blinks which is really annoying and unsafe
Hello, I think that can be solved using a (very) simple voltage regulator circuit before the headlight. All you want is to smooth out those voltage peaks, that can be done with a voltage regulator and a capacitor. If you know anyone that has any experience with electronics (even some guy that repairs TVs and such) they'll help you out.
It's quite simple, small, and you can literally pull all the components needed out of some junk electronic.
