    I was looking for a good LED Headlight conversion kit for my Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic for a while, and then I came across on Amazon with this one, "Sealight" H4/9003 LED Motorcycle Headlight. I decided to give it a shot. Let's install and see if it is going to make any difference.
    Step 1:
    - We need to disassemble the headlight and remove the old bulb.
    - Secure the motorcycle on a level surface. I use my $20 stand for that. The link to the video showing how I did the jack is at the top right of the screen as well as in the description.
    - Remove the headlight trim screws from both sides of the headlight shell.
    - Pull out the bottom of the trim ring and remove it from the headlight shell.
    - Disconnect the electrical connector from the backside of the original bulb and remove the lens unit.
    - Remove the rubber cover from the back of the headlight lens unit.
    - Unlock this clip and remove the light bulb. Don't touch it with your hands. You might reuse it at some point and you don't want to have any residual of skin oil or grease on the bulb glass as it is not good for it.
    Step 2:
    - Now we will install a new LED bulb. I'll talk about the bulb itself a bit later, so stay tuned.
    - Press downward and take off LED bulb's ring turning it anti-clockwise.
    - Put the LED bulb's ring into the lens unit and lock it with the clip.
    - Install the rubber cover back onto the lens unit.
    - Insert the LED bulb into the slot correctly positioning it, press down and then turn clockwise to lock it in place. Make sure that this part looks to the right if you are facing the front of the lens.
    - Now connect the three-wire plug. Make sure it is tight.
    Step 3:
    - Install the lens unit and the trim back into the headlight shell. It is simple we just revers the removal steps.
    About the LED bulb:
    - Now lets talk about this LED bulb a bit. I will show you the difference how these two bulbs are lighting the road in a coupe of minutes.
    - OK, here is a box with the LED bulb. For Kawasaki Vulcan 900 you need to buy model H4, series S1.
    - As per specifications it clams that the color temperature is 6,000 Kelvin which is considered a cool white light color.
    - Operating temperature is from -40C to +85C that is pretty good.
    - It also says it is IP67 waterproof, as well as shock proof.

      Hi,
      Yes, absolutely. There are two things to note:
      1. Make sure it is installed in the right position. As I show it.
      2. It can be adjusted as well as a regular light with the adjustment screw.

    Hi Max. After watching your video of your $20 bike jack I subscribed to your channel. Max I have a question I’m hoping can help me with. My Vulcan 900 Classic is a 2006. Bought it used in May. In really good condition but I need to replace my front turn signals. I bought a set of 4 turn signals off of eBay...really cheap...the problem is the eBay turn signals have only 2 wire leads. The original turn signals have 3 wire leads. I can make the 2 wire turn signals work but I want to replace them with OEM turn signals. The only OEM signals I found are $69 each (also on eBay). If you know where I can get them cheaper please shoot short video describing the location. Thanks and keep up the great vids.

      @KMaxVideo  4 года назад +3

      Hi, Vulcan 900 Classic bikes have two versions of the front turn signals, with two wires for Australia or Europe, and with three wires for USA and Canada. It is hard to find new OEM parts for significantly less than MSRP. If you live in US, I think the lowest price is at bikebandit.com (parts: Kawasaki LAMP-ASSY-SIGNAL,FR,LH Part # 23037-0511 & Kawasaki LAMP-ASSY-SIGNAL,FR,RH Part # 23037-0512). Their price is US$55.95 each and free shipping in US if you buy both left and right. They also have "LOWEST PRICE GUARANTEE:. If you find a lower price, they'll match it. :) Ride safe!

      @@KMaxVideo Hi Max, I can give you some info on the M1 now.
      Amazon had sent me the M1 instead of the S1 you recommended. Spec wise both are identical. The M1 has the external controller. I was concerned it is going to fit all inside the headlight housing. Sending it back was going to cost me 24 bucks, so I thought, let's have a crack at it. The controller look bigger than it is on the package or photos. It is around 1 1/2" long, 1" wide and around 3/8" thick. Plenty of room inside the housing. And yes, very happy with the LED bulb and light improvement in the dark early morning ride to work. Love it.
      I also reduce/got rid of the headlight vibration. On the bumpy road it would vibrate the light beam somewhat. Since my bike is 15 years old, the rubbers must have shrunk a little. I ground down the spacer around 1 mm while having the lens out, now being firmer on the rubber grommet. Nice smooth light beam now. Frank

    • @KMaxVideo
      @KMaxVideo  3 года назад +1

      Hi Frank, mine S1 has exactly the same external controller as M1. That's why I couldn't see any difference. :) In any case, as long as it works as I expect it to do, I am cool with it. That's what matters, right? All the best! Max

    Hello Max. Bamadad53 again. I’ve messaged you before. Max I have a windshield similar to yours with a large rectangular cutout over the headlight. A lot of wind passes through that cutout. It looks like you have a rectangular shaped insert that blocks the wind around your headlight and that attaches to your main windshield. I’m hoping you can tell me where I can find one like it. Thanks Max and by the way I saved your oil change video and use it when I change the oil on my Vulcan 900 Classic LT.

      Hi, I know what you are referring to. I did not get it separately. I bought it together with the windshield. I think you can make one yourself. You can buy a piece of acrylic sheet at the hardware store and cut it out to the size and form. I can take exact measurements for you. It looks like it is about 1.5-2 mm thick. If you have the same windshield as I do, you'll need a peace 16"x10".
