Welcome to another one of my Full Flight videos! Once again I head back to my hometown of Austin, Texas on the best plane out there, the mighty MD80! I made sure to get to the airport around 7 in the morning so that I could have plenty of time to get some plane spotting in. When I'm walking down the jet bridge and see that beautiful shining airframe, my excitement level jumps up big time. I love the simplicity, design and look of the interior to the lights and buttons above your head to the lavatories. The smell of the cabin as well is just terrific. I chose my seat well in advance right next to those awesome JT8D's. I got a stunning view of the fan blades spinning inside. I took a visit to the cockpit after I found my seat. The captain and F/O were really great guys and let me have a great look around. I showed them all I knew about the plane and learned some as well. The captain said to the F/0 that maybe I should fly us up to Chicago instead haha! I know how American pilots are with using idle reverses so I asked if they could go full reverses and said yes! Boy did they deliver! The service on the flight was alright as always in economy and the flight was brilliant overall. A couple bumps here and there avoiding storms but mostly smooth air. They drinks service is starting to look a lot more like Delta's with the pretzels and coke napkins I saw which to me I really liked the AA napkins and I wish that they would serve a cookie or two instead and not do the same thing Delta is doing. Just my opinion. One of my best flights to date and favorite landing yet! I hope to enjoy more Maddogs in the future! Thanks for watching! Please Like, Subscribe, and Peace. (Link to next part soon)

While the engine is starting up, you can hear the exact moment the combustion chamber begins heating the air in the engine 10:09. That is really cool!
Five years ago this day My mom and I made a sad trip to Chicago to attend the funeral of my grandfather who died on the 75 anniversary of D-Day on June 6,2019 three days before my Birthday! He was 97 years old and he served in the armed service in World War 2,I missed my grandfather! Blessings and HUGS 👑💜

Iv'e watched tons of these full flight vids on youtube. This is one of the BEST ones I've seen. REALLY well timed cuts... just enough shown of the current scene before moving on to the next visual. NIcely done man!

Few months ago, I wanted to fly in a Maddog when going to Knoxville from St. Pete Clearwater via Allegiant Air. But they now have A320's in place, slowly phasing out the MD80s. I mean the Airbus was nice but oh well.

my aunt lives right near the airport in Atlanta I go there like every summer but I'm from Virginia I just fly into altlanta and also I'm a fan of the md88 the md80 I like the md88 but when I get on it I always see md88/90 or something like that but other than that great video!!!!!!!!!

I've been to ATL airport more times than I can count yet have only been a transfer passenger. I've been to Atlanta years ago yet drove from Austin.
Amazing video! I sure miss seeing these Silverbirds at Chicago O’Hare. Also, I wanted to add that the Flight Attendant at the beginning was a Karen. Haha 😂 I’m glad you continued filming because AA should be well aware of aviation enthusiasts and the Constitution.
I know, right? What's up with her? People can absolutely film onboard. Only countries like Russia and North Korea forbid that and have strict flight attendants. Wonder what she's hiding.

Super SpotterATL No Problem. Yeah is their stupid policy of photography of their equipment and personnel. Most idiotic thing I have ever seen. To be quite honest, they aren't really American at all if they call themselves American Airlines and put that policy.
Hey American gave me the same trouble on my trip recently. I was so mad! Delta hasn't given me any trouble though.
William R. Wallace Its a mixed batch. Either they don't give a flying f##k or they do. Yeah Delta has some of the best customer service on their flights and theyre pretty cool about it. They know they've got cool planes😎
Super SpotterATL I fly delta all the time from Chicago to Atlanta and back it is cheaper because Atlanta is deltas hub,
I think that delta is the best airline in my opinion it gives you free cookies.
Remember Chicago has two major airports: Midway and Ohare (the reason for that other plane off in the distance)
No the plane off in the distance was also landing at O'hare. If the plane was landing at Midway, it would've been a smaller plane with it likely being Southwest and landing in the southern side of Chicago.

I love this video I have flown out of Gate H9 from O'Hare to LaGuardia b4 on American and I have flown the ORD-ATL-ORD route before but on American I hope they bring back the new A319 on that route the ORD-ATL-ORD route because they have it on the summer route too I checked aa.com and I do miss flying the Super 80's I haven't flown on them since they took those aircraft off the ORD-LGA-ORD route

Nice videos man!!!! I'm sorry that the flight attendant got mad but it's BS that she told you that :( I usually record after I take my seat. I was on a American Flight from Orlando to DFW and recorded the Take-Off and the Landing. Do you fly on other airlines besides American and Delta? Like KLM or other International aircraft? I went to Greece on KLM and I had a blast there!!! That was the first time in a long time that I went to a different country. Another country was Germany but I went on American for that trip :) I don't have a RUclips account but I like to see videos like these. Very well done!!!

Thanks for the kind words! Yes I just flew on Easyjet and Thomas Cook recently. Ive flown on British Airways, Swiss, Aerlingus, and some other airlines in the past. I hope to go on KLM! It'd be amazing if i could go on one of their Fokker 70's and 747's! I will be uploading plenty more flights in the upcoming future from Easyjet and Thomas Cook with one more Delta flight and 6 more possibly 11 American flights.
Nice!!!! You'll like KLM because it has much leg room. I'm not judging it like Delta. Don't judge me but I think KLM has the best leg room on a large plane that I flew to Greece. American and Delta have decent leg room. That's cool that you've flown on multiple airplanes. There's a lot of planes that I haven't been on and they go to different places and countries. I like the colors on the British Airplanes. I want to go to London so bad!! There's a lot of places that I want to visit and London is one of them. Another country is Spain cause they have those pretty Andalusian horses. Spain is my number 1 country to visit. Hopefully, the Mad dog will still be running for you and you can go on some more. Again, sorry for the flight attendant situation and keep doing with what you love. Also, I think the KLM that I went to Greece on was a 747-200 aircraft (I'm guessing). It was a huge plane!!!
Did y'all notice the airline employee (a fueler, maybe?) at the beginning, during flight preps outside, bonk her head? I thought "ouch!" and no doubt she was oblivious to the fact that her receiving a knot on her head will live on in RUclips perpetuity.

Sorry to be adding comments so late after your upload, i only just found your account and have been slowly working my way through your videos haha! I was just curious? Did you resolve your issue with the flight attendant at the end of the video? Nobody seemed to be mad about you walking up to the flight deck recording? I think its annoying how as you said there's no rules against people recording yet a lot of flight attendants play by their own rules. I've got into trouble before walking about the cabin and looking at the restrooms but never boarding the plane. The way I see it is, if you don't record someone's face intentionally it shouldn't be a problem!

I already went up to the flight deck before departure and talked to the pilots for like 10 min. Nothing else happened with the flight attendant thank God. Very glad to hear you like my videos! I talked to a former TWA pilot on Thanksgiving day this year. I went on a trip to Dallas and back just to get on one of those birds. He told me that the MD-80's could go on another 15-20 years. All they'd need is a re-enginement. And Boeing doesn't want to do that because they want to sell 737's. Sorry 737's are too generic at this stage. Their engine noise is pitiful compared to the MD-80 series. At least Delta won't be retiring their MD-90's and 717's for a while. They're the last vestige of the classic T-tails with the loud engines. I have a channel, not under this account, but I uploaded several videos from a trip I took in October on Delta's MD-88. I got some really good shots. I need a better camera with a better mic, but I got the engine noise, that's what counts.

Zac Grant Actually the MD80 has a faster landing speed than most other aircraft so it does seem your going fast but it's actually pretty slow for these guys!
