  • Thanks to Creality, I finally have laser engraving capabilities in my shop!
    In this video I unbox, assemble and try out the new Creality Falcon Pro 10 watt diode laser. If you're looking to get into laser engraving, don't spend thou$ands on a big space-eating machine. This little laser is beginner friendly but with the Creality Falcon Pro you won't be a beginner for long, and this machine will continue to work for you!

    went through at least 20 other review videos. this video was the most helpful. and that stencil for starting point. I was beating my head over that for so many hours such a simple solution. Thanks a ton my friend.

      @@stuffsethmakes One quick query . can we fit a honeycomb laser bed 400x400 mm with this. the default add on has a smaller one i guess.

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  5 месяцев назад

      @Sunil-zk4gb I believe so. I'll have to double check the dimensions since i'm not familiar with mm dimensions 🤦🏻‍♂️. I'll look on the box tomorrow and see what size my
      honeycomb grid is and reply back.

      so i checked this morning. the box doesn't have the size on it but the honeycomb grid measures 19.75 inches by 19.75 inches square 👍🏻

    Another awesome video, and a great overview of a really cool product! Impressive to see how quickly you were able to diagnose and resolve some initial setup issues and then rapidly advance into cool projects! BTW, some of those little tips to help with small gaps in the instructions were awesome! When i built my first 3d printer, I encountered little things like that (which are inevitable for this type of project) so I bet future Creality owners are going to really find this helpful.

    Hey, many thanks for the detailed video! I've bought this device and the only thing I couldn't figure out with the assembly is how to secure the air tube without making a future problem. I have no experience with lasering and neither the manual nor the official tutorial video show this part. Thank you! I can use my Falcon Pro without the anxiety of the tube jamming mid project!

      awesome! glad it was helpful👌🏻. I'm setting up the 40watt model they just sent me and the air tube is secured a little differently/better on this one. Haven't run the new machine yet (hopefully this weekend) but i'll have a video it shortly as well. Thanks for watching! p.s. I've been loving the 10watt laser and getting a lot of use out of it. It'll be interesting to compare it to the 40watt now👍🏻

      thanks Michael! I never know how much editing to do. Do I make the effort and do it how i like to edit to the music and the beat, etc even though it takes longer? Or do i just knock out basic footage with no creativity and get them done faster? I may never figure it out but I'm glad there are people like you that appreciate my edits! thank you! 🙌🏻

    Hello Seth, I understand you are the man when it comes to Creality Falcon Pro 10w. I have this unit and love it except for the rotary attachment. I can't seem to get things right. I have contacted the vendor about my problems without success. Do you have the basic setup instructions for the rotary for the chuck unit? I have followed the user manual but all I get is the mug that I am trying to engrave just turns round and round. All I get is a solid line all around the object.

    • @stuffsethmakes

      "the man"? me? haha👊🏻 Well i think im about to be downgraded to "the boy" after this reply haha🤣
      Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you. I don't have the rotary attachment (not sure if I'll really use it or not), so I'm sorry but I don't have any experience with rotary stuff. Are you sure it's the laser and not the software you're using?
      Email me directly through my website and I can see if I can put you in touch with somebody at Creality (🤞🏻). Sorry I couldn't be of more help on this one!

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  2 месяца назад +1

      yes! having used it a lot more now I've found in Lightburn that i still need to manually select the usb port for it to communicate with the machine even though "auto" is selected. I do see that I need to update the version Lightburn...maybe eventually one of the updates will solve that.
      Creality just reached out to me about a new version of a laser (Falcon2 PRO, there's a 22w and a 40w model)...keeping my fingers crossed. Would be a great opportunity🤞🏻

    Hi, they have a cheaper option with 7.6W here in Europe, what do you think for first one ?

    • @stuffsethmakes
      @stuffsethmakes  3 месяца назад

      i think that would probably be a great option to get started! I think if you're unsure about how you'd use a laser it's good to start small (especially budget) and see how you like it. You'll probably end up learning quickly and thinking of all kinds of stuff you could do if you had a more powerful laser. At that point maybe you feel better about getting a bigger laser and then you can go from there. I still use this 10w model and it's been great for my needs (although there are times when i feel like the 22w or 40w would be nice but I also have a cnc so I'll also use that in my workflow too). Have fun!👍🏻
