    I am American-Lithuanian and I have so many wonderful childhood memories of these dishes. Lithuanian food is comfort food. 🇺🇸 🇱🇹

    My Mom made kugelis with bacon and used the bacon grease in the mix. We grew up on it.

    As 2nd generation Americans we looked forward to močiute Having us to dinner. My favorite thing is still barsciai, although we pronounce it barsciu. Grandparents were from Bulenai, not far from Kurtuvenu kaime.

      Barščiai and barščių is the same, jus different declension form 🙂

      1:59 omg I'm thinking, Lithuania is on my bucket list so I can try the purple creamy beet soup. ❤ beets. Meat and potatoes, that's how food should be - less complicated, quality ingredients, simple is best imo 🙂

    As Lithuanian I'll correct Justina... Borch is not as she said it's Russian as most ppl say it's Ukrainian. She Forgot to Mention Potato Dubenėliai it's same potato as you make Didžkukuliai, but you make as a bowl you just press your thumb. Also Virtiniai n in Poland it's not our it's Siberian food they invented.

    In June 13-15 so I have only tasted grilled chicken - even not Traditional food but food is high quality and well done.. Delicios! And when I walked around Vilnius Old Town so I have visited a nice and cosy traditional Conditory & Café.. Good traditonal cakes! ❣🍰🍵 The first time in Lithuania with 3 thai freinds from Bangkok - we have planed to take this trip toghether. 👫🧑‍🤝‍🧑 They like Lithuania too. Specially Beer 😊
