Yeah I thought I knew a lot about MacOS. I learned quite a few things in this video. Really loved it especially since I'm a keyboard shortcut kind of person not a clicker.
I literally use 80% of these regularly and have given the same "lectures" for the more general ones to my customers. This is an impressive list; it's RARE someone knows as many generalized tips as I do ... let alone to teach me a few.
Snazzy can you make a video about how to run windows applications on Mac without using boot camp? About to buy a laptop and I would really appreciate your opinion.
Here's an extra tip: use Stickies to take notes from RUclips videos! Works best in Firefox because Firefox won't move to its own exclusive desktop when you full-screen it.
Wow. I use my mac for about 6 years and thought "okay... 36min for tips you already know and which every RUclips show?" I give it a try and more than 75% are new for me! Thank you very much, I think, that will help my workflows a lot :)) Greetings from Germany
Started binging your videos since last night and I gotta say, you're probably the only youtuber who gets straight to the point and delivers stuff while not being robotic or boring while doing so as well. Cheers!
21:15 for making the little sound when adjusting volume, it should say hold shift, not the space bar. How you managed to absolutely nail every other one is beyond me. Awesome video!
I have always felt extremely grateful for this series of Mac tips, and it was really nice (and a good idea) to see them + others all compiles. It was a great run!
21:08 - Missed one of my all time favorites for screenshot tips...- (it's probably already been mentioned) hold "control" while taking any of your Command-Shift-4 shots and it will put it right in the clipboard instead of making a file.
20:00 and you can add Ctrl to the Screenshots Shortcuts (e.g. Cmd+Shift+Ctrl+4) and the screenshot go to the clipboard instead of creating an image. Very convenient if you just want to show something in a conversation.
I don't even own a Mac, yet I continue to watch all these tip videos. Mac seems to have much better search features and a lot of cool customisability even though it sucks in other areas.
23:09 If you have a Force Touch enabled trackpad (found in 2013 Retina MacBook Pros and up or 2018 Retina MacBook Airs and up, along with Magic Trackpad 2), you can also force click on the word and it automatically opens lookup.
I just joined the Apple Ecosystem after being an android user all my life and omg you have saved me from losing my mind trying to figure out how to navigate this laptop. Very helpful Thank You so much!!!!
Why would you ever considering this? :D I am on windows and i love watching those mac tips, because macOS is so much superior. Its just so well thought out that using windows makes me sad. :D
Great video snazz! I remember most of these from all of your other mac tips videos (which is what made me find your channel years ago) but I still watched it all and loved it!
Thank you! I just came back to the Mac for the first time in a decade (since the OSX beta in 2000). I’m a network engineer and I’ve been stuck in the Windows world. I finally made the leap back with an M1 MacBook Air. I’m loving the laptop, but I’ve been struggling with the UI-I think more than a new user. :) This video really helps me with just the right level of tech expertise. I really appreciate it.
Please help! Is there a terminal command to disable Safari sidebar popping out whenever a mouse cursor flies around the left side of the screen? This is sooooo annoying. Thanks for this amazing video!!
Option clicking for boolean criteria in smart folder searches is life changing! I tested it in Music too, and now i can make better Smart Playlists! THANK YOU QUINN!!!!!!
21:15 .. I get no clicks or any sound when pressing spacebar while volume-adjusting? I'm on latest Catalina and yes my system sounds are played through my currently active output..However I found out while holding alt and pressing either mute/volDown/volUp sound preferences open. I'm a sound guy and this comes in handy for me.
iirc you can also drag and drop items into applications in the task bar at 4:38. Eg looking for a photo and dragging it into photoshop right in Finder.
i've been using mac forever, and honestly this is one of the best videos and you actually improved my "experience" using mac... i'm actually saving this video in my playlist... thanks nelson 👍
this video needs to get more likes! can't believe it only got 17K. this was extremely helpful for a Mac noobie like me struggling with keyboard shortcuts.
Instead of right clicking the video twice to play it in PIP mode you can just right the little "This tab is playing audio" icon either in the tab or in the address bar and choose "Play in Picture in Picture Mode" This even works on websites where you can't do the double right click menu trick like Netflix and Twitch
Thank you for allll of these!! I need some help please ... how do I stop APPLE MUSIC from always starting to play a song I download? super annoying .. when I have a bunch of tracks I download from my email each one keeps playing in Apple Music as soon as it downloads ... any help please?

Question at 1:52 you said BetterZip has a free download for Zip, can you provide any details or the link for the Betterzip quick look download? I ask because I only see a ver 1.5 legacy quick look version or the full Current version 4.2.5 (that incl. the free Quick Look generator) but not a current version of just Quick Look. THANKS !!
Is there a blog/webpage where all these could be listed, because frankly every time I try remembering one of these tips, it hets cumbersome to revisit the video and find that particular tip.
what I saw from 10:13 to 12:19 as a photographer is a reason to go and buy a mac... NOW. Also batch renaming is the reason of why I use bridge all the time and I see that mac os renaming function is as powerful, this looks like the best os for creators. 18:34 thats actually a yt function, it works on chrome and windows as well.
So glad there are more people out there that use 3-finger drag. Apple should really add this to their iPad Trackpad options as well. Thanks for the quick show-hide of the Dock, that’s handy!

I love these kinds of videos. It really helps me take advantage of all that mac offers and understand how to get the most of the OS. These are much appreciated.
I'm following along and pausing the video to implement these. Only problem, I'm using El Capitan and some of these don't work. Hehe. 16:47 Another way to cycle through tabs in Safari is, Control-Tab and Control-Shift-Tab.
One way to do it would probably be to collect/copy all of the .plist files for Finder and various other applications that you changed settings in. Some of them are deeply hidden. Now that you can't block copy the whole OS as an image to be restored later, this has gotten a lot harder to do. Time Machine restore will restore most, but not all settings.

Have to thank you for this. A lot of these will come in handy since I'm starting to get into travel blogging, and managing the content before editing will be much easier with a lot of these tips.

Shane you could use wine but generally if you’re looking to use windows applications it’s best to use boot camp.
Somebody said Snazzy Mac Tips in the comments below, so I made this ruclips.net/video/dFPR5V38kVc/видео.html because I'm quarantined and bored.
4:30 You can also add programs to the toolbar and than open files with that program by dragging the file to the icon of said program

I can't hear it neither with shift nor with spacebar lol
Thanks I'd thought it was because I was using an old mac it didn't work, shift now works for me. It's useful to see if a bluetooth speaker is working.
